Dr. Ann Ho earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree (D.D.S.) from the University of California San Francisco (UCSF). She was awarded a Master of Healthcare Administration (M.H.A.) and a Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) from the University of Southern California (USC). Dr. Ho also holds a B.S in Pharmacy from Taipei Medical University which gives her a unique perspective on the effects that some prescription drugs can have on dental issues.
Dr. Ho keeps up to date with current advances in dentistry. She had fellowship training and received certifications in advanced implant dentistry and advanced cosmetic dentistry at UCLA. She was awarded Diplomate of Implant Dentistry by the American Board of Implant Dentistry. She also received the honor of Mastership in Implant Dentistry from the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, as well as a certification in orofacial pain at the University of Kentucky. Dr. Ho is also certified with Invisalign and Laser Dentistry.
After years of practice in the San Francisco Bay Area, Dr. Ho is well known for her gentle touch and for listening carefully to the concerns of her patients. When asked about her ultimate goal as a dentist and her philosophy for patient care, Dr. Ho replied I am treating you with the same level of dedication and care that I give to my family and myself. We are treating our patients not only with quality care; but also, with a compassionate heart.
Dr. Ho also has numerous honors that showcase her commitment to excellence both professionally and personally. She has awards from the Gamma Pi Delta Prosthodontic Honor Society, the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Honor Dental Society, and UCSF among others. Dr. Hos love of the arts is exemplified by her awards for calligraphy, ballet, and music especially an award diploma for her piano performance at the British Royal Music Academy in the UK.
Born in Taiwan, Dr Ho immigrated to the United States in the early 1990s with her parents and two brothers. Her parents instilled in her the importance of a good education while emphasizing the values of helping those less fortunate than oneself. Dr. Hos care for the people in her community makes her a devoted dentist today.
Giving back to the community is very important to Dr. Ho. She has dedicated herself as a volunteer provider of dental healthcare. Dr. Ho is committed to the Free Community Dental Clinics of the Tzu Chi Foundation in Northern California. She also provides free dental services for the elderly at the Salvation Army Church. Lastly, Dr. Ho has served on the South Asian Dental Health Care Service Team of the Tzu Chi Foundation.
Dr. Ho likes to spend her leisure time playing classical music on the piano, violin and viola. Dr. Ho and her husband make their home in the Bay Area and take pleasure in movies, reading, golfing, biking and travel.

I felt they were trying to maximize profits rather than improve my health. I spent one hour there, did not get the treatment I expected, was charged unexpected fees, and came back home frustrated. After complaining, Dr. Ho waived my fee. Realizing that I'm not the kind of patient with time to go back over and over and pay whatever is charged, she dismissed me and recommended I should wait two months with an open filling to get care with my traditional dentist, who later told me that waiting two months was in fact dangerous.

Dr. Ho and Kealy are very friendly, however, I have major concerns causing me to write this negative review. At my first appointment, I was told I needed a "deep clean" for early gum disease, a new filling, and potentially Invisalign, all treatments that no dentist had previously told me I needed (and I have good oral hygiene and visit the dentist regularly). I went back to Google reviews and noticed that an abnormally high number of people are told here that they need a deep clean. I sent my X-rays to a family friend who is a dentist and he told me in no uncertain terms that I didn't need a deep clean. BE CAREFUL at this location as they will very likely recommend you services you do not need and will cost you a lot of money. It feels like they are just trying to make money and don't have patient's best interests in mind. Highly disappointing and will not be going back.

I have been coming to Dr. Ho since I moved in this area. She is so professional and always very patient and kind. Also, she told me some tips that can keep my teeth healthy which I find pretty useful. Highly recommended!

I never thought I'd give a dentist a 5-star rating, but Dr Ho has been great at fixing up my teeth, explaining and showing why certain procedures may or may not be necessary, and working with my insurance to get me the best deal. The dental visits have been -dare I say- pleasant and I would highly recommend this place!

Dr. Ho is the best dentist I have had in my life. I've visited her office many times over the past year--her team is always kind and courteous. My teeth are in better shape than ever before because of Dr. Ho's evidence and data-based approach. Each time I visit, she takes time to explain the procedures, how my teeth are doing, and what needs improvement. This is empowering and keeps me coming back to see her!

It had been a little over a year since my last cleaning (where I had no issues at all), so I decided to come here. At my first appointment with Dr. Ho, she recommended a list of treatments that would cost me over $1000 out of pocket. I was very surprised and got a second opinion- none of the treatments Dr. Ho proposed ended up being necessary. Very sad that she would try to trick patients in order to make money.

I came to Dr. Ho with an infected root canal - she made me feel at ease after explaining every procedure ahead of me.This happened right before the Pandemic shut down and I have to say that I'm honored to have such a great Dentist that took care of her staff during the shut down. It has been quite a journey, I even learned how to properly floss and do salt water rinses at 33 years old :) Thank you Dr. Ho and the office staff!

Dr. Ho and her team are phenomenal and have helped me navigate several months of gum disease woes (I had slacked on getting regular cleanings -- reminder to go to your dentist!). What I really love is their kindness, patience, and ability to share how they're thinking about a treatment plan (for example, sharing the "why" behind my need to come back after 3 months). I'm a huge tooth nerd, and was delighted when Kealy, my hygienist, took the time to show me photos of my x-rays and gum pocket depths before and after my deep cleanings (also, wow, what a change!). That commitment and care for patient education will keep me a loyal patient for a long time. Thanks Dr. Ho, Kealy, and team!

They are friendly people and solved some of my problems successfully, some complicated fillings and one crown placement. However, unfortunately I have to give 1 star due to the following concerns: 1) They may overwhelm you with unneeded treatments (e.g. deep cleanings) and your insurance may deny coverage in those cases. You will have to go through a time-consuming appeal process in that case, and may end up having to pay the entire amount out of your own pocket. 2) Their Google reviews feels manipulated, one of the reviewers even discloses that they got a free Waterpik for the review. I don't believe this kind of marketing is ethical in the medical context. 3) They recommended and were about to perform a very complicated root removal procedure for my wife, which was found to be completely unnecessary by three separate dentists. She would have to go through excessive side effects, pain, and a potential insurance denial for no reason had she accepted that treatment.
