Our practice, led by Dr. Brian Custer, is committed to raising the standard of care in the dental field. Dr. Custer specializes in general, family, pediatric, and cosmetic dentistry. He looks forward to meeting you and brightening your smile.
Our office is located next to Archbold Middle School, across the street from Ruihley Park. Street parking is available right outside our office. Archbold Family Dental has been around since 1962 and is the longest-standing dental office in Archbold.
Dr. Brian Custer was born and raised in Coldwater, Michigan. He is a third-generation graduate of the University of Toledo. He received his DMD from Case Western School of Dental Medicine and completed his General Practice Residency at the University of Toledo Medical Center. Dr. Custer has experience in pediatric, cosmetic, and sports dentistry, as well as oral surgery.
Dr. Custer holds memberships in the American Dental Association, the Ohio Dental Association, the Toledo Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
Dr. Custers hobbies include scuba diving, golfing, fishing, shooting sports, gardening, and cooking. He also enjoys spending time with his family at their cottage in Northern Michigan. A lot of Dr. Custers family lives in the Toledo area, including his sister, who is a medical student at The University of Toledo Medical Center. He is an avid fan of Toledo sports, including the Walleyes, the Mudhens, and UT Rocket football. He was a member of the UT Rocket Marching Band throughout his undergraduate years, playing the saxophone.
Dr. Custer also supports the Toledo community by being a member of the Toledo Zoo and Art Museum. He was a nominee of the 2016 Toledos 20 under 40 Awards for his continued work for the underserved population at the Dental Center of Northwest Ohio and his participation in Ohios Give Kids a Smile Day since 2011.

Very friendly group. I've never felt more comfortable at a dentist than I do here. I've had some very bad experiences other places and this office makes up for all of it. Very knowledgeable as well.

I am very glad that I went there. The staff is very friendly and doc Custar is awesome! Doc Custar is fast and efficient with no pain whatsoever.

Had a great experience and will continue to go regularly to fix what my last dentist did not. Doc seriously fixed my teeth to the point I haven't seen them look this good in years! So Impressed! Love the staff, they are really kind and genuine.

A nice small local dentistry. Made me feel comfortable even after having my own past dental trama. They are sympathetic and professional. They do their jobs while making sure you are as comfortable as possible.

Best family dentist I have been to! Honestly. The staff not only made my kids feel comfortable during and after their cleanings, they made me feel comfortable. As a mom to three under five the staff really helped me with keeping my kids busy while I had my work done. I felt absolutely no judgment and they all were so very patient with my older children and with me having to tend with my 4 month old while in the middle of my cleaning. They honestly made an amazing first impression and I would highly recommend taking the family here for dental care. They made sure I knew what was going on and explained everything to me in a way that I could understand. I definitely love that I found an amazing team for my kids and myself.

Today was my first experience taking my kids there. The staff was amazing with my littles! I have a 6, 5 & 3 year old & I was very impressed with how well they were treated. We will definitely be coming back for all future services needed!

I have been going to Dr Custer and his team of wonderful people for over a year. He takes his time to listen and let's you know what he thinks he can do for you.Upfront and honest with you and they actually care how you are feeling . This was our first appointment taking our 3 year old twins to the Dentist, and the staff was soo nice and did a great job!! After the girls got their teeth cleaned they were told they could go pick out some stuff from the toy treasure chest too which they LOVED!! We highly recommend Archbold Family Dental, especially if you have little ones!!

I found them because I had a VERY bad experience with another dentist today. I am extremely happy that I went through the bad experience so I was able to cut ties with old dentist and venture out to find this group of AMAZING people!!! I love everyone's bed side manners! They were very inquisitive about my past dental experiences, my fears of dentists, wanting to explore other options than,I thought, had been my only option. This is the FIRST time I have experienced little to no pain at all!!! I got home and actually took a picture of my teeth, for the first time since they started crumbling, because I'm seriously excited to do a before and after, once all work is complete. They are so helpful and,I feel, they genuinely care about each individual they work with. Getting the best care as well as helping to find financial services to help when you have ZERO insurance. I wish I had found them 2 years ago, when my mouth took a turn for the worse. However, I have a whole new outlook on the future of my mouth,smile and quality of life! This is my new home for all dental needs and will forever refer them to anyone and everyone!!! Thank you all so much, for showing me a better way to bring back my smile.
