Teeth should be replaced immediately after a tooth extraction. Without your teeth, you may have difficulty speaking or eating properly. The surrounding teeth may begin to shift and move to fill the space, resulting in problems with your bite and the appearance of your smile. Even back teeth should be replaced as soon as possible.
Made up of an implant post which integrates with the jaw bone, an abutment and a crown, dental implants function much like your natural teeth. The post serves as the root of the tooth, supporting the entire implant and stimulating the jaw bone to preserve bone health. The crown is designed to look and function like a natural tooth.
Graciela moved to Arizona and has been working at Arrowhead Oral Surgery since February 2004. She obtained her Associates Degree in dental assisting in 1981. Prior to working with Dr. Allard, Graciela worked in general dentistry both as an assistant and as an administrative assistant. Her background gives her full understanding of all aspects of insurance, treatment planning and scheduling. Graciela speaks fluent Spanish and is CPR certified.
Maribel has been working in oral surgery since 1989 after graduating from Phoenix College as a Certified Dental Assistant. She has been at Arrowhead Oral Surgery since January of 2004. Maribel's entire career has been in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. She speaks Spanish fluently. She is CPR certified, certified in dental radiology, has completed the Anesthesia Assistants training program offered by the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and has completed the Sim-Man course offered by the American Society of Dental Anesthesiology. Maribel participates in continuing education courses on a regular basis.
Libby graduated from Bryman School of Dental Assisting in 2009 with Honors. She has worked at Arrowhead Oral since May of 2011. Libby has experience not only as a surgical assistant, but also as an administrative assistant. She is CPR certified, certified in dental radiology and has completed the Sim-Man course offered by the American Society of Dental Anesthesiology. Libby participates in continuing education courses on a regular basis.
Candice has been with us since March of 2015. Candice is originally from Massachusetts and has lived in the Phoenix area since 2011. Candice graduated from Altrain Dental Assistant Academy in 2014 with a 4.0 GPA. The rigorous training that Candice has undergone makes her a valuable asset to our office, as she has been trained in the clinical as well as administrative aspects of dentistry. She has excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal communication skills. She is also CPR certified.
Jessica joined Arrowhead Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2017. She graduated from the dental assisting program at Bryman College with honors in 2013. Jessica brings to our practice over seven years of oral surgery experience. She is CPR and radiology certified and has completed the Anesthesia Assistants course offered by American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.
Caitlyn joined us here at Arrowhead Oral Surgery in December of 2016. Caitlyn attended high school in the area and graduated from the Phoenix College dental assisting program in 2014. Her prior experience in general dentistry allows her the ability to explain all aspects of dentistry as it relates to the oral surgery procedures that she assists the doctor with. Caitlyn has completed the Anesthesia Assistants program and is CPR and radiology certified.
Cheryl joined Arrowhead Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2021. Having moved to Arizona in 2004 from the East Coast, Cheryl has been in the field of Dentistry for the past 15 years. For over a decade, Cheryl was the liaison between our surgical practice and the specialty Prosthodontic office we worked closely with in full mouth rehabilitation. Cheryl's experience as an administrative assistant allows her to often times be the first point of contact for both long-term patients, as well as new patients to the Arrowhead Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery team. Cheryl's venture into the surgical realm of patient care has brought a unique perspective to how we comprehensively approach patient care.

I have always been terrified of dentists! My teeth are terrible. I ended up hospitalized with a severe infection. Dr. Allred did my surgery the day of my release. My recovery was great and I had 7 teeth removed and a incision and drainage due to infection on my jaw bone!! I highly recommend Dr. Allred and his staff!! They all are AMAZING!!

Elective oral surgery suggested by referring practitioner. Hesitant and cautious until I was seen by Dr. Allard. He and his staff were concerned and supportive throughout the entire procedure and follow up. The actual surgery was without any complications and even though I am still just one week post-op, I am encouraged and hopeful.

The whole staff is incredibly friendly and efficient. A few hours after my surgery Dr. Allard called to check in and make sure I was doing ok! I couldn't of asked for a better experience. The front desk ladies are always incredibly helpful and nice, I would highly recommend them.
