Dr. Brian Zulawinski is a graduate of Northern Illinois University where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. He then attended the Indiana University School of Dentistry and graduated with his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree in 2000. Since that time, he has taken hundreds of hours of continuing education, much of it focusing on the treatment of sleep apnea.

As a member of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, Dr. Zulawinski believes that oral appliance therapy is an effective treatment that can help even more people finally control their sleep apnea, and that its a wonderful alternative for those who have issues with their CPAP machine. As a strong advocate for medical ethics, he will only recommend the treatments that he believes are best for you, whether that includes oral appliance therapy or not. For him, the goal is always to help his patients get the rest they need.

Away from the office, Dr. Zulawinski loves spending time with his beautiful wife, Caryl, and their young son, Christian Brian. He enjoys a variety of outdoor activities including camping, fishing, and boating. On rare occasions, you can also find him playing a round of golf.

For years, many patients thought that the only treatment that could alleviate their sleep apnea was CPAP therapy. While this approach helps many people, it doesnt work for everyone, and it often leads to even more sleep problems.

A CPAP machine can be quite noisy, which doesnt only disturb the person using it, but also anyone they might share a bed/room with. The mask that a patient is required to wear covers most of their face, causing some to feel constricted and even claustrophobic. It is also quite bulky, preventing many people from comfortably moving while they are trying to fall asleep. Plus, the machine needs to be cleaned and maintained frequently, adding another task to peoples already busy schedules.

Oral appliance therapy uses a small, custom-made mouthguard to treat the symptoms of sleep apnea. It works by gently shifting the jaw forward and holding the tongue in place, thus preventing the soft tissues in the mouth and throat from obstructing the airway.

Dr. Brian Zulawinski customizes each and every oral appliance for his patients so that they are both comfortable and effective. They are made of strong, durable, and flexible materials, and a patient is able to drink and speak normally while wearing them. Its a simple and easy to use solution for sleep apnea, and its also one of the primary treatments recommended by the experts in this field, the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (AADSM). Dr. Zulawinski himself is a member of the AADSM, meaning that he has spent years learning how to use oral appliances to help patients finally get a full nights rest.

As a patient, I have established expectations of professionalism from the dentist and their staff. However, that professionalism has deteriorated to a level of rudeness that has brought me to look elsewhere for dental services. Several combative conversations with what I assume are customer service representatives, resulted in my Fam canceling appointments and thankfully finding more competent professionals elsewhere.

I love this office everyone is so friendly and professional! I got Invisalign here and I'm so happy with my results and for the deal they offered it was so worth it. Everyone there makes you feel so comfortable and don't make you dread going to the dentist. I'm honestly very surprised by other peoples reviews, not sure why you'd blame them for you not knowing your own insurance policy unless you're 15 years old.

I needed work done, but did not have insurance at the time. I spent a little over $10,000 cash. Came back a few months later for a cleaning. Came back a few weeks later for an upper partial. For those visits I had gotten insurance, but they failed to tell me that they were not in the network. They ended up charging me over $200.00 dollars for a cleaning and $450.00 for the partial THAT I NEVER RECEIVED. Would not recommend.

Being treated at Arlington Dental Associates has been my worst dental experience ever. At my last visit I thought things were better but I was wrong. Because of COVID closure and illness, it has been a long journey. I have been paying a heavy price for one of the worst decisions of my life. The pain, the trauma, and the mouth damage these sharp implant crowns have caused has left me in a constant state of regret. My bridge has been chipped due to the sharp edge of a Heritage Lab crown placed by Dr. Zulawinski. My bite is off, eating and chewing have become a complex process as I am limited to mostly soft foods. It's been very depressing. I don't go out to eat any longer. I have to put wax on two of the crowns to prevent mouth and tongue damage. I kept telling Dr. Zulawinski something is wrong. He told me I need to get used to them. After months of waiting, nothing has changed. The implants themselves are fine, but the crowns made by Heritage Laboratories are ill fitting, sharp, bulky and painful. Dr. Zulawinski admitted that after COVID, the quality of Heritage's work was not as good as before. He said he was going to find a new lab. An acquaintance of mine had the same problem with an ill-fitting temporary made by Heritage. Do yourself a favor, if you use Arlington Dental Associates, make sure the impressions are not sent to Heritage Labs. I have had crowns made by other labs and they are all smooth and comfortable. I am working with a new oral surgeon and dentist to fix this mess and weigh my options. Following my February 2022 visit, I contacted Arlington Dental on several occasions in March and April 2022. Of the over $12,000 charge for the implants, 90% has been paid out of pocket. Over 80% of it was paid in the first year and a half. Without fail, I send a payment EVERY month with a few hundred dollars remaining. I'm still confused as to the charge for an exam after my cleaning (which insurance didn't cover) while I was already being seen and treated. It seemed unnecessary as I was not told this charge was being thrown in with the cleaning.

Used to be good about 2 years ago when I got my braces put in. I received an EOB for benefits from them and was told I was covered and they put the incorrect filling in my mouth leaving me with a 900 dollar bill. It would have been nice is they told me when they went to work on my mouth or prior what color filling they were going to use. The staff is disorganized. I was told my retainer for locked jaw would be medical and that they would ask for a EOB, and they never followed up. Then they tried to tell me it would be cosmetic and that it can't be ran through medical. Apparently your jaw cracking and causing nerve pain should be utterly dismissed. Why was I also told they do not do the retainers for locked jaw 6 months prior at my other appointment and before that too! I had been asking for over a year now! I got my teeth cleaned once and one of the male staff tried to tell me I had a cavity, and when I went to my next appointment 6 months later they removed it from the chart stating I did not have a cavity on that tooth. I dismissed it thinking everyone makes mistakes, but not it's all adding up into one big thing! This is just wrong! Do not go here! They do not pay attention to detail, and there is a lack of understanding in the staff of what they actually offer. I think they are past due for training.

I'm pretty sure I wrote this review last year but seems they possibly deleted it. And since I've finally found a better dentist, I figured it was worth making sure people knew the truth about this one so they can avoid the same. We were with Arlington dental associates for several years. Had great service in the beginning, actual dentist was always friendly and helpful. Was assigned a regular hygienists we got scheduled with each time. During the pandemic we had to reschedule our appointments naturally. By the time we could come in for our regular cleaning, there had clearly been a bunch of different staff there and the level of care was just gone. The guy cleaning my teeth claimed to be a dentist but he could not have been for how unprofessional he was. Kept hitting my teeth with the instruments. Kept hurting me and I had to make him stop to ask him to please be more careful as he was being really careless. And then on top of all of this, he kept coughing through his mask while hovering over my face. I've never wanted to run from a procedure so badly. My husband went in after I had, but was finished when I came out. Turns out they didn't even do a full cleaning for him and skipped a bunch of steps they're supposed to do. When they asked for feedback after the appointment, I was honest and said that I would not be paying for such horrible treatment, especially when it wasn't a full cleaning for either of us. The were apologetic and waived the bill but just can't believe how quickly this place changed. Avoid at all costs!

My original dentist was dr.brian zulawinski,he's very good, won't charge you much, esp if you pay out of pocket, but since his schedule is so full,I can't get an appt with him & instead fell on an associate dentist hands, she's nice & will take time to answer your questions but per result of their dental xray,I have an infection on my 7th tooth,I asked if she'll give me anything for the infection, she said no because it's just a localized infection, but no,it's not the case ,my face started swelling & my eyes got puffy,& I wasn't feeling really well,my tooth aches & painful ,that's why I went to see the dentist, but she fail on her assessment to give me an antibiotic, even if infection is localized, it's still infection & it could result into really something serious, all she /we discussed is root canal or extraction or even implants which of course will give them way lots & lots of money . Consultation is just a fraction of the cost of root canal/implants or dentures, but it should cover her prescribing me an antibiotic,so my advise,be very cautious in finding & sticking to the dentist you trusted..

I came to Arlington Dental Associates for Invisalign, and I am BEYOND thrilled to have chosen this location. There were soo many options when it came to Invisalign, and I have to admit that this location was by far the friendliest, most accommodating, and welcoming!! Everyone at the location is super sweet, and most of all, they know their stuff! In my consultation, I asked if I can expedite the Invisalign, and they offered a few different programs and scheduled multiple checkup visits to make sure that I was going to get the perfect smile in the healthiest way. They were able to speed up my Invisalign program, AND they cared about my bite to make sure that the treatment doesn't mess up over the years. I would 1000000% recommend!

My 6 months dental cleaning was, as usual, a very pleasant experience. The office is certainly mindful of Covid 19 restrictions. Wearing a mask, washing my hands before hygienist began the cleaning process.....all very professional with extremely friendly employees.
