I received my Doctor of Dental Surgery from Marquette University, after graduating from the University of Tulsa with a bachelor's degree in biology. I am currently a member of the American Dental Association, the Missouri Dental Association, and the Greater St. Louis Dental Society.I work hard to stay up to date with the latest dental technology and advances through continuing education. I try to give back to the community, via Give-Kids-A-Smile Day and Mission of Mercy, providing dental care to underprivileged populations. In fact, I became interested in dentistry after serving as a member of a dental team on a ten-day mission trip to Honduras. I love being a member of the Arnold Smiles team and have enjoyed getting to know all of the patients.
A little about my life outside of dentistry I was born and raised in St. Louis. My husband, Brian, and I have a little boy, Jacob, who was born in June 2019. We love spending time outdoors. My husband and I enjoy hiking and running road races, from 5Ks to marathons. I have also been an assistant coach for Cor Jesu Academy's cross country team; it has been very rewarding to share my passion for running with the next generation. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. In addition, I am an avid reader, and Im always looking for good book suggestions!
I received my Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Missouri at Kansas City in 2003. Opening my private practice in 2006 fulfilled my life-long dream. I am a firm believer in continuing education. I am committed to learning new techniques - essential for providing my patients with the highest quality dentistry possible. I hold numerous association memberships including the American Dental Association, the Missouri Dental Association, and the Greater St. Louis Dental Society. My professional activities include working to provide dental care to under servedchildren and adults in the U.S. and in Honduras. Here in Jefferson County, I have worked with the Health Department 's 'Smiles to Go' program treatingunder-servedschool age children in our community. In 2007, I spent 10 days in Honduras on a medical mission trip providing dental care to patients of all ages who have no access to a dentist.
On a personal note, I am married to Marco Mariscal who works in the Kirkwood School District as a German teacher. We have two wonderful children, Noah and Lucia. Most of my time outside of the office is spent taking the kids to activities and just being a mom. We also have dog , Eevee (my son named her after the Pokemon character) and a cat, Lily.
Dr. Kirthi Tata grew up locally in Creve Coeur and attended Parkway North High school where she played field hockey and the violin in orchestra. After high school, Dr. Tata moved to Kansas City for both her undergraduate and dental schooling. Dr. Tata received her Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and Psychology as well as her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. During dental school, Dr. Tata was very active in the American Student Dental Association, Xi Psi Phi Dental Fraternity, and held the position of her classs social chair all four years. After graduating from dental school, Dr. Tata furthered her education in Oklahoma City where she completed a General Practice Residency at the Veterans Affairs Health Care Center. Dr. Tata enjoys surgical procedures, implants, and injectables such as Botox. Outside of the office, Dr. Tata enjoys being outdoors, traveling, working out, watching sports, and spending time with her puppy.

Everyone in the office Was very friendly and accommodating! They answered all of my questions and concerns! I have high anxiety going to the dentist and they were so kind and made me feel at ease!

Great experience. No wait time. Office very clean, with clear evidence of cleaning protocols in place. Hygienist and dentist were extremely knowledgeable and took time to answer all questions.

Love going to Dr. Mariscal- since I am not a huge fan of going to the dentist - she is awesome and eases any anxiety I have.

I had my teeth cleaned today, which I always dread and try to find an excuse not to go. But at Arnold smiles they make me very comfortable and after I leave I always wonder why I was so scared to go! Recommend to everyone to at least give them a try. I did and I'm glad I did!

NEVER GO HERE . Went here almost a month ago had two appointments, was given a quote for both visits. Visit one was 1067.20 wich was paid. They drill and fill 4 teeth none of wich was the tooth that hurt, so almost 1100 still in pain and now two of the teeth they have drilled have not stopped hurting either. I tell the dentist she says "it's not actually a cavity but just a whole in the tooth". The quote for the second trip is up in the air because the unprofessional receptionist gave me 2 different prices on day one, first it was 779.20 then it was 874.40 the day off the second appointment I show up to be told that it would cost 1067.20 ironic same as day one, that's a disgusting jump and any place I've ever been that mis quotes you usually eats the price. They then offer to "knock" $100 off as if they can just jump things around as they please. I left now searching for a more professional place that appreciate the customer still in pain every day. this place stole from me and Left me in pain Don't let it happen to you all the good reviews are lies I'm guessing or they probably offer to"knock" money off for good reviews you've been warned people..

Awesome atmosphere, super nice employees. The greatest dentist experience that I ever had. Kathleen was so sweet and answered all my questions. The office personnel were all very friendly and helpful.

I had not been to the dentist in over 20 years because of a bad experience and lots of dental work as a kid. I had a broken tooth that needing repairing that I couldn't put off any longer. I called Thursday and they got me in the following Tuesday. I was in tears leaving for my appointment because I was so scared. Dr. Erin Mariscal was AMAZING!!! I am naturally hard to numb up, but I felt no drilling at all when she had to remove the prior filling. The numbing process itself was better than anything I had experienced before at a dentist. Barely felt it! I was crying happy tears when I left knowing that I had found a dentist that finally helped me conquer my fears. I have my next appointment made to get a full check up and ready to have some more work done that I have been putting off for years. Dr. Mariscal and her whole staff were so amazing!!

Arnold Smiles is a beautiful, state-of-the-art office with friendly office staff. I immediately felt welcome and comfortable. I hadn't been to the dentist in quite some time and the staff was very kind in helping me get back on track. I'm looking forward to continuing my on-going dental care there.

Great experience. Will most definitely return. No upsale on anything. TV's on wall and ceiling to help distract your mind. Office staff and Doctor were all nice and friendly. Would highly recommend.
