Dr. John Lindgren graduated with distinction from Duke University in 2001. He received his D.M.D. degree from Harvard School of Dental Medicine. While at Harvard, he was elected class representative and was awarded the J. Morita Award for research.
Following dental school, Dr. Lindgren worked as a family dentist for several years treating patients with a wide variety of dental needs. Dr. Lindgren then spent three years at Montefiore Medical Center in NY where he completed his specialty training in orthodontics. At Montefiore, he gained experience in the most advanced and up-to-date techniques in orthodontics.
Dr. Lindgren is board-certified by the American Board of Orthodontics and is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists. Recently, he received the 10 Under 10 Award by the Massachusetts Dental Society for his service to his profession and community. Dr. Lindgren is committed to providing the highest quality of care to each individual patient.

Orthodontic appliances are made of metal, ceramic, or plastic. They may be removable or they may be brackets bonded to the teeth. By placing a constant, gentle force in a carefully controlled direction, braces slowly move teeth to the proper position.
Gone are the days when a metal band with a bracket was placed around each tooth. You can now choose clear or metal brackets and, in some cases, the color of your appliance. Wires are far less noticeable, and the latest materials are designed to move teeth faster with more comfort. Today, any age is a great age to wear braces!
Treatment time varies and can last between one and three years, depending on several factors including age, treatment method, and how minor or severe your case is. A big factor in a successful treatment is you! The more involved and diligent you are, the more efficient your treatment will be. For children, receiving interceptive or early treatment can also help provide a quicker treatment time.

I cannot say enough great things about Dr. John Lindgren and everyone who works at Arlington Orthodontics. We came here for a second opinion after we were told by another practice that my son would need a palette expander for his underbite. I have a very nervous kiddo with a horrible gag reflex, so we knew he would not tolerate the expander. Dr. Lindgren suggested a more conservative approach, which worked great, and six months later, the underbite had resolved. Everyone at this practice has been a pleasure to work with. They all know how to put a nervous kiddo at ease, which made this a great experience!

I cannot say enough great things about Dr Lindgren and the entire staff at Arlington Orthodontics! I shopped around with different orthodontists and from the very first visit, I knew this was the office to go with. The front desk is amazing with scheduling and payments and the staff is all incredibly kind and knowledgeable. I am so happy I went with Arlington Orthodontics for my 1.5 year treatment with Invisalign! I am so happy with my new smile and the team really made the process so seamless and enjoyable. I would recommend this office to everyone!

Hands down BEST orthodontics practice I have ever been to. The five star rating here is no joke. I would give them more if I could as they exceeded my expectations. I recently finished Invisalign and words cannot express enough at how pleased I am with the results, how friendly and helpful the staff were throughout the entire process, and with Dr. Lindgren. He truly cares about his patients and what's best for them. I never felt like I was being sold to or pushed to do something I was not comfortable with. He was fantastic. Highly highly recommend!!

Wonderful service for adult Invisalign. Everything was easily timed to support my needs around my work schedule. All visits were efficient and on time. We had a great experience with Arlington Orthodontics for our 12 year old who needed braces. The staff is wonderful; very knowledgeable and responsive. Everyone our daughter worked with was great--kind, patient, gentle. Dr. Lindgren is excellent -- he paid close attention to our daughter's process. I especially appreciated that Dr. Lindgren himself checked her teeth and chart with every visit (this doesn't seem to be true everywhere, where routine visits can be given entirely to other staff). The office is clean and well located; middle schoolers in town can walk there themselves which is helpful! With every wire break (which happen to everyone over the course of braces) they got us in very quickly for easy fixes. We will definitely use Arlington Orthodontics with our younger child when the time comes for braces.

I will say that my experience and treatment at Arlington Orthodontics with Dr. Lindgren was excellent. I had the braces treatment for quiet a few years and also had the MARA device temporarily for bite correction. Both treatments went by very smoothly. The staff at Arlington Orthodontics are professional and very friendly and worked with me to make a customized plan for my specific orthodontic needs.
