Dr. Balkrishna Gentyala earned his Doctorate at Boston University School of Dental Medicine. He has attended many continuing education courses to perfect his ability to perform cosmetic dentistry, preventive care, placing and restoring Implants, and Endodontics. Additionally, he has received training to become a certified Invisalign provider and will be a fellow of the International Congress of Implantologists. Prior to dental school, he attended University of Massachusetts - Amherst. Where he graduated with a BS in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology with Departmental Honors and a minor in Psychology.
Dr. Gentyala is originally from India and moved to the Boston Area when he was a child. Other than English, Dr. Gentyala is fluent in Hindi and Telugu. When not practicing Dentistry. Dr. Gentyala enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching the Red Sox or the Patriots play, and trying out new restaurants with his wife. He considers himself one of the biggest Patriots and Red Sox fan in the region and follows them religiously. He loves to read anything in the sci-fi and fantasy genres, his all-time favorite books are A Song of Ice and Fire series aka Game of Thrones and is eagerly awaiting the next book in the series, Lord of the Rings and the Harry Potter Series.
Dr. G is looking forward to providing excellent dental care to patients of all ages. He is well liked by his patients for his caring and gentleness, skills and dedication and his commitment to excellence. Dr. Gentyala builds into our practice not only the very latest in dental training, but also a true sense of patient care and the compassion that allows him to provide patients & the community with the best care possible.

I received an X-ray exam and deep teeth cleaning here. Tracy the dentist was very patient and shared a lot of tips about dental care. The front desk lady was also very helpful. Definitely recommend to anyone living in this area.

Arlington Smiles has been where I've gone for dentistry for years. Dr G now is head and he is very good. I've had crowns, fillings, and, of course routine cleanings and x-rays. Office staff are terrific. So is the hygienist that I see. I highly recommend this office.

Great doc and great staff. I took my dad for an emergency exam due to pain in his teeth. Dr. Gentalya is a very knowledgeable and patient doctor- he answered all our questions.

Everyone at Arlington smiles was so kind! My dental hygienist paid attention to my anxiety and checked in with me throughout my cleaning. The dentist and hygienist explained everything in ways I can understand. I'd recommend to anyone looking for a new dentist.

They are extremely thorough, very professional, they go above and beyond to make you feel welcome, and the hygienist was thoughtful, kind, and extremely efficient. And it did not hurt! Dr. G, examined, and made recommendations just to keep an eye on things... I highly recommend going there

Everyone is always great at Arlington Smiles. Dr. G. went out of his way to help me with a problem during the covid shutdown and was very helpful. I had an old filling replaced and Dr. G was Great! He made sure I was good and Numb and then the whole way through the process he would check in with me to make sure I was okay. Plus, they play Great music ! Front desk is always so nice . Doctor G is Great!
