We choose to utilize digital X-rays and Panorex imaging because it reduces our patients exposure to radiation by 90% as compared to traditional machines. Our emphasis on updated equipment also allows us to easily develop and transfer digital images as needed! Plus, digital pictures of your teeth produce clearer X-rays, which let the team at Antoon Family Dental get a better view of any underlying dental problems which need to be addressed.
Dr. Antoon can also use an intraoral camera to show you whats going on with your smile! If we spot an area of your mouth that requires dental work or needs closer attention, well use this camera to project the image onto a chairside monitor. This allows you to see your teeth at a whole new angle and to fully understand what Dr. Antoon is talking about. We find that the intraoral camera is a valuable tool to complement our education or instructions and helps our patients better comprehend their overall dental hygiene and future treatment. The intraoral camera is wand-shaped, protected from contamination with a plastic sleeve for each patient, and is fully sterilized after every use.
For your convenience, we only use computerized record-keeping so that your files dont get misplaced or lost in the shuffle of daily office work. This also allows us to update your chart immediately, quickly, and securely.
Dr. Antoon and the team at Antoon Family Dental are happy to speak with you about your dental anxiety to ease your mind as youre receiving our care. However, we are aware that some individuals may have heightened dental phobia as a result of a past experience with a different dentist, so we offer nitrous oxide sedation in extreme cases. This is also known as laughing gas and is inhaled through a nose mask. This service creates a temporary euphoric feeling to calm your nerves, and the effects dissipate shortly after the gas is shut off. Youll be able to drive yourself home or back to work after your procedure with nitrous oxide.
After completing his Bachelor of Science in Microbiology in 1986, Dr. Antoon chose to stay at Southern Illinois Universitys School of Dental Medicine in order to achieve his doctorate. He also attended a one-year Graduate Practice Residency. After spending a handful of years in a group practice setting, he opened Antoon Family Dental over two decades ago! Today, he is a current member of the following dental organizations:
Norah started her career in the dental field back in 2013 as a dental assistant, eventually working her way up to an RDH. She performs throrough cleanings, educates patients about how to maintain great oral health, and regularly works side by side with Dr. Antoon. She has her Associates in Science from Collin College and her Bachelors in Dental Hygiene from Texas A&M. She graduated in the Top 3 from her dental hygiene class and is a member of Sigma Phi Alpha, which is the dental hygiene honors society. She is proud to work with a team that delivers the best care possible to patients. Her desire to treat everyone with kindness and respect makes this role a great fit!
Norah resides in Plano with her husband and two wonderful boys Naftal, who attends Vanderbilt University as a freshman, and Zane, who is currently enrolled in Haggard Middle School. Outside of work, theres nothing she enjoys more than spending quality time with her loved ones.
Suzies career in the dental field spans well over five years so far. She attended both Grayson County College and Collin College for her education, completing her Associates of Science in Dental Assisting in June of 2011. Her favorite part of this job is being able to help patients overcome their dental fears and achieve beautiful smiles!
Originally from Telephone, Suzie hails from a laidback family and enjoys traveling, shopping, keeping up with fitness, and sitting out on a patio with loved ones in her spare time. Shes also a BIG fan of the Texas Rangers.
Windy has been working in the dental field for over 25 years now and first joined Antoon Family Dental in 2014. She is proud to work for a dentist who truly cares about the patients and staff members, as well as partnering with team members that keep every day running very smoothly. She definitely makes an effort to treat people the way she would like to be treated.

I am a new patient of Dr. Antoon. He really does cater to cowards! His staff was super friendly, and everything went very well with my appointment. I highly recommend his services if you hate going to the dentist or have a phobia.

I am so absolutely terrified of dental work due to past experiences, but Dr. Antoon and his staff were wonderful. I am a brand new patient and had a root canal and two deep cleanings within a few weeks, and each time they were so careful and attentive. Lots of numbing and check-ins during the procedures to make sure I was ok, and they even showed me my X-rays so I could see the before and after difference. Highly recommend for major *teeth cowards* like me :)
