Dr. Macy Hyvonen is a native of western Montana. She grew up in Charlo, MT, and attended the University of Montana, graduating with a degree in Biology in 2003. Macy then went to dental school at Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health, finishing in 2008. Before joining Family Dental Group in 2012, Dr. Hyvonen worked in Community Health for her first few years out of dental school. She has practiced at community health centers and non-profit clinics in Butte and Libby, Montana, and in Ellsworth, Maine.

While she thoroughly enjoyed traveling and living in new places, Dr. Hyvonen is excited to be back in Missoula and Griz Country! Dr. Hyvonen is a member of the American Dental Association, and the Montana Dental Association, and acted as the New Dentist Representative on the MDA Board of Directors in 2009-2010.

In her free time, Dr. Hyvonen likes to be found on the golf course as much as possible (or skiing at Snowbowl in the winter). She also enjoys cooking and gardening, and getting out on a river raft whenever she can. Dr. Hyvonen performs all aspects of general dentistry, on both adults and children. She is excited to be a part of the wonderful group of professionals at Family Dental Group!

Dr. Kate Diggs grew up in Rochester, Minnesota, and attended the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, where she earned her bachelor of science in Biology. She then attended the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, graduating with her Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree in 2015.

It was in dental school where Kate met her husband, Tanner, a Missoula native who introduced Kate to the beauty of Montana. Before moving to Montana, Dr. Kate practiced dentistry near Duluth, MN at an Indian Health Services clinic, gaining clinical experience in all aspects of general dentistry. She is very excited to now be a part of the Missoula community and is taking advantage of all the adventure that Montana has to offer.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Kate stays busy with family and friends as often as possible. She enjoys hiking, camping, skiing, golfing, and spending time at the lake. Dr. Kate is an avid fan of Minnesota sports teams, especially the Vikings and the Twins, and has also adopted a love for Griz football. Dr. Kate performs a wide variety of dental procedures and enjoys working with patients of all ages. She is thrilled to be a part of Family Dental Group and looks forward to getting to know each of her patients while continuing to provide quality dentistry.
