Dr. William C. Johnston, a native of Monroe, Louisiana, graduated from Neville High School in 1971. He served four years in the United States Navy and two years in the reserves as hospital corpsman, lab tech. He graduated from the University of Louisiana, Monroe in 1979 in Pre Dentistry. He then went on to attend Louisiana State University School of Dentistry, graduating in 1983 in New Orleans. He moved back to Monroe with his wife, Kim, and two daughters, Carrie and Rebecca.He opened his dental practice in the summer of 1983 in Monroe.Dr. William has been happily married to his wife Kim Johnston for 42 years.
Dr. Johnston attends many continuing education seminars throughout the year. He completed post-graduate programs from Case Western Reserve University in Esthetic (Cosmetic) Dentistry, in 1992 and Baylor College of Dentistry in 1995. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Better Business Bureau, and the Monroe Chamber of Commerce.
Dr. Johnston is active in his community and church. He is a 2003 graduate of Leadership Ouachita from the Monroe Chamber of Commerce. His office supports many community programs such as Lifeshares Blood Center, ARCO, and is a strong supporter of the Louisiana National Guard. He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Dr. Johnston is an avid hunter and sportsman. He is past president of Tupawek Archery Club and Northeast Louisiana Archery Association. He likes to deer and duck hunt and loves to go out west to hunt elk with his bow.

My crown broke at 10:30am. I called them immediately and they got me in at 11! I saw Dr. Thornhill, had x-rays, was given a payment plan, and a referral by 11:30! He even offered to fix it that day. I was very impressed.

I have had a very rough, long road in my process of getting an implant. There were many complications that led to infection, it being removed, and damaging the bone where the implant was rooted. After 2 years, I was becoming desperate for any easy option for a new tooth. I was pushed by other dentists to get a bridge, which is incredibly expensive, but also would be a burden to take special care of for the rest of my life (I'm 20). I almost did it if it wasn't for my mom encouraging me to get another opinion because she was hesitant of the bridge, and I'm very glad she was and that I listened to her. I wasn't told of the downfalls of it until I came to get a second opinion here at Arrow dental. I'm so so glad I did. Instead of encouraging me to go through with an expensive bridge, they seemed to actually care of my well-being and the long term effects a bridge would have. They advised against it to my surprise. They took x-rays and told me bone growth was finally returning so an implant is still an option with a little more time. I've been being told it won't come back for probably many more years! They even called me back to give me better retainer options so that I can be less self conscious of my missing tooth. I don't have to take it out when I go out to eat anymore, yayyy! Overall, I've had many bad experiences with dentists so I'm very biased against them. But arrow dental made me feel important and that they actually wanted what was best for me, not for their paycheck. I'm very thankful and plan to stick with them as I finish out my implant process.

I am someone who suffers with severe dental anxiety. So much so I had not been to a dentist in 15 years. My teeth and gums were horrible. Setting up my appointment was a breeze. She was so kind and caring just over the phone! My first visit I was given a welcome gift. How cool is that! I had my consultation with Dr Thornhill. He and the staff worked to put me at ease from day one. They are all wonderful. I have had 7 extracted so far. Trust me when I say Dr. Thornhill is patient and wants you to have as much of a pain free experience as possible. Both times I have had very little discomfort. Piece of cake! He is the best. The staff also. So when you read all the reviews that speak to how friendly and caring they are, it's the truth! I am so thankful I found Arrow Dental!

The entire staff was so nice and friendly! The hygienist was very helpful, informative and calming as I am not very confident about my teeth. I absolutely love Dr Johnston! I would recommend anyone looking for a dentist to consider Arrow Dental!
