His elementary and high school schooling were completed in the city of Tampico and Montemorelos. Following in the footsteps of his father and older sister, he studied dentistry at the University of Monterrey.
In 1974, he moved to the United States to receive a doctorate degree in Dental Surgery at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston School of Dentistry. His career began in Rio Grande Valley, TX, where he served for more than 45 years.
God was always Arturo's first priority and this was reflected in the spirit of service with which he approached every undertaking. One of his biggest dreams was realized by participating in the establishment of the Dental School of the University of Montemorelos. His generosity with his time and resources was reflected in his collaboration in dental clinics, missionary trips, Christian education and local church ministries.

Updated to add: ***Apologies were made when the office saw this review...and accepted.*** The doctors and staff are fantastic but the wait time for my daughter's appt. was ridiculously long today. We were there for 1 1/2 hours for a simple check-up where nothing was found or dealt with.

Great experience! As a first time patient, the team as a whole are kind and courteous and made my examination one of ease and comfort. They stayed in regular contact with me concerning my apppointment and even insurance. They were diligent in letting me know what my coverage allows them to do and working around what I wouldn't have been able to do at the time. It was a step above and beyond that I found to be a very nice touch. As far as the appointment itself, the Dr. and assistant did a quality job with examining and cleaning my teeth, being very thorough and meticulous in evaluation. The overall atmosphere was pleasant even in the wee hours of the morning, providing a quality environment that rests all unease. Certainly recommend them to everyone! Anyone in fear of the dentist can be at ease with the people here!

Dr. Lopez is kind, friendly, and thorough. In my situation he could have suggested a more expensive treatment, but he opted to suggest something less expensive with the same (or better) result. The office staff is also very friendly. I highly recommend this dental practice.

After several visits to my son's pediatric dentist, we decided to move his care to Art of Dentistry because we just weren't happy with the level of care he was receiving. On our first visit with Dr. Lopez, we knew we had made the right decision. From the scheduling, check in, exam, cleaning, and consult, we were treated so well. I feel that everyone in the practice listened to my concerns and addressed them. I'm so happy we made this change!

This was my first visit at Art of Dentistry and I was very pleased with my experience. The dentist, hygienist, and staff were all very courteous. More importantly my dental exam and cleaning were extremely thorough. My daughter had an appointment the week before and she voiced the same opinion.
