Despite being uncomfortable, dry mouth alone is not a severe issue as long as it is not persistent. If it is, it can lead to various long-term health issues, ranging from irritating to dangerous. Someone who suffers from chronic dry mouth will likely experience mouth sores, splits at the corners of the mouth, cracked lips, increased plaque buildup & a greater risk of tooth decay & gum disease. You might even start to have nutrition issues, because the lack of saliva makes it more difficult to break down food when you eat.
Even if your dry mouth does not seem to be persistent, it is important to stay on top of treating it. The good news is that treatment is simple for most cases of dry mouth. First, make sure you stay hydrated by sipping on water throughout the day. For your dental & overall health, you should drink lots of water anyway! Dehydration, which dry mouth can be a sign of, is a serious health risk.
Other simple things you can do to treat dry mouth include chewing sugarless gum & limiting the salt, sugar & caffeinated drinks in your diet. Some people might recommend sucking on an ice cube or sugarless hard candy, but this can actually damage your teeth, so dont do it! You can also purchase nonprescription saliva substitutes over the counter to reduce your current issues.
If you use tobacco or drink alcohol, cut back on those or find a way to quit. Even if you dont think smoking or drinking is the root cause, those activities can irritate a dry mouth, so you should limit or stop them entirely. Plus, theyre just bad for you!
The best treatment for dry mouth always depends on the specific cause, so if home remedies or over-the-counter solutions dont prevent your dry mouth, it can indicate a more serious underlying health issue. In serious cases it is best to visit a physician or dentist who can work with you to figure out the root cause of your dry mouth & help you treat it.

She has expanded her knowledge through continuing education courses in conscious sedation, BOTOX fillers & Invisalign. She is especially interested in helping her patients maintain optimal health & nutrition & has become an expert in functional medicine. She has also volunteered with HelpIraq.org.

I received a teeth cleaning recently and the staff was very professional, well trained, and considerate. Great job to everyone! Very professional, well-trained, and knowledgeable staff. They did a great job with my teeth. Staff did a very good job again. 7 July 2017, The staff did another great job. Time and effort was only an hour and my symptoms and pain are gone and my tooth is fixed. April 2021: Visited again this week and staff and services was great. Oct 2021: Visited again this week and staff and services were great as usual. April 2022: Visited again this week and staff and services were fantastic. Nov 2022: Excellent service, excellent support, excellent staff.

overall horrible as soon as I got there the front desk didn't say anything and then while we were waiting for her to give us paperwork she was on FACETIME, and that's just the start we waited for about 30 minutes then the dentist calls us back just to tell us she couldn't do anything because didn't work with kids younger than 16 WHAT we already filled out paperwork saying what we needed done and how old my daughter was and just not your just now telling us.

I had my teeth cleaned yesterday (10-27-22). I'm so glad I went back there. It was no longer volunteered torture! No pain whatsoever and my teeth are clean and healthy. I highly recommend them. Both my boys are patients there too and also have had no-pain cleanings. The staff is great too which is always a plus. Thanks Aragona Dentistry!

It is Great that they had next day appointments for those that need help with new onset pain. They would have been able to do the required procedure that same day but they could not get through to the insurance company. I look forward to making the follow up appointment.

The dental hygienist Rivan, did such an amazing job cleaning my teeth. She cleaned them so well and took her time cleaning every single one with such care. I strongly recommend everyone to ask for her if they want their teeth cleaned to the highest level without any pain or discomfort.

I called for an appointment after my dog knocked my tooth loose. Being a new patient I was expecting I would not be able to get in for a few days but they were able to get me in the same day. Everyone was extremely nice, explained my options, gave me an estimate before they started. I was in and out within an hour. If you are looking for a for a dentist I highly recommend.

Awful...period. Stay away. Worst experience of any business I have ever dealt with. They don't even know how to use a phone. Went in for my appt...they sat me in exam chair, only to tell me my cap was not ready. Now, they are unwilling to set up appt to get that cap at a convenient time for me. Very uncaring and unprofessional Dental office. They could care less about stringing me along for weeks, waiting for a call that never came. Follow up. Office phoned to get my permanent cap today. After that was completed, they gave me a consent form to sign. I was finished with procedures...refused to sign. Afterwards the Dentist got close to my face and spoke at me in a extremely hostile manner. Perhaps people should avoid this establishment. Forgot to mention how Dentist insisted they were not trying to get me to sign a consent form after my procedures were done. The form clearly was titled consent form at the top of the piece of paper.

The whole staff were incredibly kind and professional. I was a bit nervous in getting a cleaning after a long time but the dental hygienist and dentist made me feel very comfortable. Shout out to courtney & dr abdallah for such great quality service. I highly recommend this place to anyone!!!
