Dr. Ghassan Aro attended dental school at Damascus University, from which he graduated in 1994. He continues his dental education regularly to remain at the forefront of the dental field and provide his patients with the highest possible quality of care. He has received advanced training in a number of restorative and cosmetic treatments, including dental implants and dentures. Patient smile makeovers are not limited simply to cosmetic veneers, but also to restorative treatments such as the specialty dentures Dr. Aro provides. He is dedicated to providing a satisfying result and uses 3D imaging technology to visualize his patients results before making them a reality.
Dr. Aro and his wife, Mirna, have made San Luis Obispo their home for over 10 years. They have a daughter, Tatiana with whom they love spending time. Outside of spending time with his family, Dr. Aro enjoys fishing and working to improve his community.
Hi, my name is Summer. I have been with Aro Dental Practice for just over two years. I went to school at Allan Hancock College in Santa Maria for dental assisting and maintain state licensing even though I prefer the interaction with patients helping them through their treatment plans and seeing them return for maintenance. We have the best work family here at Aro Dental Practice. We enjoy doing team building activities outside of work and at work we all work as a team towards achieving the same goals.
My husband and I live in our home in Grover Beach with our two chiweenies, Buddy and Wally, and our 18-year-old kitty, Charlie. On my down time you will find me in my garden, crafting, hanging out with friends or visiting my family. I cant wait to meet you!
I graduated from Diablo Valley College in 2011 with my Associate of Science degree in dental hygiene. I joined Aro Dental Practice in 2012, and love helping people keep their smiles healthy and beautiful. I love my work family and the way we all work together as a team for a common goal, and I take pride in providing custom care to fit our patients individual needs so that they can enjoy optimum oral health and comfort.
My husband and I have two children, one daughter and one son, and a bulldog named Frank. Outside of the office, my hobbies including running half-marathons and lake activities such as wakeboarding and wake surfing.
I am our lead registered dental assistant and have been with Dr Aro for more than five years. I went to beauty college back in 1995 and received my license but figured out that wasnt for me. I went to school for dental assisting at Allan Hancock College in 2000 and started working in the dental field right out of school. I appreciate that Dr. Aro is caring about his job and he is always up to date on new equipment. I love that we all work well together as a team and are able to have fun outside of the office hanging out, and I like to make sure patients are taken care of and make sure they are comfortable as possible.
I recently married a wonderful man that is a great supporter in everything I do. I have an amazing daughter who recently graduated from EMT school and is in the process of signing up for the Navy. My wonderful son is in the Navy and is pursuing a career as a firefighter. In my spare time I love to spend time with my husband and doing crafts.
Hi my name is Lupe, I am bilingual and I have been in dentistry for just over 25 years. I have been working with Dr Aro for 2 years. I have had the opportunity to work in other offices on the Central Coast throughout my career.
For me working in dental is a privilege and I get happiness from being able to help others feel comfortable and build a friendship with each patient that visits our practice. One of the things that makes me feel happy is watching a patient complete their treatment and leave happy with their results.
I am a single mom of 4 children that have all been true blessings in my life. My 3 oldest have all graduated college and my youngest will graduate high school this year and go off to college. My hobbies include going to church, singing, camping, baking, visiting my family and being a Dodger fan!

As usual, I arrived on time and sat right down for a teeth cleaning. Quick and easy. The office Covid protection is superior, proper distancing and masking are still in place. This consideration is still very welcome to me.

I've been going to Dr. Aro's office for three years now the ladies in the front office are always cheerful and helpful and Dr. Aro always has a good story to tell and a bright smile to give. He does excellent work his history on his professional journey is amazing!

I love going to Aro Dental. Everyone is so friendly and make the experience of going to the dentist enjoyable. They explain everything to you thoroughly but don't pressure you into making expensive decisions. You get choices and they explain best practices which I appreciate.

Always get excellent service at Aro Dental. Dr Aro is so great to work with. Super friendly and is great at explaining everything about your dental health. The hygienist Crystal is very friendly and gentle with your cleaning for people like myself who have very sensitive teeth. The whole staff has always been very helpful and accommodating. I have been going to Aro dental for many years and refer all my friends and family to them.

Simply said, you will not find a better dental practice in San Luis Obispo County, and perhaps anywhere for that matter. Dr. Aro, Is exceedingly capable and skilled. I don't think there is anything he cannot do, and do it the best that it can be done. He is not going to do unnecessary work. He is not going to say there's no solution for this problem. He is not going to send you someplace else because he can't do it. He will find away to do what needs to be done and I have never left his office unhappy. And grateful. Summer Is, truly a pleasure to work with. While being the receptionist she is also VERY knowledgeable about dental work overall and believe me, that really helps. Crystal is the hygienist For Dr. Aro. I'm a senior, and up until Having her for a hygienist I've avoided getting my teeth cleaned , and rarely had it done. I don't know how she does it; but it is a different experience with her while the work she does is top notch. ( Thanks Crystal ) I have Had some very difficult work done by Dr. Aro including several implants and extremely demanding extractions. Marissa, his assistant , was right there. I never had to worry about Marissa wilting in the course of difficult procedures. She knows her work and does it well. Lupe is relatively new, my interactions with her so far we've all been very good. Historically, going to to the dentist has not been my favorite thing to do. But the atmosphere in the office is so light and there is such a sense of teamwork that I sort of enjoy it. If you want doom and gloom, you'll have to go someplace else.. You'll hear laughter and people just being people with each other ... talking about this and that. Another thing I appreciate is that there is a huge amount of respect for each other, especially with Dr. Aro himself in his relationship with his assistants and staff. I'm sorry this review has been so long but it is one way that I can say, "Thank You" to Dr. Aro and his team. Bryan, Cayucos

Hands down the BEST dental practice in SLO! The staff is attentive, professional, listens to any concerns you have, puts you in touch with the Dentist when you need it...I cannot say enough great things! If I were to move away from the central coast, I would seriously consider flying back to see Dr. Aro & his staff!
