Originally from Tyler, TX, Dr. Sharma obtained his education at the New York University College of Dentistry. He is a Captain of the US Army and also holds fellowships with both the American Academy of Implant Prosthetics and the International Congress of Oral Implantology.
Dr. Sharma is passionate about helping people. Be it his patients, staff,or peers, he always goes the extra mile to help everyone around. He not only believes in catering to the dental needs of his patients, but also guides them on a personal, emotional,and mental level to improve their overall well-being.
Dr. Sharma established Arise Dental with the conviction that outstanding dental care should be comfortable and affordable to everyone. Dr. Sharma believes in the ultimate goal of helping others. He and his wife, Dr. Deepika Mahant, privately assist employees in dire financial need.

The staff is so sweet and the work was excellent! It was timely and they put up with me (who was a pretty difficult patient) with kindness and grace and made me feel super comfortable (and I've got extreme dental anxiety)

My first visit to Arise Dental of Carthage was THE best dental experience. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Dr. Oh was thorough, and made the effort to do some of my dental work right then. He definitely made me feel like a priority. The girls up front were incredibly professional and friendly, and the entire staff was extremely pleasant. Carthage is incredibly lucky to have such a wonderful facility.

Very helpful! I had a painful tooth and they got me in almost immediately. Then I had an emergency right before my cleaning began and they were very understanding and helped me get out of the office as fast as possible. They were very helpful and nice.

One receptionist never takes info down correctly, when I have to call in to make an appointment for my kids, I always feel like I'm being pranked. She rarely answers the phone correctly, once she answered it like it was her personal cell phone with just a "hello." She messed up my insurance info and blamed it on me. She was flirting with my teenage son, which would have been cute if she wasn't working and he only being 17.. she really makes a bad name for blondes. The lady who was doing xrays kept messing up and taking more than I've ever seen be done on one kid! Oh yea, as someone else mentioned in reviews, they bribe ppl to leave 5 stars for a free teeth whitening...kinda shady considering how bad they are. Dr. OH seems nice and informative. He's about the only thing right in this office.

I, like many, have some dental trauma from childhood. I, also like many, have a very hard time bringing myself to go to the dentist because it isn't fun for me. Dr. Oh and the staff at Arise make the experience much easier. I am so glad to have found a local, caring, and PATIENT LED dental practice so close to home. Thank you!
