Dr. Antonio Zrate is a California native. Born and raised in Los Angeles, he left Southern California when he was accepted into the dental program at the University of California at San Francisco(UCSF) where he received a prestigious Willard C. Flemming Scholar Award. Dr. Zrate enjoyed his tenure there, and elected to stay in the San Francisco Bay Area after graduation. He is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and Napa Solano Dental Society.
After a few years in San Francisco, and a few years on the clinical and teaching staff at his alma mater, Dr. Zrate settled in Napa. His wife, Theresa has numerous family members in Napa, and it was the logical choice of area to begin their own family.
An avid outdoors person, he is active with his own family and as a Scout leader in his sons troop. He has served on numerous posts of responsibility and committee memberships including the Advisory Board for Dental Assisting at Diablo Valley College, Peer Review Committee of the Napa Solano Dental Society, Reconfiguration Task Force of the Napa Valley Unified School District to name a few.
Dr. Zrate acquired an existing practice in Fairfield, and has established a reputation for personalized, artistic care. He is also an advocate for the prevention of traumatic dental sports related injuries. He and the entire staff welcome your questions about comprehensive care over the entire spectrumfrom basic dental health to cosmetic care.
Originally from the South Bay Area. I been serving the dental field for 20 years. I started my dental career as a Registered Dental assistant, and eventually started working front office. The experience I have had in assisting the Dr. has helped me to better understand and communicate with patients about their needed care and treatment. I currently live in Vacaville with my family. My hobbies and interests are camping, fishing, shopping and watching a good football game.
This year marks my 25th anniversary of becoming a Registered Dental Assistant. Im Happily married for 22 years with two boys who turn 21 and 16 this year. Im either at my sons football games or hiking with my family and working on my succulent garden.
Hi, Im Irma. I live in close by Winters and have been in the dental field since 1999. As often occurs I started as a chairside assistant but found I wanted to specialize as a Dental Hygienist. I was accepted in the Dental Hygiene program in Southern California, and enjoyed my time there. (It was a really great place to go to school, and its hard to beat the weather in Southern California!)
I am enthusiastic and really enjoy helping our patients achieve their best possible health. I also enjoy being part of this team, which is really like a second family! See you soon! (And dont forget to floss!)

Called to inquire about the type of services offered. I was informed that this dentist only participates in the Delta Dental Insurance plan and accepts patients without insurance which is nice. The type of professional dental whitening system used is the To Go Opolessence kit.

I worked for this amazing man for a short time. He was kind and patient considering my learning disorder(adhd) and physical disability(myasthiena gravis.) Doctor went out of his way to teach me techniques advancing my knowledge in vast areas via dental restorations, extractions, Perio,pour ups, mixing products examples; impressions, cementing, temporary crowns having extreme patients and positive attitude he treated me always as a professional despite my sometimes childish ways (seriously unintentional :~ . I worked with a wonderful team I wished I thanked them more for giving me the opportunity. Having compassionate love not only for our patients, also allowing the practice to be a learing facility. The value of every professionals time in doing so could never be priced. I recommend this office to those who suffer anxiety, trauma... Or perhaps need a little guidance/understanding Dr. Zarate is your go to. He always considers his patients, going the extra mile at whatever cost be that time, quality of care, including products via procedures/home care. Jennifer(rda) taught me so much about being in a dental office I had no clue of. I'll never forget the effort and faith she had. Joan(front office) taught many values for life in general to this day I still utilize as well as computer program billing, charting, scheduling.Tessa(rda/wife) was amazing showing me being south paw is an advantage with Doctor chairside. The school I attended didn't exactly know or have alternative curriculum, text books, practical test, and lab is soley based on the statistic standard(right hand chairside assisting) Tessa went out of her way to help me unlearn the "handycap" way i was taught in school thats honestly how it felt all though the teachers meant well it was a major disadvantage going into real life work field. Denise(hygienist)was a beautiful soul I'll always cherish, patients adored her aura/persona, as was Amy (hygienist fill in) whom I wish I kept in touch. My teacher Miss. Kim was the rda last visit, she is unforgettable very kind woman her love for Dental glows as she speaks. Despite staff changes Doctor strives to maintain quality consistant care in his office. It was an honour working with this team. ,Cecilia

Dr Zarate and his staff are fantastic. I knew I was in for a great experience when he came out to meet me. That was a new experience, I usually meet my doctor when I'm in the examination room. I had to see him on an emergency basis, but you can believe I'm going back. There's something about the whole experience that was calming. After all the years of having to use gas or take a xanax for a dental visit, now no more. Thank you!

I can't praise Dr. Zarate highly enough. I used to have a lot of anxiety going to the dentist, but Dr. Zarate changed that. He has a very calming effect on people. He cares about his patients and their well being. The staff in his office are friendly and always helpful.
