For all my years in practice, my greatest reward has been being able to help others and establishing long term relationships with patients. I look forward to many years of being of service to others by providing conservative, high-quality dental care. My volunteer efforts have been my way of giving back for all I have received through the practice of dentistry.

Dr. Kinney graduated with his DDS degree in 1969 from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. He served as a Dental Officer in the U.S. Navy for 2 years before returning to Minnesota in 1971, where he would later start Art & Science Family Dentistry in 1973.

Dr. Kinney holds membership with the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Minnesota Dental Association, and St. Paul District Dental Society. He has also served as President of the Minnesota Academy of General Dentistry and President of the St. Paul District Dental Society, who presented him with the Outstanding Service Award in 1999. Dr. Kinney is also part of the Central Regional Dental Testing Service CRDTS (he was a past president and is currently a chief examiner), the Council on Dental Education and Licensure (as the vice chair), the 3M ESPE Dental Products Division (as an advisory panel member), and the Minnesota Academy of Comprehensive Dentistry (as president elect). He also volunteers his dentistry skills for the Union Gospel Mission in St. Paul and has received advanced dental education at the world-renowned L. D. Pankey Institute.

Dr. Kinney and his wife Julie have lived in the Woodbury area since the opening of his practice. They have 2 children, Bryan, a computer engineer at Trane Company, and Dr. Renee Kinney, who graduated with her DDS from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 2010 and currently practices with her father at Art & Science Family Dentistry.

I love dentistry because I enjoy helping people. Dentistry allows me the opportunity to use my understanding of biology and chemistry with my passion for art and creativity. Its very gratifying seeing patients that are happy with the outcome of our care.

Dr. Thomas J. Musser received his DDS degree in 1984 when he graduated with honors from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Minnesota Dental Association, St. Paul District Dental Society, and serves on the 3M ESPE Dental Products Division advisory panel.

Dr. Thomas J. Musser has also completed Invisalign training, an advanced dental education at the L. D. Pankey Institute, and a post-graduate continuing education program in Esthetic Dentistry at the University of Minnesota, one of the premier sites for introducing new technologies and techniques in cosmetic dentistry.

Dr. Musser serves as a cantor and choir member for the St. Ambrose of Woodbury Catholic Church. He has been on the board of directors for the Southeast Area YMCA for 9 years and has been involved in the Cub and Boy Scout programs as well as youth sports. He also enjoys golfing, hunting, fishing, and oil painting.

Dr. Musser and his wife Debbie, the current editor of the Woodbury Magazine, live in Woodbury. They have 3 children: Jon, a veterinarian at Eagan Pet Clinic; Michael, a research associate at Bio-Techne in Minneapolis, and Ellie, a graduate student at the University of Iowa.

Dr. Kinney graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a Bachelors of Science in chemical engineering and would later receive her Masters in chemical engineering from Colorado State University. She worked in New Mexico and California at Intel Corporations Research and Development facilities for 6 years. She would later graduate with distinction from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 2010. Along with her DDS degree, she received the Quality Care in a Caring Manner Award and The Professionalism Award from the university.

Dr. Kinney is a member of the American Dental Association and the Minnesota Dental Association as well as the Minnesota Dental Association Scientific Sessions Committee. Dr. Kinney is a member of the 3M Council for Innovative Dentistry. Dr. Kinney is a fellow in the American College of Dentists. In the fall of 2019, Dr. Kinney gave the keynote speech at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry White Coat Ceremony. She also volunteers for the Hope Dental Clinic.

When Dr. Kinney isnt helping patients at the dental office, she enjoys being outdoors. She volunteers as a nordic ski coach for the Stillwater Area High School, using the skills she developed when she on the nordic skiing team at UNH. She also enjoys running, yoga, bicycling, hiking, and reading.

Dr. Musser and his wife Debbie, the current editor of the Woodbury Magazine, have 3 children: Jon, who graduated from the Michigan State Universitys College of Veterinary Medicine; Michael, a University of Wisconsin-Madison graduate and lab technician at the Waisman Center Development Disorders Stem Cell Lab; and Ellie, who currently attends the University of St. Thomas. Dr. Musser serves as a cantor and choir member for the St. Ambrose of Woodbury Catholic Church. Barb has an associate degree in science from Normandale Community College. She enjoys offering quality, compassionate care without judging. Barb has been married for more than 29 years and has three adult children. When not at the office, she enjoys everything related to health and beauty, such as exercise, nutrition, hair, and makeup.

Danielle graduated from Century College in 2015. She enjoys working with our talented doctors and our wonderful team. She has two great sons. In her free time, she enjoys playing sports with her children.

Diane lives in Woodbury with her husband of 30 years. She has three adult children and a 12-year-old black lab. She enjoys working with our great patients at Art & Science Dentistry and she thinks the best part of her job is greeting and visiting with each and every person who comes in for a visit. She loves working with families who have been our patients for multiple generations.

Gayle Graduated from Northland Community in 1978 with an associate of arts degree. She then completed the dental assisting program from Moorhead Area Vocational Technical School and graduated with an associate of science degree in dental hygiene from Normandale Community college in 1984. She enjoys being part of a valued team at our practice. Gayle is married with a son and a daughter. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, sewing, creating and decorating photo books, being outdoors, and spending time at the lake.

Jill attended the University of Minnesota. She enjoys being a part of our wonderful team and working with great patients. She is married with three children and she enjoys reading, spending time with her family, and going to the gym.

Kitty is married with three kids, ranging from 20 years old to 9. Her children keep her busy when shes not at work. Kitty enjoys focusing on high quality care and exceptional customer service. She is proud to be part of our team.

Nancy graduated from Mankato State University in 1986. Since joining our team, Nancy has enjoyed working with our team and with her wonderful patients. She has been married for 27 years, and she has two sons. She also considers 20 students at the University of Wisconsin La Crosse as her extended family. Nancy enjoys golfing, rollerblading, biking, and cross-country skiing.

Rose thinks that the best things about Art & Science Family Dentistryare her coworkers and her patients. She graduated from Herzing University in 2003 and she is married with two children. Rose and her husband grew up in White Bear Lake, and they are now raising their children there. In her free time, she enjoys camping, gardening, relaxing in the sun, being outside, and riding 4-wheelers in the mud.
