Dr. Shin is dedicated to pursuing opportunities for continuing education in order to enrich his education and refine his technical skills by learning about the latest advances in dental technology and techniques. He has successfully completed advanced training in the following areas:
FAGD stands for Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry. Earning Fellowship takes dedication to dental continuing education (CE) beyond graduation. Only about 6 percent of general dentists in the U.S. and Canada are AGD Fellows. When you see a dentist with FAGD after their name, you can rest assured that they care about knowing the latest techniques and best practices in dentistry. AGD Fellows practice these techniques in a classroom setting multiple times a year not every dentist does this.
My top priority is to understand each patient's unique needs and expectations in order to create a comfortable and safe experience. I love helping patients understand their personal state of oral health and how it relates to overall health and well-being. I am passionate about promoting excellent oral health and toward that end, I provide my patients with both clinical treatment and useful education about effective dental hygiene. This combination gives them the greatest chance of successfully achieving long-term oral health goals and enjoying all the related benefits of a healthy smile.

I have not been to a Dentist's visit for some time (years). However I had to go due to a chipped tooth. I was totally impressed with the way the dental practice had changed. The initial visit was very good. The staff, the ones that I had come in contact with were very good and friendly, also they knew their jobs. This I found as a surprise considering having had more experience with staff that did not do their job or just didn't care. I highly recommend this office to others!! After my first scheduled cleaning I will very likely rate this as 5 star. TBC

The BEST dentist i have ever been to!! Dr Shen is creative and gentle and always tries to save you money whenever he can. Love him!! the whole staff is great and so professional! i can't say enough positive things about this wonderful practice!!

Oh gosh so much to say about this dentist office. The staff of nine women are absolutely genuinely sweet and professional. My dentist Dr Shin is the ULTIMATE professional. He is so NICE and so GOOD at his job. He puts me at ease with his confidence. At 66 I've had a lot of dental work I'm not a fan of going to the dentist but if I have to go, this office is where I'm going, I was new to Arizona when I needed to find a dentist and was glad my niece recommended Creekside Dental.

I absolutely love this dental office. Dr. Shin and his staff are always so friendly, but more importantly they have complete transparency on their treatments, insurance benefits and of course on anything out of pocket. They are a high tech office with all the latest devices in assuring you are getting the best possible treatment. This office has an absolute family vibe and makes everyone feel like more than just a patient! If your looking for a new dental office or your don't feel all of the above about your current provider, I'd advise you to give Creekside Dental a call, your teeth and gums will thank you!

I have been going to Arrowhead Creekside Dental for almost 30 years, since before it was Arrowhead Creekside. I think that in itself speaks volumes!! Going to the dentist can be one of anyone's least favorite 'have-to-do's', but Arrowhead Creekside makes it enjoyable. Dr. Shin and the staff are great!!

I have been going to Arrowhead Creekside Dental for 20+ years. They are always friendly and Wendy is a great dental hygienist. Dr. Shin is very down to earth and does excellent work. The front office staff is top notch.

Well,we had to find a new dentist since our dentist of 16 years no longer took our dental insurance. We researched Arrowhead Creekside as they were as close as you can want to a dental office. Boy, what a find!!!! From the staff at the front desk, dental hygienist, to Dr Shin. First Class VIP treatment from start to finish. Generally, I despise going to the Dentist. This office has changed my experience. I'm horrible at taking care of my teeth sometimes but Katie (the Dental Hygienist) had probably the softest touch out of anyone that's dug in my mouth with sharp hooks and needles. Even the deep clean I needed for my gums didn't really phase me. The Dentist, Dr. Shin, was professional, educated me in what he saw with my X-Rays. The bonus was he relayed the information in a way that didn't make me feel bad. Thank you. I hope to continue my visits here and will probably actually start scheduling a routine visit and not scare myself away. Edit: years later still going strong.
