GRACE, COMFORT, and PRECISION is the practice philosophy that Dr. Xiaoxian (Sue) Meng has devoted to all her patients and referring dentists! This philosophy is not only rooted in Dr. Sues educational background, but also reinforced by the latest technologies and top the notch equipment in the office, such as Surgical Microscopes, CBCT, digital X-rays, and GentleWave technology.
Dr. Sue earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the prestigious Ivy League University, the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, in 2008. Subsequently, she completed a two-year Endodontic specialty residency from the Lutheran Medical Center in New York (Now the New York University Langone Hospital), where she was awarded her certificate in Endodontics and the plaque for Outstanding Service as Resident. Prior to earning her dental credentials, Dr. Sue obtained the Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) degree in 2002 and the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Health Services Research in 2005 from the University of Florida.
Emily received formal education earning her Associates Degree in Applied Science from the Miller Motte College Dental Assisting Program in Wilmington NC in 2016. She proudly graduated at the top of her class with a 4.0 GPA. Emily successfully passed three Dental Assisting National Boards (DANB), achieving her nationally recognized Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) credential. She has been constantly taking Continuing Education courses, not only to maintain her CDA certification for the past four years, but also to improve her skills and keep up with the most upfront technologies in endodontics.
Emily is warm, welcoming, and most importantly very attentive to our patients needs. She enjoys getting to know our patients at the individual level so that she can build a trusting and harmonious relationship with them. She excels at assisting Dr. Meng under the Endodontic Microscope during the entire treatment and using the latest GentleWavetechnology to achieve precision and comfort.

Dr.Meng and her team took great care of me for my root canal. They were able to see me soon after my initial phone call, there was no waiting in the office, and the procedure went smoothly. I would definitely recommend her office for endodontics!

Dr. Meng and Nicole are professional, caring, and down to earth. I could not ask for better care. That was an easy root canal, efficient, painless, absolutely fine 1.5 days later. I highly recommend the Apex Endodontic Specialists dental practice. I was referred to Dr. Meng for a root canal. I found her to be professional, patient, kind and thorough. She took the time to make her own evaluation and confirm my diagnosis, then fully explained what I should expect. The procedure itself was as comfortable as any I've experienced in a dental chair. I am more than satisfied with the result and am impressed with Dr. Meng's skill and talent. I hope I never need another root canal, but if I do, I know where to go.

Careful dentist and technician. Felt no pain at all. Kept me prepped and aware of what was going on and what would happen next. No one likes a root canal but this is an excellent place to get one done!

My appointment with Apex Endodontic was a last minute somewhat urgent referral from my dentist. Upon arrival I was greeted, had the procedure and forms explained, and then Dr. Meng performed a root canal. The entire process was professional, but moreover, friendly and reassuring. Everything explained, and Dr. Meng frequently asking if I was ok or felt any discomfort. The entire process was pain-free with no discomfort. I was extremely pleased and highly recommend Dr. Meng and her staff for anyone in need of endodontic treatment. Very very satisfied!

Dr. Meng and the whole team are fabulous. My dentist referred me to Dr. Meng for a root canal. She was so helpful and kind enough to fit me in before the holiday weekend. They even called after to see how I was feeling. I hope not to have to go back but if I need another root canal I will only go to this practice.

I had found out I had an infection on my top molar and I was able to get an appointment the very next day for the start of a root canal. Everyone in the office was friendly and Dr Meng was very professional. I went back 2 days later and my root canal was done!!

As wonderful an experience one can have when getting a root canal. Agnes is friendly, helpful and a pleasure to deal with from squeezing us in for an appt to explaining payment/insurance. Dr Meng not only completed the procedure with little to no pain, she showed great compassion and patience and was able to calm my super-anxious kid and send her home smiling.
