Dr. Hooks has been a lifelong resident of Armstrong County, graduating in 2001 from Kittanning High School. She then received her Bachelors Degree from Slippery Rock University in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. Dr. Hooks attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine where she received her Doctorate of Dental Medicine, graduating summa cum laude. She has been practicing in the area since graduating in 2009, and purchased her current practice from her childhood dentist, Dr. William Martin, in 2011. She is blessed to have the opportunity to provide her community with honest, affordable, quality dentistry.

Following her academic education, she has pursued her interests in advanced Invisalign training and botox/dermal fillers. She is a member of the American Academy of Clear Aligners, and travels to give presentations to help other doctors with their Invisalign training. She is currently a Diamond Invisalign Provider, an honor given to the top 1% of providers worldwide.

She is married to her junior high sweetheart, Chris, who is a principal in the Armstrong School District. In her free time, Dr. Hooks is cheering on her two boys at their sporting events. Whenever she gets a free weekend, she likes to travel with her family to Florida. She is always up for a trip to Disney or the beach!

Rose graduated from West Liberty State College with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene in 1979. She has been working in this practice for over 40 years. Roses favorite part of her job is interacting with patients and educating them about good dental care. Rose especially likes how well everyone at the office gets along and works together as a team. In her spare time, Rose enjoys spending time with her family and her three new grandsons. She also enjoys boating and traveling.

Emily graduated from Westmoreland County Community College dental hygiene program in 2015. She soon began her journey with Dr. Hooks, her childhood family dentist, by 2017. You will be quick to pick up on the extremely welcoming yet calm and laid-back tone she has set when in her chair. She takes great pride in providing a positive experience each visit. While being cautious of the needs of each patient, she takes the time to be very thorough while maintaining a gentle touch. Her favorite part of being a hygienist is the patient interaction/education. She is eager to share her dental knowledge and happy to help you understand treatment recommendations and diagnoses.

Rikki graduated from the Fortis Institute in Erie with an associates degree in Dental Hygiene. Rikkis favorite part of her job is creating a positive experience for her patients. She enjoys interacting with patients and educating proper dental care. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, napping, and camping.

Ryan graduated from Armstrong High School in 2019 and is currently studying Kinesiology at The Pennsylvania State University on the Pre-Dental track. Ryan enjoys interacting with patients and getting to learn new things about dentistry. In his free time he enjoys trying new foods, reading, and traveling with his family.

Heather received her training from Tri-State Business Institute where she earned a certificate in dental assisting and an associates degree in dental hygiene. Heather has been a hygienist for over 11 years with Dr. Hooks. Heather enjoys getting to know the patients and educating them on healthy oral hygiene habits. In her spare time she loves to cook and camp. Her favorite time is spent with her two kids and husband.

Kayla received her dental assistant training in our office. She enjoys getting to know patients and working in a fun, friendly office. In her free time, Kayla enjoys spending time with her family and online shopping.

Stephaney is a graduate of Lenape Technical School. She trained to be a dental assistant with our office and fell in love with the field, and is currently aspiring to go to dental hygiene school. Stephaneys favorite part of her job is getting to work with an amazing team, interacting with patients, and learning new things. Outside of work, she keeps busy attending college. In her free time she enjoys watching Netflix, spending time with close friends, and baking.

Abby graduated from Butler County Community College with an associates degree in Applied Science. She recently joined the Armstrong Dental Care team. Her favorite part about the job is getting to know and interact with patients and getting to work with a great team. Outside of the office, Abby works for a police department out of Butler County and also enjoys spending time outdoors hunting and fishing.

Laken graduated from dental assisting school in 2006, and has worked front desk for this office since 2019. She enjoys interacting with patients and doing her best to make everyone feel welcome in the office. She is married and has three kids. In her spare time she enjoys baking, cooking, walking, and cheering on her kids sports teams.

Melissa has worked with Dr. Hooks for over 4 years. Her main responsibilities are patient and insurance billing and Invisalign financial contracts. Her favorite part of her job is helping patients understand their insurance and enabling them to get their dental needs met. In her spare time, Melissa loves doing activities and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
