ID LIKE TO FIRST THANK THE STAFF FOR BEING SO KIND! BUT THE WAY IT WAS HANDLED BY THE DENTIST,WOW MIND BLOWER. MY HUSBAND WAITED 5 WEEKS FOR A LETTER TO BE SENT TO HIS ONCOLOGIST TO CLEAR HIM TO HAVE A TOOTH EXTRACTED. THE DENTIST NEVER SENT THE LETTER AND THE STAFF COULD NOT FIND A LETTERHEAD TO SEND . ITS ABSOLUTELY THE WORST OFFICE EVER. I BLAME DR HARRIS. HIS STAFF CAN ONLY DO AS INSTRUCTED. HE IS THE DR WHO DETERMINES HOW THE PATIENTS ISSUES ARE HANDLED, NOT THE STAFF. THE DR IS ONLY IN ONCE A WEEK AND CLEARLY THATS NNOT HELPING ANYONE. I WISH THERE WAS SOMONE WHO COULD CORRECT THIS BUT CLEARY THERE IS NO ONE IN CHARGE,ESPECIALLY NOT THE DENTIST. AGAIN, THE STAFF WAS ABSOLUTELY THE KINDEST AND MOST CARING FOLKS I HAVE MET. SHAME ON YOU DR HARRIS FOR NOT PROVIDING THE PROPER CARE NEEDED FOR A CANCER PATIENT TO HAVE PROPER DENTAL CARE . I AM LOOKING FOR A DEPARTMENT IN NYC WHO I CAN CALL TO CORRECT THIS. THIS DENTIST IS BY NO MEANS PROFESSIONAL!

I'm giving it two stars because the Dental assistant is very nice. He is such a sweet heart and deserves better treatment. With that said, I will NEVER come back here. I was on Medicaid, I don't have the money to spend on extra things and they wanted me to spend $400 dollars extra. I needed a deep cleaning, I have no gum line in the back of my front bottom teeth. It was never put in for Medicaid to approve or deny. I went in February of 2022. I have severe gum disease, and all I have heard is cricket farts from them. Shame on them!

This place is horrible I went there with 1 cavity and left wit 12 and all of my fillings fell out ALL of Them.. the fat dentist is sloppy and very unprofessional and the walls and equipment is dirty.. please find another dentist I really want to give them -10 stars..

This place is HORRIFIC !!!!! IM SURPRISED THAT A BUSINESS LIKE THIS IS EVEN OPEN TO THE PUBLIC! I felt as though I was walking into a horror scene. I felt unease the moment i walked through the door. All the tools were unsanitary & there were holes in the walls and insulation falling from the ceiling. As you can see in the pictures, the vest used for the X-rays were extremely filthy and i was Truly disgusted. The sink to rinse out my mouth already had plaque and junk from the previous patient. It was absolutely disgusting. I only went here because i was in excruciating pain & was told that work could not be done because my insurance may not cover It; which in fact was not true. After speaking with my insurance they notified me that the dentist did not even send a authorization request to complete the work. It was an awful experience and absolute waste of time.

I'm a new patient at this dentist office. The gentleman that does the work is from former employer at Clinton Correctional institution is Great. The African American gentleman is the greatest assistant any office can have. The ONE THING that's needing immediate change is the front desk Receptionist name Vanessa. She is the most disrespectful front desk person I've ever experience. The front desk is the introduction to any business. I FEEL SORRY FOR ARTEMIS DENTAL....your business will not survive. I am starting special blogs over this disturbance.

Only giving this one star because it is impossible to give a zero star review. The dentistry is medioker but acceptable, the office is in a convenient location for the community but the service is horrible. The accrual dentis is awesome however he has been letting his receptionist mistreat the patients. I've had my appointment deleted without notice and was refused service even while having active coverage. I was in the office on Beach 20th street in Far Rockaway today for emergency services and couldn't get help with an appointment. My primary dentist was switched to the current dentist at that office (Kevin), and my insurance status was checked before requesting service. The receptionist who's name is a NON factor said that she "was not gonna help me make an appointment" to my face knowing the status of my insurance. Smh poor dentist. Good help must be hard to find because he hasn't fired her yet after all the complaints. I was able to finally have my insurance company contact the office to then get a chance to set an appointment. I'll only come back to that office if she is terminated.

Want Covid? Come here! No masks on the receptionist or the hygienist, I walked out. Also, it smells like actual sewage and is absolutely filthy. This place must be a joke, but it's not funny.

If I could have made this review without leaving a star they wouldn't have gotten one. The Receptionist is TRASHHHH and knows nothing about customer service. My question is this; how is she still an employee here and every single person who patronize this business have an issue with her? I'm confused!!!

Reading the reviews you would think they didn't do anything at all. The receptionist was easy to work with took my insurance and walked me through the process the best and fastest way possible. Compared to everywhere else I went in Rockaway, she didn't give me an attitude. Got my x-ray, dentist explained what's going on with my teeth, gave me a clean and referral to an oral surgeon- no problem found. The only place that accepted my insurance

It was my son and myself first visit with Dr. Joe and the ladies and the atmosphere was pleasant everyone was so pleasant. I really love the x-ray technician and Dr. Joe rocks he made me feel so comfortable he threw on the music and I forgot where I was at, I don't like dentists offices but this one I'm really comfortable with And I love the fact that Dr. Joe is kid friendly my son still talking about him I told Dr Joe once we're friends we're always friends

The doctor was very nice. He was gentle and informative, he took his time and gave me many options for fixing my problems without judgement I will be keeping him cause good caring dentist are hard to find for me anyway.

They wasted my time in going there. Instead of explaining they new paper work policy over the phone when the appointment was set up I got there and was not seen cause medically I had trouble filling out there forms online and they had no other accommodation to be able fill out the forms if they change the system they should have addaqit equipment to accommodate people with disabilities.
