Maple Grove dentist Dr. Jamie L. Sledd always knew she wanted to work in the healthcare field. When Dr. Sledd heard her grandmother lost her teeth at the age of 29, it strongly influenced Dr. Sledds decision to focus her education on family dentistry.
Jamie began her work in the dental field as a dental assistant before attending Marquette Universitys School of Dentistry. She practiced dentistry in Milwaukee for four years before returning to the Minneapolis, Minnesota area and acquiring her own practice in 1992.
Dr. Jamie Sledd is one of the only 150 dentists worldwide chosen to serve on the Visiting Faculty of the prestigious L. D. Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education, a unique distinction among other Minnesota dentists. Dr. Sledd is a past President of the Minnesota Dental Association. She is also a member of the American Dental Association.
In her spare time, Jamie and her husband, Tom, enjoy the outdoors, whether camping in the Boundary Waters or gardening in their Maple Grove backyard. Her greatest passion is Scuba diving. Jamie is a Master Scuba Diver Trainer.
Dr. Jamie Sledd is more than a family dentist. She is passionate about doing good and serving her community. She is a volunteer for both Eagle University and the Maple Grove Rotary Club. These organizations strive to support youth and community initiatives by offering experienced leadership and funding to foster education, career development, and community growth. She is also involved with Donated Dental Care, which offers dental care to individuals in need.
Jamie and Tom travel to Guatemala with Helps International to help provide medical, spiritual, and social support to impoverished, developing, and under-served communities. In addition to these clubs and organizations, Jamie also supports Days for Girls. Days for Girls is an organization she holds close to her heart because it empowers girls and women worldwide with more dignity, health, and safety by providing quality sustainable menstrual management.

Broke a tooth and needed a quick fix. After calling a dozen other dentists in the area Arbor's receptionist came through. She heard what I was saying and went to the dentist for approval. No automatic are you a new patient or .... Dr Sledd asked a couple questions, smoothed the tooth, asked if that was good, smoothed more. She met me with a smile and walked me back to reception with a smile. Awesome experience!

I started coming to Arbor Lakes Dental about 6 years ago, and I can't tell you the amount of gratitude I have for Dr. Sledd and her staff. I have always had fear & anxiety about the dentist, but since coming here that has subsided quite a bit. I've always felt cared about personally and taken care of with the best and most current dental practices & procedures. I actually leave the dentist in a good mood having laughed for an hour straight with Dr. Sledd and the team. Couldn't recommend Arbor Lakes Dental enough and I refer them to everyone who has any anxiety about the dentist.

I have never liked going to the dentist. But as soon as met Dr. Jamie, and she started talking with me, I knew that she was very genuine. She explained to me what she going to do and told me that I would always be in control during any procedure being done. She is coming up with a game plan for a me and I am looking forward to coming back.

Dr. Sledd and her team are fantastic! I look forward to my appointments each time. The genuine care for you and your oral health is palpable. Dr. Sledd will take her time and explain everything to you in an understandable way and tell you the WHY behind anything they do. On top of everything else they love to have fun and joke around. Very comfortable environment, the staff is friendly and welcoming and Dr. Sledd quickly makes you feel like you are old friends. I received great care and everything was thoroughly explained and options were laid out and they made sure I understood. My only wish is that I would have discovered Arbor Lakes Dental years ago.

I have dental anxiety but with Jamie and her team not so much. Jamie and her team tell you everything thier about to do and help calm any fear or tension you have. Extremely gentle unlike some past experiences where some dentist can be rough and don't bother to calm fears or concerns. Jamie and her office cares and will work with you in scheduling and payments. 10 out 10 experiences if any you have dental anxiety your in good hands

Arbor Lakes Dental is great! Dr. Jamie takes the time to really get to know each and every patient, and is really fun to be around. And, she has a great staff, who are especially great with children. Our whole family will be going to Arbor Lakes Dental for years to come!

I'm new to Arbor Lakes Dental. I typically do not like going to the dentist (who does?). However, my experience with the Arbor Lakes Dental staff and Dr. Jamie was wonderful. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. My hygienist was extremely gentle. Dr. Jamie is very thorough and examined my teeth with great care. She took a genuine interest in my needs and asked many questions. This was a positive experience at the dentist! This office is now my regular dentist. I've referred friends and family to Dr. Jamie.

I'm always confident in the quality of care I receive and know I can trust them but what really sets the office apart from others is their office culture. After nothing but horrifying childhood memories of the dentist I can honestly say I look forward to my visits. Yes, you read that correctly, I look forward to my Dental visits. Jamie and her staff are amazing. I'm always addressed by name and greeted with a genuine smile. I feel like they actually care about me as a person. They are always professional and laughter is the order of the day.
