An early childhood illness lead me into the medical field. Medical practice has the potential to restore health. It has with me. And, it can provide a normal lifestyle. My concern has been not only with the end result, but also with the process. Im very conscious of the process of surgery and healing; I have been on the forefront of practicing techniques that minimize pain and discomfort during that process.
The specialized field of periodontology has seen many advances over the past decades. These advances have extended the range of treatments and improved outcomes. it again has been my pleasure to have contributed to the advancement of the field, in areas of microsurgery, osseous surgery, and conscious sedation.
Five experienced, patient-friendly staff members in Dr. Tibbetts Arlington Periodontics office are ready to welcome and assist you with your specific treatment concerns. We are a primary care office, who will diagnose your overall dental health problems, and offer explanations and treatment of your dental needs. Our staff consists of the Office Manager, Melissa, the Periodontal Assistant, Joanne, Accounts Payable/Payroll Manager, Mary Jane Tibbetts, and Hygienists, Sally and Jill. The staff has a collective total of 122 years of service with Dr. Tibbetts.
Melissa began her career in dentistry in a small, one person office in Austin, Texas and soon knew that dentistry was the perfect fit for her. She brings over 30 years of experience in all aspects of dentistry. She has worn many hats in dentistry from dental assistant, practice manager and consultant. Melissa 's patience and attention to detail make her a welcome addition to our practice. 'I enjoy being among experts in my field and love getting to know our patients to ensure they have the highest quality of care on all levels.'
Joanne has been a Certified Registered Dental Assistant for 20 years, since completing a one year dental assisting school, followed by an internship in a dental office. During that time, Joanne gained a great deal of experience with all types of dental practices and dentists. She loves meeting new people, particularly in the dental office, and helping them to feel better about themselves through the art and practice of dentistry. She has been a valuable member of our office team for the past three years. Joanne is the mother of two teenage sons. Her greatest pleasure outside of the office is spending time with her sons, family and friends. Born in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, she moved to Arlington as a young child, and has made Arlington her home ever since.
Sally, an Arlington resident since the sixth grade, has worked with Dr. Tibbetts since 1975. A relatively new employee in the office for the past forty-three years, Sally was initially Dr. Tibbetts' periodontal assistant before returning to school to become a dental hygienist. She worked part-time for Dr. Tibbetts while attending hygiene school, graduating from Tarrant County College in 1979, as an RHD and returned to work full time. Sally and her wonderful husband, Jody, who works for Rocket Software, have been married for thirty-six years. They have three grown children, Jared, Adam and Sarah who are all married. They love being empty nesters, and are the proud grandparents of Hannah, (3) and Brother Caleb (2).
Jill graduated from Tarrant County College in 1984, as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH). She, too, is a relatively new employee, who has worked for Dr. Tibbetts for thirty-four years. and says that she feels as though the office staff and Dr. Tibbetts are her second family.
Jill's husband, Jim, is a wonderful man. They have been married for thirty-one years. Jim is a mechanical engineer with Lockheed Martin. They are blessed with four wonderful adult children, Josh, Jace, Jessica and Jenna. Jim and Jill now have 1 grandson, Asher and are anxiously awaiting the arrival of 2 more this year.
Mary Jane Tibbetts has been a part-time accounts payable/payroll manager for forty-four years. as she is a detailed person. Mary Jane has been both a former elementary school teacher and an employee of Exxon Production Research Company. When she and Dr. Tibbetts met, he was a freshman dental student and she worked for Exxon. Mary Jane and Dr. Tibbetts celebrated their fifty-second wedding anniversary in November, 2015. She has an elementary education degree from Texas A & I University, with three years of teaching experience, prior to completing business and secretarial skills courses at Texas South Most University.
The mother of two successful sons, Todd, and Seth, and five grandchildren, Brendan, Jake. Austin, Caroline and Clara. Mary Jane's leisure time is most enjoyed watching her sons' accomplishments, adoring her grandkids, reading and traveling.

Today I called and spoke with Sharon regarding my refund. Literally calmly and everything. She literally began to yell and scream at me once again. Stating "it's always something." Then advised I'll get my refund when I get it PERIOD. DO NOT CALL BACK. Then I called back and she forwarded my call to voicemail. I then advised the call was recorded and that I have no choice but to believe that she treats me the way she does due to my race because I have never been rude to her, yet anytime I have any questions she very disrespectful. I'm soooo upset because I've never experienced anyone this bluntly disrespectful and unprofessional. I would not recommend this dentist office mainly due to Sharon. However, I did call from a random number looking to record her mistreatment and she advised I know you're trying to record me. Then asked is there anything else and hung up. But at least she was nice. Dr Tibbetts you need a recorded line.

This review is based on the behavior of the personnel. I walk my dog though this area occasionally, and I always pick up after my dog, no exceptions, as I know how frustrating it can get when people don't. However, I do not expect to be followed, called out, and for someone to even stop their car in the middle of the road, and slowly follow me, to watch me when i'm across the street, before parking in the employee area of their parking lot. It is very uncomfortable and frankly, creepy. If this establishment is worried about people not picking up after their dogs, there are many steps they can take, but stalking and disturbing people in the neighborhood, who actually follow the rules and keep to themselves, is not it. Get a camera, put up a sign, put a up fence, give out fines, I don't care, but don't follow me around when I'm minding my own business. Thank you.

Dr Tibbetts did an extensive periodontal examination on my gums,and told me what he needs to do to treat my gums and after treatment procedures to get a complete cure .Dr Tibbetts and staffs were so professional I spent just 3 mins to be attended to. I am looking forward in going back in 2wks time to get my peridiontal treatment. I highly recommend Arlington Periodontics to everyone in Texas and the United States in General.
