Dr. Will Archer completed his dental education at Tufts School of Dental Medicine and spent his first years of practice as a general dentist in the US Air Force, stationed at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, TX. As an Air Force dentist he had the opportunity to work in a large clinic where he received mentorship from multiple specialists, and was also able to complete hundreds of hours of continuing education in subjects such as oral surgery, implants, prosthodontics, cosmetic dentistry, and endodontics. Dr. Will loves being able to work on all facets of dentistry, and the ability to see patients through their treatment, from disease to optimal health.
Before embarking on his dental career, Will studied Mechanical Engineering at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO and upon graduation, went through the rigorous training pipeline to become a special operations combat rescue officer (CRO). In his position as a CRO, he deployed to both Iraq and Afghanistan where he participated in rescue missions to aid US and Coalition military personnel as well as the local populace. Despite the rewarding nature of search and rescue, Will desired a career where he could continue to help others and have more stability and time at home. After meeting Amanda, a dental student at the time, he became interested in dentistry and was awarded a full scholarship with the USAF. Will currently serves part time as a dentist in the Vermont Air National Guard.
Dr. Amanda Archer began her general dental career as an undergraduate at Northwestern University. Despite studying economics, she took a job as a dental assistant upon recommendation of her brother, a dental student at the time. Her first week on the job, she saw a patient that had just gotten his first denture and was smiling for the first time in years, with tears of gratitude in his eyes. At that moment, she decided she wanted to be the one changing lives through healthy smiles.
After graduating dental school from the University of Southern California, Dr. Archer worked several years as an associate with veteran dentists and specialists, expanding her knowledge, technique and skills. She provides comprehensive restorative dentistry, from fillings and crowns, to dentures, implants and emergency treatment, as well as cosmetic procedures. She enjoys the diagnosis and problem-solving aspects of dentistry, as well as the clinical skills involved in the creation of long-term solutions to complex oral conditions; but really, it is the connection to patients that still inspires her daily.
Outside of general dentistry, the Archers are very involved with their three young children and are looking forward to becoming an active part of their school and local community once getting settled in Norwich. Together, they love rock climbing, exploring nature, and skiing, and are especially excited to introduce their kids to their outdoor passions.
After years of practicing in large metropolitan areas with heavily transitory patient bases, Amanda and Will decided they wanted to join a small community, where they would be able to touch peoples lives through general dentistry, but more importantly, as members of the community. They loved their time in New England, especially their weekend escapes to the mountains of New Hampshire and Vermont, and through various turns of fate, they met Dr. Kravitz. They immediately connected with his practice philosophy, treatment techniques, values and personality, and after three years of his guidance and mentoring from afar, they are so excited to pick up where he is leaving off.

Dr. Archer is wonderful. He really takes the time to listen to you and to explain everything fully. He has repaired my tooth when others were skeptical it would work. I feel good about my smile again. Everyone on the staff that I've dealt with have also been exceptionally nice and helpful. I am so glad I switched to this practice!

Prophylaxis hygiene, treatment, periodic exam all first rate. The cost is becoming prohibitive for those of us who rely mostly on SS and limited savings (fixed income in inflated times). What happened to the courtesy discount?

I find both doctors Archer very skilled, knowledgeable and caring. They are thorough in examining my mouth and teeth as well as informative. I have had a lot of dental work in the past and still have many issues come up. When something does come up it is not hard to be seen quickly. The staff is also very competent and caring. I saw Dr. Kravitz at this office before the Archers bought it and many of his fine staff stayed on, but the newer members of the staff are just as wonderful. Estimates are always accurate and honored. Overall, nothing but excellence from the whole practice.
