It's been a long time but I will never write this review if Dr. Dean did his job on me right the first time. He put my first implants with one of the screws showing in the gum. I told him about it but assured me that it will be ok. Dr. Kimmel in New London did my teeth. I informed both of these dentists of my disappointment but it was never corrected. So Dr. Sonick in Fairfield removed the implants because it was weak and failing. So there's my second implant which didn't end there. It's about time for this dentist to know that when patients are not happy, correct the problem since you know it will fail eventually. Be honest and don't dismiss your patient. My mistake young Dr. Dean led me to a long journey of pain, massive expenses, and a waste of time. He is not an honest person.

Beware - This doctor does not participate with any insurances! They fail to tell you that when booking appointments for fear of never getting patients

I have had mixed experiences with the exact same people here; in my initial consultation and longer appointments, they are extremely friendly and put me at ease. In a shorter checkup when I was late and other people were too, they rushed and didn't readily listen to my feedback. However Dr Dean is an excellent dentist for treating TMJ and helped relieve pain I'd suffered for years. He trusts his patients' reports of what bothers them and is able to educate them about their condition and how it can improve.

I too had a similar experience to the other review here. I refused to pay for a mold of my daughter's mouth which they attempted but couldn't complete, the trays they have are too large for children but they wanted to try anyway. I was not informed that this was something that we would have to pay for as I was also not informed there would be an out of pocket expense for the therapeutic ulatrasound the doctor performed on my daughter. I felt very rushed and didn't care for the care provided by this doctor. I will leave the area for further treatment.

When I first met with Dr Dean I was sceptical as I have had a few bad experiences with dentist. However he explained clearly all my options and after my first visit he knew exactly what was needed for my dental care. I'll admit that I ignored my teeth for many years and I was embarrassed it took me so long to finally get to a dentist. Dr Dean really cared about my dental outcome and I'm smiling again so thank you!

Great experience as a patient! Dr. dean has a very gentle touch. He made me feel comfortable and at ease; the office is cozy like a warm mom and pop kind of place - he listened to my every word and took plenty of time to explain what he was going to do through drawings and the like ... Five Stars

Dr. Arthur Dean's office and staff provide a serene and comfortable envriornment. I have had several visits there and I felt at ease and well cared for, they go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. It is a family oriented enviornment. Dr. Dean is an expert at what he does and I have had much success in reversing my periodontal issues since initiating treatment under his care. Pete Antico

I went here the other day for TMJ problems, and they checked me out. initially they seemed kind, but they were trying to overcharge me $1,200 for a simple mouthguard! normally they run for $500 dollars. they were also trying to get "down payments" of money, and trying to rush the whole process. they were very nasty on the phone with me and hung up after i told them i'm not paying that amount and it's unreasonable, and even had the nerve to say they've been undercharging for years. Terrible service in my humble opinion.
