Dr. Mark Kolchansky received his dental degree from the University of Kalinin, Russia in 1975. He graduated second in his class. He continued on to Dnepropetrovsk Medical Institute to study in the Department of Oral Surgery. He was involved in various research projects and vastly contributed to the Department of Oral Medicine at the institute. He then went on to study in the Department of Prosthodontics. After immigrating to the states, Dr. Kolchansky continued his studies at Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. He successfully passed the National Board of Dental Examinations and the California Board of Dental Examinations. He has been practicing in California since 1999. Dr. Mark brings a high level of experience in the field of dentistry. Dr. Kolchansky comes from a background of several generations of dentists. His brother, daughter, son in law, sister in law, and father in law are all dentists.
A forty-five year-old patient was not dating for 3 years, being subconscious about his teeth and his smile. After Dr. Mark performed cosmetic restorations and some prosthetic work, his patients smile was restored. Six months later, the doctor was pleased to hear that his patient was marrying and starting a family. Till this day, this patient routinely visits the doctor and refers all of his friends and family.

Best dentist ever! I have no idea why people are afraid of going to the dentist. Dr. Mark Kolchansky has such great bedside manner, and I've never felt more comfortable in another dentist chair. My wife and I have been going to him for many years, and I literally fall asleep when he fills a cavity (he filled 3 for me a few months ago in what felt like 5 minutes... I thought he finished 1 when he handed me the mirror to see, but he did all 3!!!). The entire staff is amazing and so hospitable and friendly! I never have a single complaint. You are crazy if you don't go to this dental office!!

My tooth was bothering me for a while, happened to be root canal. Doctor is so sweet, makes me feel comfortable. He finished it quick and no pain at all. He is my savior. Anytime i go to see him, i know i'm in good hands, i just sit back and relax.

Quick service, no pressure to upsell. We don't have insurance, price was reasonable. Dentist was very pleasant.

The dentist is kind, knowledgeable and gentle. His secretary Dmitry however, is one stubborn angry guy. We won't be back simply because of him. We sent formal written requests 12-20-21 and 02-21-22 for copies of our x-rays and charts which by law they are required to provide within 15 days. He however has refused indicating the account is past due. Dmitry wrote: "Radiography for delinquent accounts will not be released until accounts are settled." Dentists are not allowed to withhold patient records regardless of the status of the financial account. And I gave him my credit card authorization on 12/31/2021. It's only "past due" because of him. Instead of charging my card and submitting the bills to our insurance correctly, he says he sent our account to collection. This is just one of many administrative mistakes he's made. I've asked him to fix his errors and have even helped him as much as I can by contacting our insurance myself. I've provided him with names, phone numbers and case reference numbers and instructions on what to do. He either isn't capable or is just too stubborn and angry to admit he made mistakes. Again, the dentist is good but his secretary Dmitry isn't. It's such a bummer for us because we really like Dr. Kolchansky.

Love this dental practice. Dr. Kolchansky is a caring doctor who understand clients dental issues and proposes cost effective treatment plan. This dental office uses latest technology to discover and treat patients in a timely manner with great results. Would highly recommend to any relative or friend!

Being an expat, I've had a lot of varied experiences at the dentist. Arroyo Dental is by far the best. Friendly, professional, caring. They suggest things only in the actual interest of your oral health and don't push unnecessary treatments on you for a profit motive. The staff work so well together, it feels like a well oiled machine. Communicate clearly and concisely, and provide full transparency of x-rays and imaging used to show and inform you. The dentist and staff are what make this place special.

Let me start by saying I have a ton of anxiety when it comes to the dentist. I hate it all. The sounds the smells. The pain and the pain in the wallet. However! This dentist office is amazing. They are kind and very understanding of anxiety and making me feel comparable. The doctor and staff are super nice and put you at ease. I definitely recommend this office. The work they do is exceptional as well. Very clean office. Can't say enough good things about this place. Thank you guys and girls again for taking such good care of me and making me feel comfortable when I was freaking out!!
