Dr. Kapur received his B.D.S. from Punjab University in Amritsar, India in 1969. After working in Zambia, Africa with the Flying Doctors of the United Nations, Dr. Kapur emigrated to the United States in 1973. He completed his pediatric residency at Boston University in 1975. He turned to teaching and taught at the dental programs at the University of Southern California and Baylor in Texas. After helping in the training of dozens of residents throughout the years, Dr. Kapur was interested in applying his knowledge to direct patient care. He attained a second dental degree from the University of Southern California in 1987. Armed with his advanced dental training and diverse experiences, Dr. Kapur opened up his first office in Chandler in 1989. He moved his office to a brand new complex across from Chandler Regional Hospital in 2002 and opened his second office in West Phoenix in 2006. Dr. Kapurs interests include reading, travel, cooking, and spending time with his family. He is also an avid fan of all things canine related!
Dr. Dave joined AZPD in summer of 2012. Not a stranger to moving he has lived in IL, OR, MN, MA, NC and PA prior to making AZ his home. Dr. Dave attained his dental education at Boston University School of Dental Medicine. He joined the Navy following dental school and served as a Naval officer and general dentist on Marine Corp Base Camp Lejeune NC. His desire to specialize in Pediatric dentistry brought him to Childrens Hospital of Pittsburgh where he realized his true passion for the specialty. Away from adventures of workspace, he enjoys painting, spending time with family, exercising and traveling.
Dr. Henry Martinez was born and raised here in Arizona. He grew up in the East Valley and attended Dobson High School. Dr. Martinez obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology at Arizona State University. He then went on to complete a Masters degree in Biomedical Sciences at the Rutgers Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences in Newark, N.J. (formerly the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey). He obtained his D.M.D. (Doctor of Dental Medicine) at the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health in Mesa.
Following dental school, Dr. Martinez followed his passion for providing dental care to children and people with special needs by completing his pediatric dental residency training at the Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center in New York City. There he received extensive training in all aspects of pediatric dentistry including sedation and hospital dentistry. He has received extensive training in treating people with special needs during dental school at the Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Healths Special Care Unit and as a pediatric dental resident at the Rose F. Kennedy Center at Jacobi Medical Center in New York. During his spare time Dr. Martinez enjoys spending time with his wife Irina, who is also a dentist, and family. He enjoys working out, watching movies, and golf.
Dr. David Ember is a graduate of the Ohio State University College of Dentistry and a former resident at Nationwide Childrens Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He has practiced in multiple locations including almost twelve years working for Aramco in Saudi Arabia. He currently fulfills his global wanderlust through his charitable endeavors overseas as a clinician and a director on the board of Childrens Dental Care International. This organization has set up dental clinics in Sri Lanka, Ecuador, and Brazil.
