Led by Dr. Kevin Axx and Dr. Collin Clatanoff, Arcadia Endodontics is a state-of-the-art practice dedicated to improving oral health and function through the use of advanced endodontic treatments and innovative technologies. Dr. Axx has been practicing Endodontics since 2006 and has lived in Phoenix since 2007.He is a native New Yorker and attended college at the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY. He then went to SUNY at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in Buffalo, NY; completed a General Practice Residency and a Chief Residency at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, NY; and then practiced General Dentistry in Manhattan, NY. After developing a passion for Endodontics, he attended Temple Universitys Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, PA and completed a Residency in Endodontics.After completion of his training, Dr. Axx moved to Phoenix and has been providing root canal therapy and other endodontic services for patients in the Valley since 2007.He has completed over 21,000 cases.
In 2010, Dr. Axx achieved his Board Certification and became a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics. In Arizona, less than 20% of Endodontists have completed all necessary steps to become Board Certified and Dr. Axx is proud to practice according to the standards set by the Board.
Dr. Axx is the Lead Endodontic Faculty for the Brighter Way Dental Clinic where he instructs Student Dentists from A.T. Still University School of Dental and Oral Health in patient care regarding Endodontics.
Dr. Clatanoff is a native Phoenician who graduated with highest honors from Stevens Institute of Technology with a degree in Chemical Biology. He then attended the prestigious USC School of Dentistry where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.
Upon completion of dental school, Dr. Clatanoff was commissioned as an Officer in the United States Army Dental Corps and remained on active duty for 8 years. He served tours of duty at Fort Jackson, SC, Kandahar,Afghanistan, and Fort Gordon, GA, where he completed a two-year residency in Endodontics. Dr. Clatanoff spent his final 3 years of service at Fort Drum, NY, presiding as Chief of Endodontics. In the spring of 2018, he returned to Phoenix and has been performing root canal treatment and numerous other endodontic procedures at Arcadia Endodontics since that time.
As a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics, Dr. Clatanoff has completed all necessary steps to become Board Certified. This distinction is the pinnacle achievement in the field of endodontics and makes Dr. Clatanoff one of only 16 practicing endodontists in the Valley who are Board Certified.
Dr. Clatanoff is an active member of the American Association of Endodontists, American Dental Association, and Arizona Dental Association. He is a passionate lecturer and enjoys opportunities such as working at the Brighter Way Clinic to mentor others dentists in the field of endodontics.
Dr. Clatanoff lives in the Arcadia neighborhood with his wife, Kathryn, and their children, Landon, Carson and Norah. In his spare time, Dr. Clatanoff enjoys spending time with his family, staying active outdoors and supporting the Valley sports teams.
