Dr. Kapur received his B.D.S. from Punjab University in Amritsar, India in 1969. After working in Zambia, Africa with the Flying Doctors of the United Nations, Dr. Kapur emigrated to the United States in 1973. He completed his pediatric residency at Boston University in 1975. He turned to teaching and taught at the dental programs at the University of Southern California and Baylor in Texas. After helping in the training of dozens of residents throughout the years, Dr. Kapur was interested in applying his knowledge to direct patient care. He attained a second dental degree from the University of Southern California in 1987. Armed with his advanced dental training and diverse experiences, Dr. Kapur opened up his first office in Chandler in 1989. He moved his office to a brand new complex across from Chandler Regional Hospital in 2002 and opened his second office in West Phoenix in 2006. Dr. Kapurs interests include reading, travel, cooking, and spending time with his family. He is also an avid fan of all things canine related!
Dr. Dave joined AZPD in summer of 2012. Not a stranger to moving he has lived in IL, OR, MN, MA, NC and PA prior to making AZ his home. Dr. Dave attained his dental education at Boston University School of Dental Medicine. He joined the Navy following dental school and served as a Naval officer and general dentist on Marine Corp Base Camp Lejeune NC. His desire to specialize in Pediatric dentistry brought him to Childrens Hospital of Pittsburgh where he realized his true passion for the specialty. Away from adventures of workspace, he enjoys painting, spending time with family, exercising and traveling.
Dr. Henry Martinez was born and raised here in Arizona. He grew up in the East Valley and attended Dobson High School. Dr. Martinez obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology at Arizona State University. He then went on to complete a Masters degree in Biomedical Sciences at the Rutgers Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences in Newark, N.J. (formerly the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey). He obtained his D.M.D. (Doctor of Dental Medicine) at the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health in Mesa.
Following dental school, Dr. Martinez followed his passion for providing dental care to children and people with special needs by completing his pediatric dental residency training at the Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center in New York City. There he received extensive training in all aspects of pediatric dentistry including sedation and hospital dentistry. He has received extensive training in treating people with special needs during dental school at the Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Healths Special Care Unit and as a pediatric dental resident at the Rose F. Kennedy Center at Jacobi Medical Center in New York. During his spare time Dr. Martinez enjoys spending time with his wife Irina, who is also a dentist, and family. He enjoys working out, watching movies, and golf.
Dr. David Ember is a graduate of the Ohio State University College of Dentistry and a former resident at Nationwide Childrens Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He has practiced in multiple locations including almost twelve years working for Aramco in Saudi Arabia. He currently fulfills his global wanderlust through his charitable endeavors overseas as a clinician and a director on the board of Childrens Dental Care International. This organization has set up dental clinics in Sri Lanka, Ecuador, and Brazil.

Didn't take any tarter or clean teath and barley did the filling which came right out and cavity isn't even gone or drilled out.

I liked the dentist we been going for years. I was shocked at the rudeness of the front office staff I called to try and schedule an appointment and a lecture of how we should have scheduled 6 months ago.

These are the worst. If you don't answer verbally one day before the appointment, it gets canceled. People work all day long, if you don't know. What other confirmations do you need? I'm sick of your COVID check. I pulled my kids out from school. I asked someone to take my kids to their appointment that was scheduled 6 months ago. Then, when they get there the appointment is canceled. There are hundreds of dental offices. I've been going to this place for 5 years, and I never had any issues.

I love AZPDO!! My kids have been coming here since they were 1yr olds, it's been 15yrs now. Staff and Drs. are always friendly. Amazing dentist and orthodontist here!!!

Dr. Malingkas is an amazing dentist who cares about her patients. My daughter loves her and looks foward towards her appointments. My daughter gushes about her favorite dentist to pretty much to anyone who listens. I highly recommend her shes friendly, gentle and kind and makes the overall dentist visit fun!

I have been taking my children here since they were toddlers - now 10 and 14. I will never take them to another dentist/orthodontist. Every person at this office is amazing. From their knowledge of dentistry to their thoughtfulness and friendliness. My girls have never been scared or nervous coming here. We used to live close to this office but have since moved to South Phoenix and I still bring them here despite having a pediatric dental office half a mile away from my home. They don't always see the same dentist but each of them is always great with my girls!!

Brought my daughter in for an ortho consultation, everyone is so nice in this office! My daughter was comfortable and well taken care of the whole time and is excited to come back.

Greeted by the front office, Dr. and dental staff all good. Then you get to the appt schedulers. RUDE!! NO eye contact. I know I am just grandma and can not tell me much, But my daughter can get straight info on my grandsons apt time. I have had a pediatric dentist for my kids and I have never been treated so bad. His pediatric Dr. has given me everything i need to know about my grandson health.

My kiddo has a heart condition, so whenever they need dental work done, we have to go to the children's hospital. This is the only dentist office I know of that works with the phoenix childrens hospital. Not going to lie, it was a lot of phone calls, several doctor visits, and pretty stressful getting everything ready, but Sophia M. was on top everything and was quick to let me know what needed to be done next. Our pediatrician's office filled out the medical history paper incorrectly, Sophia noticed right away and called them to get it corrected, then called us so we knew what was going on and could reach out to our pediatrician. She also coordinated with the cardiologist to get the needed records/EKG to make sure the hospital had my kids most up to date records. In the end, she made sure the PCH had everything they needed so when I showed up everything went so smoothly. I basically just had to validate they had my kids info right and then wait for them to be finished. They did a phenomenal job with the caps and fillings. You can tell the office put their hearts into their jobs.

One word to describe this office, Incredible! It begins when you call to make your first appointment. Sylvia is one of the most understanding and fun front end managers to talk to! She is beyond helpful and thoughtful. My son was having work done, and as a mom, I was nervous. Sylvia came to my aid and sat with me and made sure I was comfortable and calm. The dental assistants make sure that they know your child before taking them back to the room. They listen to your needs and work with you. My son has special needs and can be quite a handful, but they were very calm, patient and caring. They took care of him like he was their own. If you are looking for a dentist that treats you like family, you will not be sorry that you chose Arizona Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics. I know this was the best decision I could have made. Thank you for taking such amazing care of my family!

The young lady that's at the front desk for ortho and take payments is very rude and condescending. We have 3 boys that went to this office and have moved 2 out of here and cant wait till our youngest is done with his braces to be done dealing with here. Her customer service us costing this dentist and ortho potential and existing client.

Can somebody replace this two rude ladies that are up front. The one that is on the left an older lady is like a soldier and feel like you have to stand up straight and don't you smile or laugh about anything when you talking to her. The one on the right that been here for a while now, doesn't call back or answer questions politely. Looks like the are related the way they act. They need to go they been here too long and feel too comfortable. But doctors are great, especially doctor Dave and Dr. Kodale they are both from India. Chinese and Indians are best doctors for me from my experience.

They must be used to nonworking parents. After waiting a year...due to me working with covid patients and them not allowing me to come ..they cancelled my appointment because I was at work and didn't confirm... People work sorry I can't answer calls when I get them but I'm working... THIS place used to be good now it's trash...don't waste your time
