On November 16, 2020, Antioch-Brentwood Pediatric Dentistry lost a dear friend when Dr. Robert Rob C.K. Peng died in a motorcycle accident. Rob was on his way to the University of the Pacific (UOP) to teach in the undergraduate pediatric dentistry clinic that afternoon. He had served as part-time faculty at UOP for over 20 years.
Earlier in his career, Rob had been an integral part of Antioch-Brentwood Pediatric Dentistry. For more than 15 years, along with partners Robert Harmon, Richard Sobel, Jennifer Lo, and me, he worked to expand access to care for the children in East Contra Costa County. In 2008, six days after I had given birth to twins, Rob and I signed the paperwork to begin construction on our new Antioch office. While I navigated the nuances of being a first-time parent, Rob made the decisions and personally supervised the work being done for our professional future. The Antioch office will always be known as the office that Rob built. Sadly, six years later, Rob informed me that his physician was placing him on permanent medical leave. We cried as it was the ending of our partnership but rejoiced knowing that retirement from the physical demands of pediatric dentistry might allow his body to heal.
Rob was a very giving person and so very humble when thanked for his selfless efforts. He loved to laugh and truly wanted those around him to have fun and be happy. Friends from his dental student and resident days at UCLA and teaching at UOP can attest to his kind and gentle spirit. Rob touched many lives and no doubt many of his patients have special memories of his unwavering commitment to their oral health.
Rob is survived by his wife, Dr. Lilly Chen, and their two sons, Aaron and Kevin. His consummate energy, generosity, and sincerity will be remembered for years to come. Godspeed Rob, we will miss you and your smile on earth.

They have poor customer service. They work with kids but are very insensitive. Don't come here. Look for a place that value you. The office manager is rude and shouldn't be working with the public.

They are no help at all and are quick to turn you away if you disagree with anything. For someone that works with children they are very rude and condescending. The only nice person is their secretary. I went to this place because they had good reviews but it's all fake once you are in they are rude and unprofessional, especially the office manager Veronica. I took my kids in for one thing they made me wait outside only to find out at the end they did something else and I was stuck with the bill. They don't allow you to go in because they like to do whatever they want to the kids. How is a kid supposed to know what they are getting done and if it's ok. I don't agree that under age children should be left alone in the back with them.

My four year old son had to go through some extensive dental work and Dr. Tanimura (Dentist) and Dr. Sandoval (Anesthesiologist) made my family and son feel at ease. Everything went smooth and these doctors and there team were prepared for everything. My son did excellent and only complained of one thing. He stated"mom the doctors took my teeth and didn't give me a prize". His staff was notified and told my little guy they were sorry and will have two prizes when he comes for his post op. Wow, my kid did have some aching but remembered this one thing. Our family definitely recommends this pediatric dental because they are nothing but excellent.

This place got high ratings, which is the reason I brought my kid there, but my experience was not good at all. A few months ago, Dr.Leslie removed my child's molar, but after the procedure, there was still lots of blood coming out. Her assistant wondered if my kid should stay a little bit longer, but I saw her shake her head to the assistant. I feel she just wanted us to leave ASAP. Now, we have a new issue, the spacer she put in became black, and my child's gums are sore. I am not sure what kind of material they used, but my child also has metal crowns which we got from a different dentist much longer ago, there are still shiny. Anyway, we definitely will not come back to this place. I wish I could give 0 stars.

Antioch Brentwood Pediatric Dentistry staff is very professional ,patient, and thorough. Both the Doctors and Assistants take their time to explain everything that is going on with your child's oral hygiene. If your child had a procedure performed they always follow up with a phone call the next day

Had been going here since I was 9 and have unfortunately aged out I'm currently 21 and will definitely highly recommend Dr Tanimura, super patient and kind and makes you feel welcomed and comfortable. Won't be disappointed

Dr tanimura is amazing my kid was at ease and she let him know what was going on during the procedure and made him feel comfortable I will be sending both kids to her now for anything dental. Office staff was great love that she has 2 offices in Brentwood and antioch!

Do not go here!! The Office Manager Veronia, needs an attitude adjustment. This dental office needs to learn how to treat patients and their family with empathy and integrity. My boys and I were very loyal to this practice for 15 years and they recently treated us with the upmost unprofessional service. I requested a call 3 times from either Dr. Lo OR Dr. Tanimura and neither of them bothered to call me. I also sent 3 emails too and the Doctors are not acknowledging what their employees Veronica did to terminate our services. I gave them an opportunity to apologize before sending this review and they obviously don't really care about their patients and they do not follow through with their brand and mission at all. They really need to re evaluate the true meaning to excellent customer service even more then ever due to COVID-19. Patients and their families want to feel welcomed, safe, and treated with respect. Given a piece of mind that their kids will be served with the upmost excellent service and providing the same to their parents. Please consider NOT to join this business if you wish to be surprised the Doctors do nothing to correct the mis treatment staff is allowed to give in this dental office. Especially thier employee Veronia, who is so awful and fake.

Dr. Lo and staff are amazing!! My son unfortunately has a lot of dental problems and does not take well to dental visits. Dr. Lo is so kind and caring and the staff is so patient and understanding. I can't say enough about them. I highly recommend!
