Dr. Leon was born and raised in St. Louis. He graduated from Mehlville Senior High School in 1985 and then attended the University of Missouri at Kansas City. In 1988 he graduated from UMKC with a B.S. degree in Biology and a B.A. degree in Philosophy. He then attended the UMKC School of Dentistry from which he graduated with Honors in May 1992. He received an award from the ADAs Joint Commission of National Dental Examinations for being in the top 10% of all students taking the National Dental Board Examination. While in dental school, Dr. Leon became a member of the Xi Psi Phi professional fraternity as well as receiving invitations to join the Honor Societies of Phi Kappa Phi and Omicron Kappa Upsilon. He received the Undergraduate Achievement Award from the American College of Prosthodontists.
After graduation, Dr. Leon was asked to remain at the UMKC School of Dentistry as a Fellow in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery serving as a clinical instructor. Originally designed as an interim position to assist predoctoral students during the summer semester, the sudden departure of an OMS resident allowed Dr. Leon to assume the residents duties and complete the remainder of 1992 in a mini-residency capacity in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. A request was made of Dr. Leon to stay on and complete the training necessary to become a specialist, but his desire to enter private practice as a general dentist had become his primary focus.
Dr. Leon entered into private practice in Arnold, Missouri, on January 4, 1993, as an associate at a local dental office. On December 6, 2000, he opened the doors of Arnold Dental Arts, LLC. Dr. Leon has spent most of his professional career seeking to improve his skills and expand his knowledge through various continuing education programs. Though Dr. Leon attends seminars covering all aspects of general dentistry, much of his continuing education training has been in the arena of craniofacial pain, orthodontics, and sleep medicine.
Arnold Dental Arts first opened its doors on December 6, 2000. Dr. Leon has been serving the Arnold community for over 25 years. Arnold Dental Arts does all phases of general dentistry for all phases of life. At Arnold Dental Arts you'll experience gentle dentistry in a professional, caring environment. Our knowledgeable and friendly staff delivers personalized attention that has our patients referring family and friends!

They are so friendly and get your dental plan done and they remember your names and faces. The staff here is truly caring and does great work. I absolutely love this dentist office I drive an hour just to come here. Thx you guys for being so helpful I'm terrified of shots and they have truly made me forget my super bad experiences at the dentist.

Very good dentist. Makes me feel comfortable with my dentist anxiety from previous bad experiences elsewhere. He's very open about what to expect with every visit. I had to update and mark this dentist down to 4 stars. Though he is extremely knowledgeable and excellent at fillings, he tried to sell me on a chiropractor for my sensitive teeth. I despise chiropractors, and the recommendation really hit on my trust of this dentist.

Convenient location, I wanted a reline on my dentures and they did everything but that. I wound up going elsewhere and had to have those teeth pulled. Would not recommend.

I have to say that the people there are very nice. They were kind. However, something weird happened when the Dr came out to call my 10 year old to the back. He wouldn't allow me to go with her. I asked him why? He said that they just don't have room for me, which is not true (since he allows others - see below). Very politely, I explained that as the parent/guardian of a minor I have the right to be with her. He explained that he understood that but in his practice he never allows parents in the back unless a patient has mental disabilities (so wait...there is room?). There are no laws governing such decisions. It's just a doctor with a preference for no parents with their children. HIPAA actually gives parents rights over their minors to protect them and their privacy. This is all very strange to me and therefore I cannot recommend him. We asked for a refund and have left the practice.

Dr. Leon and ALL of his team are amazing! My daughter has had TMJ with chronic pain for 5 years. Dr. Leon took the time to research all of her past records and has come up with a plan of care which is helping her so much! Dr. Leon and team are very knowledgeable and caring.
