There are three components of an implant, the anchor (which is surgically imbedded into the bone), the post (to which the tooth attaches) and the actual artificial tooth. Several steps are usually required in placing implants. Depending on the type of implant, these steps may vary. A thorough evaluation must be made which includes a clinical examination and a careful review of your dental and medical history.
During the dental examination, we will check the condition of your mouth, the supporting bone in your jaws and the way your upper & lower teeth fit together. CT-scans will be taken and a determination will be made as to whether you are a good candidate for implants. In either case, thoughtful recommendations regarding optional treatments will be offered and discussed.
While Implant-supported dentures usually are made for the lower jaw (because regular dentures tend to be less stable there), you can receive an implant-supported denture in either the upper jaw, lower jaw, or both. Implant-supported dentures are removed daily to clean, and as with regular dentures, you should not sleep with the implant-supported dentures at night.
While some people prefer to have permanent crowns and bridgework in their mouths that can't be removed, others will be more comfortable with an implant-supported denture that snaps firmly onto and off of the supporting implants. Kaitlin Stiers is a fantastic dental hygienist. We are lucky to have her in the Hudson Valley as she is an expert and a Professor of Dentistry at NYU. The staff are very efficient and friendly. I am long time patient and I am a satisfied customer.

I found this dental office on google when I was referred from my orthodontist that I needed to see a periodontist. Upon arriving I was really please how the office looked outside and inside. As I was filling out paperwork, Debbie was very welcoming and friendly. Aleena, my hygienist, was also very friendly and knowledgeable. She explained everything that was going on with my teeth, very gentle, and very thorough with cleaning my teeth even with my braces. She made suggestions about ways to keep my teeth clean and healthy which made me feel very confident in purchasing these items she suggested. Dr. Luke was also very great and thorough. i am definitely coming here for now on and making them my permanent dentist

I've been going to Arlington Dental for many years and they are always friendly and professional. Debbie greets and preps me and makes sure I am always comfortable. Aleena is my hygienist and she has been amazing. Very knowledgeable and loves her work (it shows). Caring, thorough and genuine, both Debbie and Aleena make me feel more like a visiting friend than a patient in a dentist chair. I couldn't imagine going anywhere else.

I've never had a bad experience here and I've been a patient for almost 10 years. The staff is always pleasant and the office is always clean. My hygienist Aleena always explains anything that she finds while doing my cleanings and makes sure I understand the issue. Debbie is always welcoming and very helpful. I have had bad experiences with the bedside manner of some dentists but Dr. Luke is friendly and professional and makes procedures as painless as possible. I would, and have, highly recommend Arlington Dental to anyone.
