Welcome to our practice! I'm Dr. Wappett, and I love getting to know ourcommunity, one patient at a time. I appreciate each of my patients for who they are and respect each person's opinions and ideas. I know that open communication is key to my job, and always take the time to chat with each patient. I will answer any questions and make sure that everyone is fully aware of their options for care.

I graduated with a bachelor's degree fromBrigham Young University. I then enrolled in dental school atOregon Health and Science Universityin Portland, Oregon, and graduated in 2008. After graduation, I worked at the Tanana Chiefs Conference Dental Clinic until 2010, when we opened this practice!

Inaddition to my formal schooling, I am enthusiastic about pursuing continuing education both on a local and a national level. I feel that it is important to keep current with evolving techniques and material to provide state-of-the-art treatment options for my patients.

As a member of the North Central Dental Society, a local chapter of theAlaska Dental Society, and theAmerican Dental Association (ADA), I routinely participate in meetings that highlight issues that directly affect Fairbanks. I have a strong public health background which has made me a well-rounded practitioner with expertise in a variety of dental disciplines.

Our dental team consists of knowledgeable and friendly individuals. You'll find a friendly face to greet you at the front desk, and will be guided through your treatment by a qualified assistant. Our hygienists are gentle and thorough when cleaning your teeth. You'll notice consistent and caring attention to each individual patient.

I truly love living in the Fairbanks area. I was raised here and have lived here all my life, apart from my schooling. My wife and I stay busy chasing around our four children! We can often be seen outside running, dog mushing, or hunting.

I graduated from the CTC UAF dental hygiene program in May of 2013. Prior to becoming a dental hygienist, I worked as a dental assistant for eight years. I can honestly say that I love all aspects of dentistry! I have been given a wonderful opportunity to work alongside Dr. Wappett and his exceptional staff. My main goal is to provide the best treatment possible for all of our patients. I do this by customizing the treatment that is right for each individual, and using the latest education and technology. Dr. Wappett is ahighly skilled dental professionalwho puts his patients first, taking pride in all treatment he provides. Everyone works together as a team to create a positive work environment and atmosphere.

I've lived in Fairbanks most of my life and I couldn't imagine calling any other place home. Most of my free time is spent with my husband and our beautiful children. We enjoy the outdoors and try to make the most out of every summer. Our family's favorite sport is soccer and we spend a lot of time volunteering and watching our kids play throughout the year.

I have enjoyed my numerous years of practicing dental hygiene. I have worked withDr. Wappett since he purchased the practice from the previous dentist in 2010.My favorite aspect of care is helping patients individualize their oral hygiene habits with their lifestyle. I enjoy welcoming new patients from the very young to the very mature. As a craftsman, Dr. Wappett has excellent dental skills, he doesn't take himself too seriously and tells a great joke. I like the relaxed, easy-going, yet professional atmosphere in our office.

I am married to my fun husband, Marty, and I am very proud of my children. I love to travel and learn about other cultures and experience the rich history of people and places. I enjoybaking, walking with my dog, singing, and serving in my church.

I was born in Fairbanks and have lived in the Fairbanks/North Pole area all my life. I graduated from the University of Alaska Fairbanks Community and Technical College with an AAS degree in Dental Hygiene in 2015. I have since then worked part-time as a dental hygienist in multiple offices while completing further schooling; I earned my BS degree in Chemistry with a concentration in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in 2018. I am excited to have finished my educational goals (for now!) and to have the opportunity to work as a full-time dental hygienist.

I began working at Dr. Wappetts office in July 2018. I enjoy the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere of our office and working alongside such a friendly and professional team! I am proud to work with Dr. Wappett and his team to provide the highest standard of dental care for our community. My favorite aspect of my job is talking with patients, evaluating their dental condition, and formulating a unique course of treatment that will both address their dental needs and also fit well into their lifestyle. I very much enjoy educating patients on ways they can improve and maintain their dental and overall health.

During my time off work, I enjoy spending time with family, horseback riding, cross-stitching, walking trails, reading, and playing with our animals (currently two horses and a new kitten). I also like getting involved in community service projects as a member of both the Alaska Dental Hygiene Association as well as the Golden Key International Honour Society.

As your insurance and billing specialist, I am here to assist you through explaining and discussing your insurance benefits and processing dental claims. I enjoy working with you on the financial aspects of your dental needs.

I began working with Dr. Wappett in March of 2021. I enjoy the positive work environment and interacting with people. I graduated with a degree in Accounting, so I always look forward everyone's smiling face and of course, the numbers!

Our team is full of diverse and enjoyable personalities. Everyone works as hard as they can to create an organized, enjoyable and welcoming workplace. When I'm not at work I love being outdoors, especially in the summer. I like almost any type of sport but my favorite, by far, is volleyball. In my spare time I enjoy playing piano, drawing and painting.

I have worked in dentistry since 2006 and have practiced in numerous fields. I joined the Army in 2013 where I met my husband. With his active-duty commitment, the Army has brought us to Alaska for the second time. We enjoy being outdoors hiking, fishing and camping with our daughter and dogs.

Dr. Wappett spent many years providing dental care in remote villages throughout interior Alaska with the Indian Health Service. These experiences provided an opportunity to learn to be adaptable to various clinical needs in unique settings. Our entire team enjoys volunteering our time in schools and at special events such as the Mission of Mercy. We stand in awe of this great land and have found our home state to be filled with incredible individuals who are our patients, neighbors and friends.
