Dr. Anthony R. Costa, a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, has been practicing comprehensive orthodontic care in Bryn Mawr for more than 20 years. He is a lifetime Bryn Mawr resident. Following graduation from Radnor High School, he continued his education, attending both Villanova University and Temple Dental School, where he graduated first in his class. Dr. Costa then completed a general dentistry residency at Bryn Mawr Hospital.
Dr. Costa feels it is important to stay up-to-date with the latest techniques and technologies. To do so, he maintains memberships in many professional organizations, including the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Pennsylvania Dental Association, Academy of Stomatology and the Main Line Dental Society.
Dr. Costa is dedicated to making sure that both his adult and adolescent patients receive superior treatment and service at every visit. Dr. Costa offers an extended range of services, including Invisalign, low-profile brackets and cosmetic braces. His aesthetic nature assures that every smile is unique to every individual.
To give back to his local community, Dr. Costa volunteers and fundraises for many local schools, including Radnor Elementary, Ithan Elementary and the Baldwin School. He also participates with the Haverford School auctions, the Lower Merion Soccer Club, Unite for Her Breast Cancer Awareness, the Armenian Sisters Academy and the Alex Wake Memorial Run.
We are especially interested in making all our patients feel right at home! We put your needs first to achieve efficient and comprehensive treatment. Our staff is trained and skilled, and we strive to provide energetic and fun-loving service to each patient. Each member of our treatment team is a registered assistant, and our office staff has years of experience treating patients with the highest level of care. We strive to stay abreast of the very latest in technology and advances by regularly attending continuing education courses and seminars.

Can't put in to words how great of an orthodontist he is. I switched over to his services after a "botched" orthodontic journey with another orthodontist. I came to him (still in braces) with my midline being totally off and my teeth unaligned after 2 full years in braces with my previous orthodontist. He definitely understood my unhappiness with my teeth from the other orthodontist and talked with my mom and I about our next steps. I spent 2 more years with him fixing the damage the other orthodontist had done. I now have a smile I'm in love with and can't thank him enough.

Dr. Costa is wonderful. We went elsewhere and never went back. At Dr. Costa's office the staff is amazing and Ann Marie made my grandson very comfortable. She explained the procedure with layman's terms. My grandson was very comfortable. But then Dr. Costa came in the room and put the icing on the cake. My grandson was so happy and comfortable. The place is exceptionally clean and organized with Covid protocols from A to Z. Literally from as soon as you pull up into the parking lot to when you leave. The entire facility is immaculate. You can tell that safety is their #1 concern. Dr. COSTA is so wonderful with the kids. I would not take mine anywhere else.

The staff can be pretty aggressive on your teeth and tend to not notice/care if they hurt you a little bit. They also might not be the best place to go if you're a democrat or anti-trump because they are mostly republican and will make many remarks about politics that confirm that statement. They do seem to care about the end result of your teeth which is both admirable and important.

What can I say about Dr. Costa that I haven't said to thousands of patients over almost 20 years. He is truly the best orthodontist in Pennsylvania. He is skilled, talented, and compassionate. Most importantly, he has not jumped on every fad and fly-by-night idea. He has provided consistent beautiful results without over treating any patients for many years. I'm proud to call Dr. Costa a colleague and a friend.

Dr. Costa is AMAZING!!! He has been working with my daughter for 2 years now and we are thrilled. She is 11 1/2 years old and is so comfortable with everyone at this practice. Since day one Dr. Costa has made it a point to spend a lot of time with her making sure she is happy and comfortable. She loves him.

I love this office so much and Dr. Costa is THE BEST! I shopped around for other orthodontists and I really think he is as honest and as good as they get. He also doesn't over expand the teeth. He talked me out of a few extra options, even though that meant less business for him. And he fixed my teeth, too, and my husband's, for a pittance.
