Dr. Matt is a native of Arizona. After receiving his undergraduate degree at Brigham Young UniversityIdaho, Dr. Matt attended the University of Nevada Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine for his doctoral degree. He also completed his two-year postdoctoral residency in pediatric dentistry at the same school. Dr. Matt is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry (ABPD).He is also a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentists (AAPD), the American Dental Association (ADA), the Arizona Dental Association (AzDA), the Central Arizona Dental Society (CADS), and the Arizona Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AzAPD). He maintains his certification in both Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
He has a conservative approach towards dentistry and prefers to retain as much of the original tooth structure as possible. His top priorities are keeping his patients safe, helping them to have a good experience, and finding the best solutions for their dental needs.He currently lives in Gilbert with his wife and their four children. In addition to spending time with his family, he enjoys biking, Legos, Star Wars, singing, and learning how to do new things. He speaks English and Japanese.

We took our 1 year old to her first appointment and they were amazing, super clean and cute place, front desk lady was super nice and patient. We'll definitely go back for her future dental care!

THIS IS THE PEST PEDIATRIC DENTIST EVER. The nurses are absolutely amazing and sweet every time. The doctor is like no other he is so kind and understanding with the little ones it's incredible. Once you go here you will never take your kids to another dentist again.

Awesome office. Have been coming here for awhile. Front office is always friendly and is willing to help with scheduling and insurance issues. The assistants always make sure my son feels at ease from the very beginning. I love how they talk to him specifically and include him in the conversation. The doctor is just as fabulous, great chair-side manner with the kids, and communicates problem and sometimes multiple solutions with his recommended treatment. Keep up the great teamwork!!!

I can't say enough good things about Dr Welch and his staff. He has been my kids dentist for the last 17 years. They have all grown up with him. They are gentle and kind, very good with kids, anf puts my kids who have dental anxiety at ease. Dr Welch also listens to you as a parent and answers questions in a nondefensive and non judgemental way. As far as how conservative his approach is in dentistry I'd say it's middle, he's been doing this a very long time and is very knowledgeable and will definitely recommend most of the standard dental things like fluoride and sealants but will also not give you a hard time if you choose not to and will have a pleasant, friendly conversation with you if you have questions and bring them up.

Dr Welch and his staff did an amazing job. They made my daughter feel very comfortable the whole time and they took such great care of her from start to finish. We recommend Arizona Dental Pediatric Care to all our family and friends!

My son is autistic and very anxious at the dentist. Without even telling the hygienist this, she was incredibly patient and willing to take things at his pace. She also allowed him to spit into a cup while cleaning his teeth because he does not like using the suction. While accommodating this, she slowly acclimated him to lower suction and he allowed her to use it at the end of the appointment. It was the best visit we've had yet!

Dr. Welch and his team is amazing with children. My son just had cavities that had to be drilled and filled and they knew exactly how to keep him clam and settled through the whole process.

We recently relocated from Illinois with our 3 children. We are so happy we found Dr. Welch! His staff was so kind and accommodating getting all 3 kids scheduled together. Dr. Welch was so great with our kids! He really took the time to explain things and make our kiddos feel comfortable, which we so appreciate!!

They have taken excellent care of our two kiddos since they were very little. Cannot say enough good things about this practice, everyone from the front desk, to hygienists and dentists are exceptional.
