Infection control in our office is also very important to us. To protect our patients and ourselves, we strictly maintain sterilization and cross contamination processes using standards recommended by the American Dental Association (ADA), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and the Center for Disease Control (CDC).

Dr. James Ma is from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada and earned his Bachelors of Science degree in Molecular Genetics from the University of Toronto in 1992. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Northwestern University in 1996 and completed a general practice residency at the University of Rochester in New York. He provides general family dentistry services at APEX Dental Care and is also a provider of minor orthodontics with the Invisalign system.
Dr. Chow grew up in Vancouver, B.C. and earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of British Columbia. After she completed her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of British Columbia in 2000, she attended a private practice in Richmond, B.C. In 2005, Dr. Chow relocated to Washington state where she now lives with her husband and two young children. When she is not working at the practice, Dr. Chow enjoys traveling, cooking, drawing, and hiking.
Dr. Yu is from Seattle, Washington. He graduated from the University of Chicago with a B. A. in Biological Sciences in 2006. He then attended the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC in Los Angeles, CA and completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2011 and completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the Wilson-Jennings-Bloomfield UCLA Venice Dental Center. Dr. Yu returned to Washington with his wife and son. Dr. Yu is additionally an affiliate faculty at the University of Washington Dental School and also helps co-lead dental missions trips with dentists and dental students to Central America each year. When not working at the practice, Dr. Yu enjoys teaching, cooking, traveling, and spending time with his family.

Dr. Ma has been my dentist for 18+ years. I recently moved to Seattle but I still make the 45-minute drive to Issaquah to see him and hygienists An and Lori. I do not like dental visits at all but they make my experience much more comfortable and even a little fun (with the movies, blankets, and neck pillow).

Dr James Ma and his staff have been taking great care of my family since 2003. I moved about 45 minutes away and still make the trip out to his clinic. It's a great atmosphere, good people and he is the best dentist I've ever had!

My family has been seeing Dr. Chow since 2009. She is honest about what needs to be done and has a gentle hand. I trust her with my children and my dental care completely. A bonus...she is hysterical! Love, love, love her! The front desk is wonderful and the hygienists are great.

I love coming to apex dental care, I have been a repeat customer for around 4 years now and plan on continuing for years to come. Dr. Ma & Dr. Chow are always extremely professional, fast & painless. Rarely do I ever need any type of numbing as they both are so gentile. I have a nasty habit of chipping my front tooth and Dr. Chow fixes it in record time with such skill I can't even tell which of my front teeth have had any work done. Booking an appointment is also a breeze at Apex, they take Saturday appointments which I love so I don't have to miss work. The wait times in the lobby (which always seems to be an issue in the medical field..) has never been a problem for me at Apex, I have never waited more than 2-3 minutes to get seated and going, which is really really nice.

We love Apex Dental! The Staff and Dentists/Assistants are always friendly and do a great job. I love the movie selection and headphones/sunglasses to keep your mind off someone scrubbing the inside of your mouth for you. Highly recommend Apex!!

It was a very pleasant experience, a little piece about 1/5 of one of my front tooth was chipped away, I went to fix , it took only an hour, including free x-ray. Dentist did everything I needed in this treatment and no need to comeback again, it saved a lot of time and money, I am very satisfied with this treatment.
