The staff of Andrew Watkins, D.D.S. wants you to feel comfortable and confident in our office. We want to know about you, and we know you might have some questions about us. Here's a brief introduction to each member of our team.
Dr. Watkins is a native Texan who grew up in Bellaire. It's no surprise he became a dentist, since his dentist father anddental hygienist mother operated a successful dental practice in Houston for over50 years.
He attended Bellaire High School, earned a BS from the Univeristy of Houston, and graduated in 2002 from The University of Texas at Houston - Dental Branch. He is married and has two children, Evan and Kelly Rose. His free time is spent watching televised sports, playing golf and basketball, and eating apples.
Dr. Watkins' wife, Heather,enjoys facilitating patient'sneeds while building relationships with them. She has enjoyed three careers prior to dentistry: executive chef, part-time music teacher, and full-time mom. She met Andrew Watkins while working at Barton Creek Country Club and Resort in Austin, but dental school brought the couple to Houston.
Kathy Dimmitt grew up in Michigan but relocated to Pearland, Texas in 2008. Shortly after completing her Bachelors of Dental Hygiene from UT Houston Dental Schoolshe married her husband Andrew. Since joining our office in 2012, Kathy and Andrew have welcomed daughters Avery and Kennedy, and new son Elijah. They are enjoying adjusting to a family of five while settling into a new Pearland home. Kathy enjoys reading, listening to music and visiting parks with her kids, while teaching them the importance of an active and healthy lifestyle.
Chairside Assistant, Martha Carbajal, was born in Monterrey, Mexico, and grew up in Galveston. In her dental assisting career, she had worked with Dr. Watkins for three years, then joined him in opening his new practice in May of 2006. She enjoys her career because she likes patient care and meeting patient needs. She and her husband Jose live in Dickinson and have a beautiful daughter, Jaquelyn. They enjoy the outdoors, boating, and spending time with friends and family in their free time.
DeDe has been a Pearland resident for over 20 years and has a large extended family that she loves spending time with. She cherishes moments playing video games, reading books and dancing with her handsome son Benjamin. DeDe is also known to be a movie and sports fanatic. Stress relievers are cooking, listening to music and playing board games with her husband.
Amelia is a native Houstonian and registered dental hygienist. After graduating from Texas A&M with a BS degree she attended Wharton County JC for dental hygiene school. Amelia enjoys her work as a hygienist since it allows her the ability to develop a rapport with her patients and advocate for their dental health. When not at work she spends time with her husband and two boys, reading or playing board games.
Maria was born and raised in Galveston, Texas but now lives in Pearland with her husband and children. She has worked in dentistry since 2016 and in Dr. Watkins' office since 2020. When Maria is not doing outdoor activities and sports with her kids she likes to watch movies, read books and cook.

My girlfriend and I have both been patients of Dr. Watkins for almost 2 years. The front desk staff, the hygienists, and Dr. Watkins are all very friendly and work together as team. His practice and the staff's services are highly recommended!

My boyfriend and I have been going to see Dr. Watkins and his team for over a year now. We can't recommend a more professional and friendly group of people. We always feel welcomed and look forward to our dental visits.

Dr Watkins' staff is very friendly, so the office has a very welcoming atmosphere. Every hygienists I've had has done a great job! But what I like best is that Dr Watkins himself makes a thorough exam of your mouth and teeth and explains your situation. He does this after each cleaning!! I've been to dental offices where you never see the dentist unless you need major work done. I highly recommend Dr Watkins; he cares about his patients.

Dr. Watkins is by far my favorite dentist. He has seen me through straightening my teeth with Invisalign and maintaining them for years. While my mom was alive and suffering with dementia, he and his staff took care of her implants, cleaning them every 3 months with care and respect. The entire staff is patient and kind every time. Even though Dr. Watkins is very knowledgeable in his field, I never feel as though I am being over sold.

I've been going to Dr. Watkins for years. He is awesome and the staff who works alongside with him are top notch. Actually I moved to back to Dallas in June 2018 and i STILL come back to Houston to see him. I get compliments on how great a smile I have all the time and it's thanks to the great work they do at his office. Our whole family goes to Dr. Watkins! We couldn't me more happy with our decision on a family dentist. He and the staff there are absolutely the BEST!! They're friendly, professional, and very caring to all of our needs. My dentist before him was also AMAZING....I guess it was in the DNA since it was Dr. Watkins SR. My Tri-annual teeth cleaning visit was painless and very professional. I have been going to Dr Watkins since he opened his practice in Pearland. At first it was convenient because I lived in ShadowCreek across the freeway. Now I live 75 miles north but I still come to Dr Watkins and his professional dental assistants. I highly recommend Dr Watkins and his entire staff!

Dr. Watkins is amazing. He's one of the few doctors out there who really cares about his patients and never feels rushed. I drive well out of my way to see him and don't regret it one bit. Also his hygienists are really thorough and as gentle as they can be. Can't say enough great things about these folks.

The absolute BEST! I booked an appointment for myself, my husband and my two toddlers and the staff went above and beyond. The hygienist that saw my girls was just amazing, she was so patient with my 1 year old and reassured my 4 year old every step of the way. They had the best experience. My husband and I were so well taken care of. Thank you Dr.Watkins and staff for the excellent customer service and cleaning! If you are looking for a dentist look no further! This is it! Glad my family has found a Dentist we can trust.

I've had several dentist over my years and Dr. Watkins and staff are friendly, and professional and make my time there actually enjoyable. It's nice to go to a practice and feel like part of the family. I've been a patient there for 15 years now. I pulled both of my son's out of a pediatric dentistry practice and now the whole family are Dr. Watkins patients. I highly recommend!

Dr Watkins and his staff are the best. The office is very clean and well maintained. His staff is friendly and professional. Dr Watkins is thorough and does great work while showing compassion and a gentle touch. I have had dental cleanings, root canals, fillings and crowns in his office and all have been a great experiences. I highly recommend his office.

Dr. Watkins is a very honest & experienced dentist. My husband & I both go to him for our dental needs. I have just completed my application of Invisaline & it went very well. The office staff are outstanding. The dental hygienists & assistants are professional & excellent.

i highly recommend this practice! I broke the crown on a molar and Dr. Watkins was recommended for the repairs. I called and was able to be worked in quite quickly. He put a temp in and told me to come back for the replacement crown to be placed and fitted. Came back and all went well. I liked the staff and everyone made my visit pleasant. No problems since then. The price was lower than I expected to pay. Will definitely go back with any issues, in the future. Also enjoyed the wall art. Very ingenious.
