Dr. Laura Stewart was born and raised in Mount Vernon, Washington. She attended Pacific Lutheran University and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Biology. Dr. Laura ventured east for dental school and graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2007. As a new dentist, she desired a meaningful way to begin her career and joined the Indian Health Service. She spent two years on a reservation in rural northern Minnesota and helped develop comprehensive care at an under-served facility. After gaining experience in both public health and private practice, Dr. Laura realized her passion for treating children and completed a pediatric dental residency at the Alaska Native Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska in 2013. Dr. Laura is delighted to make the Pacific Northwest her home again and looks forward to having a lasting effect on the dental health of children in her community and beyond.
Dr. Edward Chin is a graduate of the University of Michigan where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery and specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry while concurrently completing his Masters of Science Degree.
He continues to lecture internationally on a range of topics in his specialized field of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Chin enjoys creating the most aesthetically pleasing results for all of his patients and he has a keen interest in arch development and early treatment orthodontics. Some of the expansive number of procedures that Dr. Chin is trained to do include: full mouth rehabilitation, white or silver fillings, stainless steel crowns, porcelain crowns, porcelain veneers, teeth whitening, pulpotomies, pulpectomies, root canals, simple extractions, surgical extractions, space maintenance, palatal expansion, space regaining, arch development, complete orthodontics and many other services. All of the above mentioned interests have been included as a part of Dr. Chins practice focus throughout his career.
Dr. Chin is very calm and passionate about what he does and strives to be a positive influence in developing a strong dental experience for both parents and children alike. He continues to update his skills by taking multiple continuing education courses and participating in a full range of professional development that exceeds the requirements for State licensure. As a testament to Dr. Chins commitment to his professional excellence he has completed the rigorous examination process that qualifies him to be a part of a special group of Pediatric Dentists worldwide who have earned the distinction of Diplomat status with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Rosemary Chen achieved a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of British Columbia then went on to graduate magna cum laude from Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine. During her tenure at Boston University, she was awarded the Certificate of Achievement Award in Operative Dentistry. In addition to practicing dentistry, Dr. Chen also volunteered with the Boston Special Olympics as well as numerous other local organizations. She is passionate about her patients oral health and is excited to be an integral part of the team at Apple Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Emily Johnson grew up in Phoenix, Arizona where she received a Bachelors Degree in Biology at the University of Arizona in 2015. She continued her studies and received a Doctor of Medical Dentistry from Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in Arizona in 2019. After dental school, Dr. Emily was passionate about learning more about providing care for pediatric patients and patients with medical and behavioral complexities. With this passion for pediatric care, Dr. Emily started her pacific northwest adventure after matching at the NYU Langone Hospital pediatric residency program in Yakima, WA. During her time in residency, she was selected to complete a supplemental training program called Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities. Through this program, and with mentorship from her on-site faculty in Yakima, Dr. Emily received extensive training on the treatment of patients with special health care needs. Dr. Emily is passionate about addressing the oral health needs for all types of pediatric patients in this beautiful area. She looks forward to providing great dental care, building positive dental experiences for your little ones, and getting to know each of you and your families.

My daughter's dentist is the best! We love her! She explains things in a way that puts my daughter at ease for what they are doing. This office is such a blessing to our community if you stop to think about it. They accept state insurance which doesn't pay out top dollar to the ones providing this important service to our children. If they were not doing what they do where exactly can we take our kids for care? Yes there is unity care & sea-mar but this place is a gem! Anyway I've never had to even wait 5 mins past my appt time. They are kind, efficient & a wonderful group of people!

We LOVE Apple Pediatric Dentistry and Dr Rosie. Aside from the whole staff being great at their jobs, they treat us like family and truly take the time to get to know us and listen to our questions/concerns.

The dental assistant and dentist were both really nice, and they helped empower our daughter to work out a loose tooth that had been bugging her, and finally came out a couple hours after the appointment!

The staff here have been absolutely wonderful with my son, they make me feel at ease with their kind yet no nonsense Information on my son's dental health. And how to best care for him. If at all possible I will not take him to any other dentist until he ages out

So happy we found this dentist. Our only option for state dental was definately not a good place. Love Apple Pediatric. The staff is awesome and my daughter isnt scared anymore to go get the much needed work she need on her teeth. Infact she asks me all the time when her next apt is. Thank you APD!!!

I love the Ferndale office. Everyone is very kind and caring. My daughter insisted that she had teeth growing in and the Dr told her they won't be coming In for about two more years; after the xray the Dr. had no issues with telling my daughter that she was in fact wrong and my daughter was right. You don't find that very often. Just all the way across the board a great location.

My biological son goes and loves it, last time I went I brought my bonus kids and I felt we were treated very poorly. They had mom hold 2 year old head so the dentist could brush his teeth while he screamed hysterical. I will not be going back

My 3 young kids had a wonderful experience at Apple Pediatric Dentistry! One of my kids was particularly nervous, but the staff was very helpful and took the time to put him at ease and make sure he had a good experience. Now he can't wait to go back!

My 6 year old on the way out of the door said "I want to go to the dentist again!" That should say it all. Easy to schedule, efficient, wonderfully friendly. All 4 kids have had great experiences- including one with 9 teeth pulled.

We have been coming to Apple Pediatric, since 2013, my son was 9 my daughter, was 13, when our other dentist, stopped seeing patients and wanted to only deal with children age 6 and under. So my Doctor, told us about this dentist office. Everyone in the Bellingham office, has been kind and understanding, even when I had to pay out of pocket, they worked with me so I could pay the bill off in a couple of month's, this is a great place to take your kid's.

We take both of our boys to Apple Pediatric Dentistry. The dental hygienists and the Drs. are wonderful! They all know how to speak with children and make the experience as fun and comfortable as possible. I have nothing but good things to say about this place!

These guys are absolutely amazing!! I can't say enough great things about them. At our first appt they told me they could fix the thing my child's dentist deemed impossible. 2 days later she is a new lil girl!! Thank you so much apple!! Your the best Dr. Chin!!!
