Dr. Lauren Schau is a general dentist with a passion for treating children. She grew up in Iowa, but has enjoyed the Farmington area since 2017. Dr. Schau attended the University of Iowa College of Dentistry to obtain her doctorate of dental surgery. Afterwards, she pursued a hospital residency at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minnesota. Dr. Schau was in private practice and in public health dentistry before returning to practice at Animas Pediatric Dental Group. She is proud to be a young professional and aspires to be a good role model for anyone interested in the profession. In addition to practicing at the office, Dr. Schau is involved in the local dental society and also enjoys the outdoors with her husband, Dusty, and two daughters Annabelle and Amelia. Professional interests for Dr. Schau include infant oral healthcare, anxious patients (and parents!) and patients with special healthcare needs. She takes great care to engage each child to help them take pride in themselves, learn good habits to last a lifetime and actually enjoy visiting the dentist!
