My son was seen by Dr. Kristin for a tongue tie. He has struggled with his speech for several years. Dr. Kristin did a complete evaluation and explain the procedure very thoroughly, and answered our questions with great care and understanding. The procedure was done successfully! We could understand him easier almost immediately! It has also boosted his self confidence tremendously. He continues to do follow up myotherapy there at the Chelsea office. The staff there are truly amazing!

Today was our first visit and I'm so happy we switched to this dentistry! We came from an general practice dentist that did the opposite of cater to their pediatric clients so this was such a great change. The staff was so welcoming, so kind and so patient with my 2 and 3 year old. The explained everything, made my children feel as completely as possible and did not force them to do things but instead worked with my kids to make them feel better about the whole big, scary dentist experience. I cannot thank everyone enough for the treatment we got today. Actually looking forward to coming back to the dentist for once :)

Just found out they was sending my kids records to a random person's email because they can't properly read and write the info correctly down. Also made my niece have to pull her front teeth out when she never needed them removed. Parents check your accounts make sure they are sending your babies info to the wrong ppl u of m is better and don't do extra unneeded work nor traumatizes your kids

Excellent with being able to handle kids who are petrified of the dentist. They explain everything to them, let them touch their equipment to ease their minds. Staff is super friendly! All around a great place!

I don't ever leave a bad review EVER. This was horrible. My son was playing with his brother and broke half of his back tooth off. We called an made an appt for the next day in hopes to save his tooth.Dr. Ammie told us that the tooth had a prior cavity and that it was infected and could not be saved what so ever. Our ONLY option was to pull his tooth and if we didn't it would affect his adult tooth. They did NOT numb his tooth well. They put him through excurusiating pain, he was spitting blood every where and screaming in pain, I could not calm him down, his blood pressure was extremely high and his entire body was shaking. Completely traumatized. We had to take him in the the ER because he was in so much pain he was puking. They sent us out with blood dripping out of his mouth and he couldn't even walk.

I took my 6 year old daughter to my local dentist and she was very afraid of the gas mask and didn't want it on. The dentist was yelling at her (that made me very upset) he was saying how he would send her to a dentist that wouldn't let her mom come back with her and was threatened to make me leave the room and im not comfortable with leaving my 6 year old daughter alone with the dentist for logical reasons. So after all that he referred me to Jackson pediatric dentistry so i called and they informed me that i would not be allowed back with her so i said thank you and hung up and called Chelsea pediatric dentistry and they said i was allowed back so i made the appointment. When we came we got the sweetest dentist Dr. Minjoo Sanker i highly recommend her i can't believe how patient and sweet she is i felt so bad with how terrible my daughter was acting but she really is a rockstar. Unbelievable how kind and nurturing she is i really can't say it enough and her assistant was awesome also. I couldn't stop saying how sorry i was. I really recommend you ask for Dr. Sanker 1,000% 100 out of 10 if they let us come back we will come back for every visit. Best pediatric dentist ever ( they are totally underpaid lol )

Two reasons we left this practice this month: Dentists: We have had more than one occasion where cavities have been totally missed. We weren't told to watch them...they just weren't mentioned. Then when it comes time to fill the one cavity we go in for, another is mentioned and suddenly my bill has gone up $250 for an additional filling. "Well maybe the other dentist just wanted to "watch" this cavity." NO they didn't mention it any shape or form. I also have a child with sensory issues and learning disabilities. I've been told they specialize in this. I have never once felt that they specialize in any kids with special needs. They sometimes sound robotic when talking to my kids. Customer service and billing: A well-trained staff is so important to creating a cohesive practice that you trust. Every person working must be aligned with all the information necessary to provide excellent customer service. After receiving conflicting information about payments and cost of treatments we became increasingly frustrated at this practice. For instance, Dr. Ray is more than happy to provide free fluoride for us, other dentists in the practice balked at this. This lack of clear communication leads to us being genuinely frustrated and irritated as self pay clients. When we have asked for more clarification on being self pay and what discount there is to pay up front the total bill (most dental offices offer 3-5% off to pay up front your whole bill-they don't have to deal with insurance or the administrative headache of chasing you for payment. It's a WIN-WIN) we have been told, "we just don't encounter self pay clients that often, so we don't come across this". Really? In 2021 you don't have self employed patients who pay their own way for dental care? Please, that's insane. AA pediatric dentistry, you need to get your policies in order and make them clear to clients. You can't have some of your dentists discounting things and giving them for free and then have other dentists in your practice completely balk at the thought of a discount to pay in full. All of this made us switch to a different pediatric dentist. Also, forms that you could fill out BEFORE you come online would be huge. Handing people huge clipboards with pages of things to fill out with no digital option is so tired in this day and age. We invite you to join us in 2021 where not EVERYONE has dental insurance. Us self pay clients are typically pretty lucrative when treated well. A small discount to pay up front would have gone a LONG way with us. Make your payment policies/options clear for clients without insurance. Also don't shame me when you call for not having insurance by your receptionist staff.

I highly recommend Ann Arbor Pediatric Dentistry in Chelsea! My 10 year old son has anxiety when going to the dentist and the staff was very patient and caring. I'd like to thank his hygienist, Carrie, for her sweet personality! Dr. Kim took the time to answer my questions and took the time to set up a treatment plan that was best for my son. I am so glad that my children will be well taken care of here and their treatment and care is important to the staff.

Dr. Rosalee is magical! Our 4-year old had massive anxiety about the dentist and needed lots of work done. I didn't know what we were going to do, and Dr. Rosalee got us through to the other side with a few appointments. Our kid thinks this place is so cool, particularly the waiting room toy/book selection and the flying unicorn. They just 'get' her and know how to talk her through the hard stuff.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! I can't rave enough about how amazing Mrs. Minjoo Sanker and assistants were with my 3 year old daughter. Very sweet and accommodating. Encouraged my daughter when she needed her to open her mouth or bite down to take X-rays. Very sweet staff and a wonderful experience. We don't have dental insurance and we found the pricing to be affordable for services and also they were accommodating with a payment plan. Very convenient, love the location, plenty of parking and just an overall wonderful experience for my daughters first dental visit.

UPDATE: I received a call from the office the following day, explaining that my record is now flagged for PPO and details about the bill. I appreciate the provider reaching out to me and working with the additional charge due to being inadvertently seen by a premier dentist. Our initial visit was excellent, my daughters filings were covered at no charge besides our deductible. My reasoning for a 3 star review is because of our second visit. My daughter was scheduled for sealants and a filling. Unbeknownst to me, we were scheduled with a premier dentist verses a PPO provider, when we went to check out and schedule her cleaning we were given a $78.00 bill as well. I was extremely frustrated this happened and when I asked why we had a bill the clerk didn't seem to care much and said that we were seen by a premier dentist not a PPO dentist . I asked why we weren't told about this upfront and she just apologized. Be very careful scheduling your appointments.
