Dr. Zachariah is among the most accomplished and regarded General Dentist in Northern Virginia. She is graduated from Howard University, Washington DC and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. After graduation, she was working as an associate in Northern Virginia. Additionally Dr.Zachariah holds BDS degree from India. Dr. Zachariah provides quality dentistry for her patient, caring for adults and children in her practice, Dr. Zachariah is a member of the American Dental Association in Northern Virginia When Dr. Zachariah is away from the office she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
After graduating from dental school, Dr. Alhrashi completed three years of postgraduate studies, including and advanced General Dentistry residency at the Eastman Institute for Oral Health in Rochester, New York, and a Dental Implant Fellowship at Tufts School of Dental Medicine in Boston.
During his postgraduate work, Dr. Alhrashi received the prestigious Handelman Award of Excellence from the Eastman Institute. This is a rare achievement, as it is awarded only when an exceptional candidate has distinguished him or herself with excellent clinical skills, leadership, initiative, ethics, and communication skills. It is not an annual award; only two other residents have received this award in the 15 years prior to Dr. Alhrashis graduation.
Dr. Alhrashi is Board Certified, and he is 1 of 496 Dentists in the United States and around the world who have been credentialed with Diplomate status in the field of Implant Dentistry through the American Board of Oral Implantology (ABOI). He was also honored with the prestigious fellow status through the American Academy of Implant Dentistry(AAID).
With twenty years of experience, Dr. El Moctar knows that each patient is unique, and strives to offer the most innovative dental solutions to meet the needs of all his patients. Dr. El Moctar had advanced trainings in Orthodontics, Endodontics, and Oral Surgery. He believes strongly in the value of continuing education. He was awarded the Operative Dentistry Outstanding Achievement Award from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
In addition to providing dental care, Dr. El Moctar is a regular volunteer in Northern Virginia community programs and has participated in different volunteering missions in Africa and Asia. In his spare time, Dr. El Moctar enjoys traveling with his wife and kids. His hobbies include traveling, reading, and writing.

Initial visit was great. 10 months later they call me to schedule a follow up visit and try to charge me 250 dollars out of pocket for a "deep cleaning" not covered by insurance. Upon further questioning as to the cause of this charge, the receptionist said she would call me back and I have never heard back from them. Kind of a sham.

I have always been afraid of dentists. My idea of dental care changed with this visit. Dr. Zachariah and her Assistant Ms. Wafa were the epitome of empathy and understanding. They took the necessary x-rays, examined them thoroughly and gave me a detailed explanation of my current dental condition. I was also given a plan of action for treatment which works out very well with my insurance and copay. I was not pressurized to make any decisions either. My treatment included filling and deep cleaning all of which went well without any pain or discomfort. I am posting my comment after a day of procedure and I can't thank this team of two enough! I will visit again for the remaining treatment and strongly recommend anyone who is hesitant to visit a dentist to give this place a try.

An absolutely wonderful experience, and my new favorite dentist. The reception staff were very organized, knowledgeable, helpful, and efficient. I scheduled the appointment through Zocdoc to make a same-day, new patient visit and received a call directly from the office promptly to confirm. Dr. Zachariah and her assistant were very friendly and courteous, and answered all my questions nicely. My visit took longer than expected due to my questions but the doctor and her assistant gave me all the time I needed despite my end-of-office-hours visit. The cleaning was very satisfactory and when I asked for prices of additional procedures the information was made available speedily and transparently. I did not feel pressured to accept additional work and was given thorough explanations of everything that was going on. They even provided me the pictures from the x-rays and during cleaning to give me a real-time view of the work. The office itself was extraordinarily clean as well as the bathrooms in the office building. All in all, 10 out of 5 stars and I would recommend this dental practice. Thank you!

I went in for a consultation and was significantly behind on time. I was very kindly accommodated by Dr. Zachariah. As the consultation went on, she was empathetic and noticed my apprehension with the processes due to the cost of procedures. I was promptly reassured, and we briefly went over creating a short to long term treatment plan that aligned with my dental needs, immediacy of the varying treatments, and finances. This came highly recommended by a family friend. I needed a new dentist after moving and decided to try ACFD. Dr. Zachariah (at Arlington Cosmetic & Family Dentistry) and her staff were very professional, detailed, and welcoming. Dr. Zachariah was very cautious making sure I was comfortable during every procedure big or small. I also like they communicate through many channels synchronized phone, text and email. I haven't been to the dentist for a few years and it was refreshing to be at dentist office that's made my experience better than I'd remembered :-)

Stay away from Arlington Cosmetic and Family Dentistry . They have high turnover of so called dentists. I will never use them , they have no idea how to run a business.

I went in for some teeth x-rays and a standard cleaning. The place is under new ownership, and the staff were all friendly, helpful, and professional. The dentist on staff gave some advice and recommendations without pushing anything or any procedure. I have my six-month set up, and I look forward to going back. Would definitely recommend. Had an amazing experience here having my wisdom teeth removed, despite being terrified. The docs are great, and not to mention Kiafa and Dania were phenomenal. Would highly recommend!
