We have been in our current facility since 2005. We have recently remodeled it and added new technology. Ardelean Family Dentistry has three doctors on staff: Dr. Florica Ardelean, DDS, her son, Dr. Dan Ardelean, DDS, and Dr. Sabrina Shaouni, DDS. Dr. Florica Ardelean has been practicing in the dental field for more than 25 years. She spent her first 15 years practicing in her native home of Romania. Dr. Dan followed in his mothers footsteps and became a dentist himself. Dr. Sabrina is the newest addition to our practice. We hope you come in and meet all of our doctors to get to know them and learn how they can serve you.
The staff at Ardelean Family Dentistry is second to none. We have a caring group of professional dental hygienists who take wonderful care of our patients. They are passionate about serving you and genuinely care about you as a person. We are truly blessed to have such a skilled, trained staff to help us serve the Clinton Township community.
Dr. Shaouni began working in dentistry in 1997 as a dental assistant. She attended St. Marys College, where she earned her bachelors degree in biology in 2002. She continued working and going to school while she attended Wayne State University, where she earned a masters degree in physiology in 2006. After dental assisting for nine years, Dr. Shaouni really learned to love the joy of having a patient smile after restoring their dentition and decided to go to dental school.
She completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at University of Detroit Mercy in 2010 and continued to the University of Michigan, where she completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry program in 2011. Dr. Shaouni has been practicing dentistry since 2010.
In Dr. Shaounis time as a dentist, she has proven herself as a doctor who is always seeking the newest and best ways to treat her patients. The following are some of her many accomplishments and accolades.
Dr. Shaouni is well-loved by her patients because she treats each person who sits in her chair with love, compassion, and respect. She greatly enjoys being able to serve her patients over a span of generations. It truly builds a family-type relationship in the office.
When she is not helping patients have an incredible experience at the dentist office, Dr. Shaouni enjoys running 5ks, playing soccer, and volunteering at church. She also makes time to give back to the community of Clinton Township, MI by being involved in fundraisers benefiting local charities and organizations.

Giving back to those who are less fortunate is a staple principle at Ardelean Family Dentistry. Dr. Florica and her son Dr. Dan are adamant in their belief that sharing your talents with others is what makes having those talents worthwhile. That is why for several weeks each year, our dental staff travels to underserved areas to help people with their dental problems. They travel to Honduras to work with a mobile dental clinic that provides free dental care to the residents. Dr. Dan takes this opportunity to help train some of the local dentists in new and different techniques to help them better serve their own patients.
At Ardelean Family Dentistry, you will find a staff that will partner with you in gaining the type of oral health that you deserve. We are not pushy, just persistent in trying to help you identify the habits you need to keep and the ones you need to stop. Enida and the entire staff are wonderful! I would give 10 out of 5 stars if I could. It was my first time going. The information gathering was easy, simple and polite. During the cleaning they were informative professional and tentative to any pain I had.

This dentists office is terrible! I took my son there for his first dentist appointment ever and they were supposed to do a cleaning. There is nothing about this family dentist office that caters to children, my son was so scared of the people that worked there. They got as far as counting his teeth with an instrument before he wouldn't even let them touch him anymore. At that point all they did was have a conversation with me about good and bad foods etc., and said we were done. My son could not run out of there fast enough he hated it that much. From there I found a new dentist that caters only to children and my son absolutely loves it. Then the kicker... this placed lied and billed my insurance for a cleaning and fluoride that they DID NOT do so now my son can't even actually get his teeth cleaned by a REAL dentist. When I called them they had no explanation for what they did, instead of offering to make it right with the insurance they offered for me to bring him back to the same horrible people for a "free" cleaning to offset the fact that they lied to my insurance. Never would I bring my child back to that place. Liars and insurance scammers!

This is an excellent dental office and I would highly recommend it. I have been to many offices over the years and I think this is one of the best. They are very professional and knowledgeable on all procedures. Work is explained very thoroughly and options are given. The hygienist is super to any I have ever had work on me.

Appointment time 6:30, and not called back until 7:45. Great work they do, but if you have anywhere to be, this isn't the place for you. Sitting in a waiting room for an hour an a half, watching three people (that came in after you) get called back before you is something I'm not even sure a nun can get through without cursing. Honestly though, great dentists. Just be ready to rip your hair out before you get back there with them.

This dentists office is terrible! I took my son there for his first dentist appointment ever and they were supposed to do a cleaning. Have been visiting this office for about 10 years, they are hands down the most comprehensive and attentive dentists I've ever dealt with. High degree of care for pain management, and generally concerned for my comfort.

I have 9 year old twin girls that are both cognitively impaired and they did an amazing job with them. I couldn't ask for better. The last dentist they went to i feel traumatized us all. But this office was amazing. They explained everything they were about to do. I think that helped.We have found a keeper.
