Dr. Marvizi has been in the dental private practice sector for close to 30 years! He thrives on making strong connections with his patients, and he gets pleasure watching families mature through their dental care.
Dr. Marvizi received his BA from UC Berkeley in Physiology/Anatomy. He went on to the University of the Pacific to receive his DDS, and he graduated from the Misch Implant Institute. Aside from these accomplishments, Dr. Marvizi contributed to advanced occlusion research from Frank Spear at the Seattle Institute and from Terry Tanaka and the Dawson Institute team.
He has been awarded the advanced status of Board Certified Diplomate by the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) for his outstanding work and expertise in the field of dental implant surgery and restoration.
He stays active in the dental community as an associate fellow of the Misch Implant Institute, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID), and the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation. He truly wants to offer his patients an easy experience at the dentist with maximum results.
She loves building personal relationships with each patient and becoming a part of their lives and community. Before becoming a dentist, she attained her undergraduate degree from UCLA in Psychobiology, and her DDS degree from UCLA Dental School.
She isinvolved in continuing education in order to stay up to date on the latest innovations in the field of dentistry to provide the best care to her patients. She loves to help people achieve their desired health, smile, and lifestyle.
Dr. Rayhan feels honored to be able to practice this form of art to better serve herpatients every day. She loves the fact that her patients care about their oral health, their well-being, and their smile!
I have worked with Dr. Marvizi for 10 years. In that time I have learned how important our patients are to each of us. I have developed relationships that go beyond that of the practice and have shared in the lives of many patients. It is always rewarding to see the transformation in restoring someones smile. Dry mouth or Xerostomia is a condition in which the glands in your mouth dont make enough saliva to keep your mouth moist. When this condition goes on for an extended period of time, your oral health becomes compromised and youll have an increased risk of developing a number of problems like:
Side effects of medications antidepressants, blood pressure drugs, muscle relaxants, antihistamines, anti-diarrheals, urinary incontinence drugs, alzheimers drugs, Parkinsons drugs, and chemotherapy can also cause chronic dry mouth.
Lifestyle choices such as drinking alcohol or beverages with caffeine, using tobacco products, recreational drugs, high-salt diet and spicy foods, can contribute to dry mouth. Some dietary supplements can cause dry mouth as well.
Toothpastes and Mouthwashes which are the very tools designed to prevent oral decay could also be the culprit. Toothpaste contains a detergent called sodium lauryl sulfate, or SLS, that causes the foaming properties. Clinical studies have demonstrated that SLS is an irritant that also dries tissue and can disrupt healthy cell activity. Many mouthwashes also contain alcohol as their main ingredient. Although alcohol does kill harmful bacteria, it can create the very environment in which they thrive.

I have a cap put on my front tooth about 6 months ago and it has now come off. I no longer live in Long Beach and now have to find some way to get it fixed at my expense. I paid $1400 for shoddy work. I have not been impressed with this office since I first went to them. They first ordered the wrong tooth and I could see right through it. I'm not happy.

Dr. Gurvis is an incredible dentist. He took the time to talk with me and explained what needed to be done. He was patient and very thorough. His assistant Cynthia, was gentle and calm. They both made me feel comfortable. I highly recommend Dr. Gurvis.

Dr. Marvizi has been my dentist for more than 20 years and has always provided me with outstanding dental care and advice. He has also become one of my very best friends. As always, the Marvizi team came through with flying colors. I had a 50 year old filling fall out and Dr. Marvizi and his very efficient team got me promptly scheduled and corrected the problem in minutes. Can't ask for better dental care than that....this group of fine professionals are the best!!!! Just began my new year with an early appointment with The Marvizi Team. Since hygienist Jenny retired, I had the pleasure of meeting hygienist Haydee, who took good care of me and did an excellent job of cleaning my teeth. I also had a short visit with Dr. Marvizi and, as always, enjoyed our conversation and look forward to my next appointment in May 2021. Thanks to the whole team for being so professional and friendly. Almost complete with my second implant. The process couldn't have been better, as always, with the Marvizi team. Dr. Joe and Vanessa always handle me with great care and kindness. I so appreciate their timely and thorough procedures and look forward to their completion of this implant process next month. Thanks to all the Marvizi group....you're all awesome!!!!

Very professional dedicated to making sure you are receiving the best service possible up to date on the dental practices clean and well kept office and patient rooms. All staff very nice and make you feel comfortable. I no longer have a fear of going to the dentist. I would definitely recommend this dental practice to a friend or family.

Excellent care and attention from ALL staff members! Dr Marvizi service was superb, and painless dental work! I hate the dentist and pain in my mouth area. He made me feel at ease and I truly did not feel a thing with his numbing solution used. I recommend him for all your dental needs. He very straightforward and to the point of what is or not needed. I received a sinus lift, bone reduction and (implants)snap on dentures. Very happy with the overall product. Especially the top teeth that was made with good quality material and does not look like a denture thanks to the special lady who works there and added little details..Again, I definitely recommend and the process was not long..patience for a new smile These pictures do no justice of the new smile I received..
