In order to earn their certification as orthodontists, Dr. Pedersen spent 11 years in training. Thats four years in college, four years in dental school, and three years of orthodontics residency where they learned the skills needed to manage tooth movement and facial development.
Dr. Pedersen went an extra mile beyond that to become a Board-Certified Diplomate by the American Board of Orthodontics. This voluntary certification demonstrates his personal and public commitment to the standards of practice and life-long learning.

He went on to do his orthodontics residency at the University of Maryland where he received his M.S. degree in orthodontics. During that time, he was the chief orthodontic resident during the third year of his residency program.
Dr. Pedersen continues to attend professional development courses. He has years of experience with braces, Invisalign, and other modalities of treatment for children, teens, adults, and everyone in between.

Dr Pedersen is a great orthodontist. Excellent care and very thorough with explanations and planning. We have done both Invisalign and braces each one did a great job for our kids' teeth. The tech they use made it easy to see the problem and how to correct it. Great orthodontist and team.

Dr. Pedersen has worked very hard to fix my teeth issues. He and his amazing staff have been great! They have helped schedule and reschedule appointments around my crazy life. I am very appreciative of all of their help to make me feel comfortable and happier with my smile

I am beyond impressed with the service, care and overall whole experience that we have received at Andrew Pedersen Orthodontics. The staff is always genuine and kind whether we're in office or on the phone. If we have any issues, they see us promptly with no questions asked. Dr. Pedersen sincerely cares about each one of his patients and it clearly shows. He himself called us after hours the day after our son got his braces to check on him and see how he was feeling. That spoke volumes to us as parents. Wouldn't want my son seen by anyone else. Highly recommend this orthodontist!

Came in with a damaged retainer wire from a different orthodontist. They removed it and replaced it free of charge would 100% recommend. Kind and patient staff from the front desk to the doctor. Worked quickly and efficiently. If I could give more stars I would.

I got excellent care with my Invisalign and braces treatment. I went through the process of fixing my bite and straightening my teeth as an adult, which is much harder than as a kid. Their guidance and patience made it a smooth process. I felt taken care of and trusted them wholly. They were flexible on the timeline when I needed to slow down the treatment during my pregnancy. I trusted their recommendation to switch to brackets on my bottom teeth to speed up the process, and it was definitely worth it. They were otherwise attentive, responsive, and kind. The entire staff is wonderful. I'm very happy with my end result and would recommend them to anyone of any age.

All four of my children were patients here and I recently had came to straighten my teeth. My experience could not have been any better. The orthodontists are wonderful and the support staff are incredibly, kind, helpful and professional. I would highly recommend for kids and adults alike!!!

My daughter is a patient of Dr. Pedersen. Throughout our journey, Dr. Pedersen and staff have been so helpful and patient with us. They are very timely with their appointments... taking my daughter in as soon as we are checked in. I would definitely recommend this office for braces and Invisalign.

I came to Diettrich & Pedersen Orthodontics As a non-typical patient. I'm in my 60s and had braces in my teens. Unfortunately we were not told to wear retainers more than a year and my teeth did not stay aligned. At D&P the doctors and staff all made me feel very comfortable. I was offered both wire and Invisalign options and given details on my treatment. The process went very well. Any questions I had would be answered quickly. I could even have phone conversations with the doctors in between appointments. I would highly recommend this practice for any age. I know I got the best orthodontic care in York County!

Very clean facility and friendly staff! Got retainers for grinding teeth and the process was fast and easy. Their high-tech mouth scan was much better and quicker than the old teeth mold process. The place has a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere so it's not intimidating like other places. I plan to see Dr. P. again.

After a while, my retainers get thin from the grinding, and then crack. 5 years ago, Dr. Pedersen made my retainers, and I came back for another set! It was so quick - the digital scanning of my teeth was done in just a few minutes, then a couple days later he had the retainers ready! They fit perfectly and I'm very happy with the quality. Highly recommend!
