Dr. Timothy Kim believes the most important aspect of treatment is patient comfort. Understanding that the majority of patients are not thrilled to be getting endodontic treatment enables him to comfort and provide relief as efficiently as possible. Keeping the patient aware of treatment planning as well as treatment options leads to a visit that has the patient well informed.
Dr. Kim graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Biology from George Mason University. Upon graduation, he followed his passion for photography and was a successful wedding and portrait photographer. Wanting to pursue his ultimate dream of being in dentistry, Dr. Kim finished an accelerated Masters degree from George Mason University, then moved to Boston to attend Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.
Upon graduating Magna Cum Laude from his dental training, Dr. Kim stayed at Tufts for his training in Endodontics. He is currently a member of the American Association of Endodontics, the Massachusetts Dental Society, and the American Dental Association.
On his time off, Dr. Kim still enjoys pursuing his passion for photography. He also loves to play tennis, golf, and ping pong. Dr. Kim is thrilled to try all the local restaurants that Maine has to offer!

Dr Kim is one of the most skilled Endodontists I've ever been to. He works very fast, very deliberate and precise, assuring your personal comfort throughout the entire root canal procedure. Never felt a bit of pain throughout the entire procedure. Did not get his assistants name but she worked along with him like a well oiled machine to fix and save a tooth I thought was gone after breaking. Being a fellow ex-pat from Virginia is a definite plus too!! Look no further, this is the specialist you want! Thank you Dr Kim and the rest of your practice.

I was so incredibly nervous to need a root canal. Topped with my incredibly high amount of anxiety on the daily, I can't thank Dr. Kim and his team enough. They were so kind and patient with me and my extreme level of anxiety. It was truly a painless experience and I hope so happy I chose his office, so worth the hour long drive!

Dr. Kim was absolutely incredible. I had a very difficult and incredibly painful tooth and Dr. Kim was kind and caring and helpful. Would definitely recommend Apex for a local endodontist!

I can't recommend Apex Endodontics and Dr Kim enough. His manner is very gentle, friendly, and professional. He explained everything and told me what to expect at every step. The best part is that I didn't feel a thing! This was my first root canal so I was extremely nervous. The whole office staff put me at ease, and the procedure was quick and painless. I can actually say this was a great experience. Thank you, Dr Kim and staff at Apex!

If I could give Dr Kim six stars I would. Everything was professional well done Of course I was nervous about the procedure but fortunately it was very routine and could not of turned out better. Dr Kim is one amazing doctor.

Dr. Kim is amazing. I always get very stressed when I visit the dentist. I had a difficult root canal, but Dr. Kim made sure I had absolutely no pain and he told me what he was doing and why throughout my visits. I would highly recommend him. Don't let his young looks fool you. He knows what he's doing and uses the latest technology to make sure you are getting the best treatment.

Utterly remarkable! Frankly, not sure where to begin with this organization. Anything written hereafter will not feel like enough compared to the treatment received (I mean this as a COLOSSAL compliment). From the care to the procedure to the follow ups, Dr Kim and his staff have been delightful. Dr. Kim is compassionate, caring, intelligent, sensible, accommodating, exceedingly great with root canal procedures and patient care. I could go on and on about how much of a true gentleman and professional he has been through this tough time for me. I have been having quite a few issues with my teeth due to many years of neglecting to see a dentist. My first visit was on an emergency basis, they got me in within an hour and had me feeling comfortable within a few hours because of an infection. Since then, I have had an additional root canal and it went as flawless as the first. Currently, they are keeping an eye on other teeth to make sure they stay healthy. Dr. Kim has put me at ease and made these visits comfortable. If you need a root canal, search no longer, Dr. Kim is the professional you need to see. You will not regret walking through their door and will feel right at home. Cannot thank you enough for the excellent care, Dr. Kim and Staff. I will be forever grateful I found your organization. The world needs more Dr. Kim's!

Extremely friendly and very caring!!!! They got me in on an emergency basis and covered all details of procedure. They even came in and opened their office early to accommodate my "Essential Employee " career schedule. I will definitely be going back for future care!!!! Thank you Dr Kim and Staff!!!

Dr. Kim and his staff were excellent. Very skilled, friendly and caring. Your comfort and understanding of the procedure are top priority. I have unfortunately had to have several root canals over the years and this was by far my best experience. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Kim.

This was my second root canal with them. I found the staff to be friendly and the music was good. Appointments were easy to obtain with little wait time. I'm pain free and the root canals were done fairly quickly!

I am very nervous about going to hospitals or dentists. Dr Timothy Kim and his assistant made me feel comfortable while having a root canal. Not only that, but despite all my anxiety, the procedure was 100% painless!!! I wish I found a good dentist years ago!
