I graduated from California University of Chico and was also able to live in Spain for a semester abroad. In my free time I enjoy hiking, yoga, and eating SUSHI. My favorite thing about working in the dental field is being able to meet new people, forming friendships with patients and helping people.

I have enjoyed being a dental hygienist for nearly two decades. It is very important for me to treat my patients like family, being thoughtful yet thorough. I have been married for over 20 years and have 2 teenagers that keep me quite busy. Away from work I love to bake, spend time gardening and exercise.

I started as a dental assistant and returned to college for Dental Hygiene. I graduated from Parkland College in Champayne, Illinois. I find Dental Hygiene much more challenging and satisfying and have been doing it for the past 30 years. I enjoy educating patients about their oral health and what trouble those bacteria critters are causing. I keep current with latest in Dental Hygiene by regularly attending continuing education classes. I enjoy working in the yard, crafts and reading mysteries.

An implant is a titanium 'root' which can be placed into the jawbone. Once integrated with your bone, the implant can be used to support a crown, a bridge, or secure a complete denture. Dental implants may be used to eliminate partial plates and dentures. The success rates for dental implants are extremely high which is due in part to the fact that root-form implants are made of a biocompatible material, titanium. Dental implant treatment represents a slightly greater investment than conventional treatment; however, the benefits of implant therapy for most patients outweigh the minor additional cost involved.

Do you have missing teeth? It is critically important to replace missing teeth. Eating and chewing with missing teeth can sabotage your bite and lead to incessant discomfort. Missing teeth can give rise to a mouth rearrangement that often results in facial changes. If a tooth is missing or has been extracted for any reason, a single implant can be used to replace the missing tooth. The implant is placed into the bone of the jaw and acts as the new tooth root. After the bone has healed over the implant an abutment can be placed on the implant and a crown can then be attached. This method of tooth replacement looks and feels like a natural tooth.

In cases where multiple teeth are missing or have been extracted, multiple implants can be used to bring back your smile. The implants are placed into the jawbone and are given time to heal. After the bone has healed around the implants, an abutment is attached to the implant which then allows for a crown or bridge to be placed right on the implant. These new teeth will look and act just like natural teeth.

If you have slipping dentures and are tired of being self-conscious about the thought of losing them at an inopportune moment, a full arch implant might be the solution for you. Dental implants that can be placed to accept a full arch of teeth. This is done by strategically placing implants along the upper or lower jaw and attaching a denture-like attachment over abutments on the implant posts. Once placed, a full arch using implants will feel and perform like natural teeth. You will be able to chew with confidence and never have to worry again about losing your dentures.

When a tooth is extracted and an implant is to be placed (either simultaneously or in the future) it is always necessary to complete bone grafting within the residual sockets that are left behind after the roots of the tooth are removed. The shape of the tooth root is always different from the shape of a dental implant and hence there are always residual socket defects (holes) that must be filled in so that there can be excellent contact of the implant to the newly formed bone.

A key to implant success is the quality and quantity of the bone where the implant is to be placed. When patients lose their upper back teeth, there will be a greater chance for them to have less bone in their upper jaw due to the anatomy of the skull, and a natural process that occurs after the tooth is removed, called pneumatization.

The human skull has several cavities or air spaces called sinuses. When the sinus is enlarged and intrudes on areas where we want to place dental implants, bone or bone growth stimulation material is placed into the sinus. This procedure only affects the maxillary sinuses, which are located just over the molar teeth in the upper jaw. The side of the maxillary sinus is opened and the bottom is raised so it will fill in with bone. Several months later, dental implants can be placed in solid bone.

During sinus augmentation procedure, Dr. Arora will gently raise the sinus floor to the appropriate height. He will then fill the area with bone graft material. This will assist in building bone as a support to allow an implant to be placed. Depending on the patients case, the implant can either be placed the same day as the sinus lift, or after the first procedure has fully healed.

This is a great office. Dr. Arora and his staff make you feel immediately comfortable. They recommended orthodontia before they could repair my gums with a graft and after treatment the recession was resolved with no graft needed. So, you could say they fixed me without even trying! I hope I never need them, but if I ever do I will definitely be back!

Absolutely love Dr. Arora, he is fantastic!. I went in for a couple of implants and was really worried that they would be painful. He made the whole process easy and painless. His staff is wonderful and the office is clean and modern. Would definitely recommend him if you need to see a periodontist.

Dr. Arora and all his staff is really nice. I am afraid every time I get work done in my mouth. They make me feel relaxed and help me be comfortable with the work that is going to be done. I would highly recommend them for anyone that has fears about having teeth pulled or implants.

Amazing job. The fitment of my tooth is perfect with my gums. I've had previous implants from other practices and nobody compares to the quality of Dr Arora. If you want a nice looking tooth for life go see him!

Was referred to Dr Arora to have a gum graft done. I had a number of people tell me how painful and uncomfortable it was, so I expected to be just that, painful and uncomfortable. Uncomfortable? Sure, painful? Not as much as I thought it would be, but I also did my part to follow post treatment instructions. Soft food diet for two weeks is no joke (I really like texture in my food) that was the hardest part for me. Dr Arora and his team are super friendly and knowledgeable. They were able to answer all of my questions and respond with confidence. My gum graft was successful. I would definitely recommend.

Not only is Dr. Arora is very caring and accommodating, he is also patient and takes time to explain and answer your questions. Most importantly, he is very honest. He will NOT charge for treatments that he thinks are unnecessary. I am the type that likes to get a second opinion. I got sent to Dr. Arora by my dentist because he said I need a periodontist. I saw Dr. Arora the first time and he explained the details and procedures. However, I am the type that likes to get a second opinion. So, I went got a second opinion from another dentist. His website listed that his office can do implants, the whole nine yards. At least that was my impression, based on his website. My thought, cool !!! Maybe I do not need a periodontist. Well, after the initial exam, he told me that I will need a periodontist and his office will not be able to do the implant. He recommended a periodontist. His office even called the periodontist's office and I was immediately told I need a scan. It will cost $350 and the insurance does not cover it. So, I figured , well it is what it is. I called the periodontist and was told the next available schedule was in three months. I was thinking, WOW, three months for the next schedule, he must be really good and in demand Anyway, the lesson after two general dentists, is I do need a periodontist. But I will NOT wait three months for an appointment. I went ahead and made a schedule with Dr. Arora and was immediately scheduled and I am so glad I did. One of the BEST decisions I made !!!!! This time I pretty much know what I need. I ask if I need a scan and also told him that the two general dentists indicated that my sinus floor needs to be raised. Dr. Arora, said he'll see if I need scan when he starts the procedure and if he really needs to raise the sinus floor. He was pretty upfront and informed me that if I do, it will cost a little more . Well, it turned out, I do not need a scan nor does he need to raise the sinus floot. He saved me $350 on the scan. We never got around to the cost of sinus issue because it turned out I do not need one. Just like what I mentioned before, he is very HONEST. His office is staffed by three wonderful ladies. They are the most efficient staffs I've ever. They just take care of all your needs from making sure you have the accurate charges to ordering your prescription. Malena even went out of her way to check on my insurance when I thought my general dentist staff gave me the incorrect info. Debbie ordered double checked if got my prescription. They are always happy to help anyway they can.
