We are a family dental practice serving the Triangle area since 1998. We have a wonderful team of Dental Hygienists, Dental Assistants, and Patient Care Coordinators. They all have been long-term employees of the practice and love to assist patients to achieve good oral health. Our office is constantly updated with new technology and our staff is continuously trained to ensure patients receive the best and latest care. We adhere to the highest infection control standards. Our office is open Monday thru Thursday with some Fridays. We welcome new patients and file most insurance claims.
Dr. Tina Shih is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, School of Dentistry. She furthered her studies in the Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at UNC-CH. She also served as an adjunct clinical professor at the UNC dental school. She is a member of UNC Board of Visitors.
Dr. Shih has resided in the Triangle area since 1984. She attended Sanderson High School in Raleigh. She did her undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is passionate about providing gentle and quality dental care to the community. She established Apex General Dentistry in 1998. Dr. Shih and her team would like to continue treating and maintaining healthy smiles for you and your family.
Connie: Dental Assistant Connie has been a certified dental assistant for almost thirty years. She was born and raised in Raleigh. She enjoys spending time with her family. She likes cooking, camping, gardening and traveling. The mountains is her favorite place to relax. She loves the dental field and strives to make each patient's experience a great one.
Mattie: Dental Assistant Mattie graduated Wake Technical Community College in 1993 achieving certification through the Dental Assisting National Board. She is an excellent clinician and enjoys being a part of a team that puts patient care and quality first. In her free time she enjoys reading, long walks and rooting for her husband and four children in their many endeavors.
Kelli: Dental Hygienist Kelli was born and raised in Cary. She has been practicing dental hygiene since 1998. She enjoys educating her patients to achieve and maintain a healthy smile. In her spare time she loves boating, playing with her dogs, and spending time with her family.
Laura: Dental Hygienist Laura has been practicing dental hygiene since 2006. She graduated from Lorain County Community College and is licensed in Ohio, South Carolina and North Carolina. She loves working in such a great field where she is able to help people and takes pride in the amount of care she gives each patient's oral health needs and goals. Originally from Ohio, Laura has been living in the Apex area since 2014. In her free time she enjoys traveling and going out on the lake with her husband and 3 children. She also enjoys rooting for Cleveland sports and going to her children's sporting events which keeps her busy all year round.
