Dr. Meza is a graduate of Vanderbilt University, where he received his B.A. in Psychology in 1997. In 2002, he received his D.M.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. After graduating from dental School, Dr. Meza went on to receive his specialty training from Temple University School of Dentistry, where he obtained his Certificate in Endodontics. During his residency program, Dr. Meza conducted research using the Biolase Er,Cr,YSGG laser to investigate its effectiveness in disinfecting root canals. The promising results of his research led to a publication in the Journal of the American Dental Association (JADA July 2007, Volume 138 Research).
Dr. Meza is originally from El Salvador. He is fluent in Spanish. He grew up in the Northern Virginia area attending Fairfax County public schools including Langley High School. After his graduate and professional studies, he returned to Northern Virginia where he has been practicing endodontics since 2004. Dr. Meza remains active in research and academics as Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Maryland, Department of Endodontics where he enjoys teaching dental students and residents.
In 2011, Dr. Meza received the New Dentist Award presented by the Virginia Dental Association in recognition of Dr. Mezas leadership qualities through service to dentistry during the first ten years of practice.
In addition, Dr. Meza has been awarded Top Endodontist by the Washingtonian Magazine in 2013 and by the Northern Virginia Magazine since 2009. Dr. Meza has also been recognized as one of the Americas Top Dentist since 2011 by the Consumer Research Council.
Dr. H. Vivian Lee graduated from University of Virginia, where she received her B.S. in Biology. She attained her DDS degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2001, and completed a one year Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) at the University of Florida School of Dentistry in Jacksonville. She went on to practice General Dentistry for two years in Northern Virginia before deciding to specialize in endodontics at NYU School of Dentistry, where she served as the Chief Resident. During dental school and residency, Dr. Lee demonstrated her commitment to outreach programs by volunteering at Operation Smile in Vietnam, and at various underserved hospital clinics in New York City. After receiving her endodontic certificate in 2006, Dr. Lee returned to Northern Virginia to begin practicing as an endodontist. Dr. Lee has quickly gained acceptance in the dental professional community by being voted Top Endodontist from Washingtonian magazine and as one of the Americas Top Dentist by Consumers Research Council of America.
Dr. Xiomara Rivera attended University of Puerto Rico, where she completed her Pre-Dental requirements and received her Doctorate in Dental Medicine in the year 2013. After graduating dental school, she decided to further her education and clinical skills by completing a one-year General Practice Residency (GPR) at Montefiore Medical Center in New York. The opportunity to practice dentistry in a hospital setting gave Dr. Rivera a well-rounded experience. Dr. Rivera then became a Chief Resident at Montefiore Medical Center and completed an Endodontic Fellowship. She later followed her passion for Endodontics and received her specialty training from Temple University School of Dentistry, where she obtained her Certificate in Endodontics.
Dr. Rivera is originally from Puerto Rico and is fluent in Spanish. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and friends. On her free time Dr. Rivera makes sure to give back to our community by volunteering at the Northern Virginia Dental Clinic.
