Dr. Tauk was born in New York City and moved to New Jersey in 1994. Dr. Tauk graduated from New York University College of Arts and Science with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and minors in Chemistry and Anthropology. She continued her education at New York University College of Dentistry and received a doctorate in 1992. To her credit, Dr. Tauk conducted two independent research studies. The orthodontic and prosthetic research was presented, received awards, and was subsequently published in the Journals of Dental Research and Prosthetic Dentistry.
Dr. Tauk was a General Practice Resident at Flushing Hospital Medical Center in 1992-1993 and Chief Resident of Dentistry at Goldwater Memorial Hospital in 1993-1994. During her residency at Goldwater Memorial Hospital she attended an Oral Pathology and Oral Medicine Lecture Series at New York HospitalCornell Medical Center. Dr. Tauk started working in private practice as an associate from 1994 until 1997. During that period of time she was also a Clinical Instructor at New York University College of Dentistry (1993 until 1995). She taught and supervised dental students in prosthetics, general dentistry, and oral medicine. In 1997, Dr. Tauk opened her own practice in North Brunswick and then in 2008, she relocated the office to its present location.
She is a member of the American Dental Association and the Middlesex County Dental Society/New Jersey Dental Society. Dr. Tauk served on Peer Review in Middlesex County from 2001-2005. Dr. Tauk was designated as one of Americas Top Dentists every year since 2011 by the Consumer Research Council of America. She was elected Middlesex County, Alternate Delegate on the Council for Dental Benefits 2014 and is an executive Board Member, Middlesex County Dental Society Board of Trustees 2013-present. Dr. Julianne Avrutik was raised in South Brunswick, New Jersey. She received her Bachelor of Arts from New York University. She worked in research at the Department of Pathology at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and then went on to earn a Master of Science in Oral Biology from Rutgers Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. After realizing her passion for dentistry, she went on to earn her doctorate degree from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine and completed her general practice residency at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. Dr. Avrutik is a member of the Middlesex County Dental Society and the Academy of General Dentistry. She continues to pursue her education in dentistry and brings a fresh, compassionate approach to the practice. She is committed to providing the highest standard of care for patients.
Dr. Shayna Whitemanwas born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. She received her doctorate degree from University of Maryland School of Dentistry. After dental school, Dr. Whiteman moved to New Jersey and continued her training in a General Practice Residency Program at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. The program helped her gain valuable interdisciplinary skills including prosthodontics and oral surgery. Dr. Whiteman continued her training and received her Specialty Certificate in Endodontics from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine in Newark, NJ. Dr. Whiteman is a gentle and caring dentist. She has volunteered in multiple dental missions helping the needs of underserved communities.
Dr. Hirshorn is originally from NYC. Dr. Hirshorn commenced his education at the State University of New York at Stony Brook with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He completed his doctorate at the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine in 1981. After completing a General Practice Residency at Westchester Medical Center in l982 he continued on to an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency for an additional three years. Dr. Hirshorn has been an oral surgeon since 1985. He is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS) and the New Jersey Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (NJSOMS). Dr. Hirshorn has been working with Dr. Tauk since 1995. My greatest satisfaction as a surgeon is to make patients comfortable during what many would consider a potentially stressful situation.
Dr. Lamantea was a native of Bologna, Italy and moved to the United States as a child. He received his Bachelor of Science from St. Peters University in 1995. Dr. Lamantea pursued his dental education at New York University College of Dentistry where he earned his doctorate in 1999. He continued his training as a General Practice Resident at Mountainside Hospital in Montclair. In 2003, Dr. Lamantea completed his post graduate training in Periodontics at Rutgers University - New Jersey Dental School. Since 1999, Dr. Lamantea has joined several general dental practices, providing specialized services in periodontics. He has been an Assistant Professor at Rutgers University - New Jersey Dental School since 2010. Dr. Lamantea is a member of the Northeastern Society of Periodontists as well as the New Jersey Society of Periodontists and is a Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. He brings a caring and patient manner to the practice as well as years of experience.
Kunjan was born in Gujarat, India and moved to the United States as a young child. She has lived in New Jersey most of her life. Kunjan graduated from Middlesex County College with an Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene in 2001. She has over 18 years of experience in various fields of dentistry including periodontics, pediatric and geriatric. Her top priority is making the patient feel welcome and comfortable. She is very passionate about her work - especially by providing thorough patient education to help assist patients in making better dental decisions. She is dedicated in taking the time to inform, educate and enhance the patients experience.
Judit was born in Hungary and moved to the United States almost 30 years ago. She resides in New Jersey. Her interest in dentistry began in 1997 as a dental assistant. She continued her education and received her dental radiology license in 1998. Judit graduated from Middlesex County College with an Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene in 2000. Before joining our team in 2020, Judit had worked for over 18 years in a family dental practice. Judit treats each patient like they are family. She enjoys sharing her passion for dentistry by providing patients with knowledge and an amazing dental experience. Judit is committed to help patients achieve and maintain a healthy smile.
Susan has lived in New Jersey all of her life. Susan graduated from Middlesex County College with an Associate's Degree in Dental Hygiene in 1980. Through continuing education courses, she works hard at constantly expanding her dental knowledge. Susan has worked as a dental hygienist in various practices for three decades and joined our team in 2013. She takes pride in educating patients with the latest dental information to assist them in maintaining a healthy smile. Susan has a caring and friendly personality which allows patients to feel comfortable - making for a more enjoyable dental experience.
Stacy was born in New Jersey. Stacy graduated from Mercer County Technical School in 2003 with a certificate in Dental Radiology. She has worked as a dental assistant since 2003. She joined our team in 2007 as a part time assistant and maintains a full time position as a dental assistant in a specialty practice in Princeton. Stacy is a warm, capable and enthusiastic assistant.
Akei is from New Jersey. Akei has several years of experience in dentistry working as a dental assistant since 2002. He has a background in all dental specialties and has also worked as an office manager. He graduated from Dental Search Technical School in 2007 with a certificate in Dental Radiology and became a Certified Dental Assistant in 2010. In 2011, he continued his education at the school to become a licensed Registered Dental Assistant. Akei joined our team in 2018. He is gentle with his patients and loves to see them happy and smiling!
Stefanie is from New Jersey. She has been a dental assistant since 2004 and has extensive knowledge and training in various dental specialties. Stefanie graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Rowan University. She continued her education in 2011 at Dental Assistant Services where she received a certificate in Dental Radiology. In addition, she furthered her dental education at Ocean County Vocational School where she received her CDA and became a licensed Registered Dental Assistant in 2012. She is committed to patient comfort and providing patients with information regarding the importance of dental care. Stefanie joined our team in 2020 and is an asset our group with her extensive dental skills, remarkable patient care and energy.

I hate going to the dentist but I look forward to seeing Dr. Tauk and her staff. They are very professional and pleasant but most of they are very patient with a dentistphob like me. :)

I've been going to Dr. Tauk for a few years now and she and her staff have made going to the dentist a breeze! She is always hands on, gentle and extremely patient. Recently, she suggested I get Invisalign. I had braces when I was younger but haven't worn a retainer since middle school so my teeth shifted a lot. After 5 months with Invisalign and her monthly appointments my teeth were back to being straight as if I just had my braces removed! I was so happy I followed through with Invisalign, it was so worth it.

I've had the same dentist for 25 years (since I was a child) and was at a loss when I couldn't go to them anymore. At the recommendation of a former coworker, I went to see Dr. Tauk and have been going regularly for a few years now. Dr. Tauk's office is incredibly well-run - I've never waited for more than 5 minutes to get started on my scheduled cleanings. Every hygienist I've had has been fantastic; they do very thorough teeth cleaning work with modern equipment which makes the cleaning process painless and quick while maintaining quality and attention to detail. I have bad stains on my teeth (thanks to coffee) and the hygienists do excellent work getting me looking like new in about 30 or so minutes. I've had several fillings for small cavities by Dr. Tauk, and her work is absolutely stellar, the fillings look great, they feel natural, she allows plenty of time for feedback from me on how they feel and ensures I'm satisfied with the work while I'm in the chair. Since the COVID-era transition, Dr. Tauk's office has taken extensive precautionary measures to ensure the safety of her staff and her patients, and I am very much at ease when I walk into their office and sit in the dental chair during procedures. I've already recommended family members to Dr. Tauk, and I would recommend anyone else in the area to her practice as well, she's truly one of the best.

I've been seeing Doctor Tauk for the past year and she is 100% the best dentist I've ever had. She's honest, kind, and truly TRULY cares about her patients. I get regular dental check-ups with her and started Invisalign a year ago as well and have no complaints. She deserves more than 5 stars!

Dr. Tauk is an outstanding dentist, who goes above and beyond for her patients. She is always willing to take the time to explain and discuss the best options for her patients. unlike other dentist who only care about money Dr. Tauk shows a true interest in her patients and is understanding of their circumstances. Going anywhere else would be a mistake, as Dr. Tauk and her entire office are unlike any other. No wait time, great service, and a personalized experience. My aunt recomended Dr Tauk 7 years ago for me and my daughter. The best dentist we could have ever gone to. They treat you like family and are very good at what they do; from routine cleaning to rout canal, the office is top notch. Highly recommended!
