Dr. Andrew Rastegar is a Southern California native. He graduated Magna Cum Laude form the University of California Irvine, where he earned his B.S. in Molecular Biology/Biochemistry. He then continued to UCLA School of Dentistry where he was honored with the prestigious UC Regent Scholar Award. As a part-time professor at UCLA School of Dentistry for the past 15 years, he has received numerous teaching and research awards. Dr. Andy is a strong believer of giving back to the community. He is active in charitable organizations such as Dental Care for Children, which serves underprivileged patients.
Besides his sincere nature, what separates him the most is his attitude and love for dentistry and his pursuits of excellence in the field. He is passionately involved in numerous continuing education courses and study clubs that continue to supplement his vast knowledge in dentistry. Dr. Andy believes in evidence-based dentistry. He tackles problems with an innovative mindset, based on reality rather than perception.
Outside the office, Dr. Andy enjoys spending time with his wife and rescued puppy Snickers. His hobbies include traveling, hiking and snowboarding. He is looking forward to being able to serve you as well as getting to know you.

Dr. Rastegar and his team are very professional and caring. They make you feel very comfortable by explaining your situation to you. They try to help you spend as little as possible by treating you for what you really need. I have been to several dentists that on their Report of Findings they gave a whole list of different teeth that need to be redone , Dr. Rastegar made me go through all these years without redoing anything.

Very professional and the nicest people there , best dentist In cathedral city hands down straight forward with everything got a back tooth extraction and really was painless and fast I didn't even notice he took it out . This is a great spot !

Get my routine cleanings here and everyone is always making you feel comfortable also got a filling done by Dr.Rastegar and havent had any problems so far really reccomend this dental office!!!

This review is way past due. I was in town for a weekend for Coachella when I got in a lot of pain in one of my back teeth. I contacted a couple of local dentists and I wasn't able to get through anyone. I called this office and I got the doctor's phone number from the recording and he was nice enough to come into the office on his day off. Turns out my tooth needed to be extracted. I had been referred out to a specialist by my own dentist but never took care of it. Dr Andy took the tooth out within a minute that i didn't even realize he was doing the extraction. I was very impressed from everything from the painless shot to the smooth extraction. Dr Andy and his assistant were so caring to come in on their time off to get me out of pain. Thank you Dental arts!

I was having severe pain on my back big tooth and didn't know what to do about it. I saw Dr Andy and he quickly did my root canal. I was very impressed because the procedure was completely painless. Dr Andy was so gentle and caring.

Dr. Rastegar is awesome. The reason for 4 stars has nothing to do with Dr. Rastegar. It only reflects a not so good experience with one dental hygienist.

I was looking for a dentist near me. What a breath of fresh air. Dr. Rastegar's knowledge is amazing. He taught me how to brush my teeth and floss effectively. I now floss using a Listerine brand hand floss and brush @ 45 degrees.

I had a tooth that was bugging me & went to the dentist, that first dr said my tooth needed to be extracted. Then I went to dr Andy for a second opinion & he was able to save my tooth. I am so grateful. Dr R is very conservative & reliable.

Highly recommend, I had really crooked teeth and didnt want to get traditional braces as they are an eyesore and unhygienic. I was so happy to find Dr Andy to get my invisalign done by him. What i like about Dr Andy is his professionalism and his attention to detail. I also loved his artistic fine touches after my invislaign was done. I am so happy with my new straight smile! Thank you Dr. Andy!!!

I have been fortunate to be a patient of Dr Rastegar for 2 years. A couple of weeks ago I woke up and was in a lot of dental pain and Dr. Rastegar fit me in. He found the problem right away and even stayed late to work on me. He is both a very knowledgable doctor and a very kind person and I am very grateful.
