The hygienist seemed rush, due to the machine malfunctioning, so I had to be moved to another room which I think caused the hygienist to be rush so I felt I didn't get a thorough cleaning.

I had a broken crown removed and a new crown put in by Dr Shepard. I normally don't numb well from xylocain shots and the shots themselves have typically been painful. I also have abnormal bone growth in my gums and the roof of my mouth which are extremely painful if pressed on with the x-ray insertions. He accommodated these conditions so well, with innovative adaptations, that I only experienced the tiniest discomfort, which is hardly worth mentioning. Compared to the abject, dreaded pain I have always experienced, I had virtually no pain. His multiple shots, needed to adequately numb me worked so well I had no pain at all during the procedure, and the shots themselves did not hurt at all. This 3 hour process was a breeze for me. It is with great relief and security that I look to my future tooth care at Ann Arbor Smiles.

I called to make a standard annual dental appointment after not being to a dentist in years due to COVID, and was given an appointment quickly, which was great. However, when I arrived and was in the chair I was told that they were splitting the appointment because they didn't have time to do a cleaning and see the dentist on the same day, so they could only have the dentist see me and I would need to do a separate appointment another day for the cleaning. I ended up making one, but when I arrived to it I was told I would be fully responsible for paying out of pocket, when it was their fault for splicing up my annual. I have one covered annual a year, and now it's been used even though I didn't even get my teeth cleaned. It has been so long since I had a cleaning and that was a big reason why I even made the appointment. I am absolutely infuriated nobody communicated on the phone while I was scheduling that this was not a full appointment, because I'm a PhD student and can't afford to pay out of pocket for a cleaning. I guess I'll just wait another year. You should be ashamed of yourselves for scamming a poor PhD student out of dental care.

Have been at Smiles for several years now. I have been impressed with their technology and proficiency with it, especially being able to offer onlays vs traditional caps, all in one appointment, using video technology to capture the dimensions, and milling to create the required prosthetic, all done in one sitting.

First time there--extremely friendly staff, short wait time, Dr. Garcia was incredibly knowledgeable, and Amanda was a joy to talk with throughout the cleaning. Pain-free, and I even learned a few things while there. Would highly recommend, especially for U-M students like me who were/are looking for an in-network provider!

Great first and second visit! I went to then first because I we having tooth/jaw pain and my regular dentist couldn't fit me in for 2-3 weeks - these guys were able to see me the following Monday! I was so grateful. I then went in for an over-due cleaning - the dentist Dr. Garcia was very nice, and much less dramatic about needed procedures than my last one, saying my teeth looked fine. The hygienist, Han, who did the cleaning was also very friendly, very thorough, and did it much less painfully than my old dentist. AND she made sure to get me quote for my next procedure, without my even asking!! THAT'S really something. I'm definitely sticking with them. Thanks for the great treatment!

I had an extremely bad experience with Ann Arbor Smiles recently. My first appointment got canceled by a phone call which I missed. No voicemail, no text message...I went Ann Arbor smiles anyways to found it out. Rescheduled appointment was sent to me via text, telling me to come on Sunday...guess what...made all the way here to found it closed on Sunday. Thank you for making me drive for nothing twice.

My hygenist Amanda knew that I had celebrated a major milestone in my life last Sunday. She stopped at the florist before she came to the office today and she gave me a white rose. She takes the time to get to know her patients and today she made my day. Top that with the best cleaning I have ever had and it was quite a way to start my day!! Go see the SMILES staff on Stadium for your dental needs. I promise you'll be glad you did!

My treatment was both productive and informative. I received a very thorough and professional cleaning from my hygienist Amanda. And, while she was doing the cleaning, she explained exactly what she was doing and why it was necessary. This is just one of the benefits of being a Smiles client. With every appointment, I am learning more and more about the science of dentistry and, yes, that is a good thing. The more I learn, the more comfortable I am with the process. Thank you.
