Hands down the best dentist around. I have had some bad experiences at other offices and Dr. Kim changed my whole mindset about the dentist. Their office staff is top notch and very informative about dealing with my insurance, who was out of network, but still accepted it and helped me through it. His work is very good and the staff was very nice. I highly recommend to anyone, especially anyone needing cosmetic dentistry.

I saw Dr. Kim today, he volunteered at the Noor Foundation Dental Clinic in SLO. He is the best dentist they have ever had there and probably The best, kindest, most respectful and professional dentist I have ever seen. I am going to set an appointment to see him at his office in Templeton for some implant work in a few months. Can't wait! And I've never said that about a dentist visit before!

I called this dentist in February to find out if they took the Tricare dental, the receptionist told me she wasn't sure. She took down my information, and said she would call the insurance company to find out. She called me back later to tell me that they would be able to accept our insurance and that they checked to see what all services we would qualify to get. I had explained that our insurance paid 100% of our dental services, and I wanted to make sure that we wouldn't be paying out of pocket. She said as long as we hadn't seen any other dentist that hadn't yet billed insurance that our services would be covered. Fast forward 2 months after we were seen, and she calls to tell me that our insurance just didn't pay nearly enough and that she would be sending a $500 bill for the difference. I got onto our insurance and saw that they are an out of network insurance provider. NEVER ONCE did she tell me that they would be out of network, or else I would have gone to another dentist. I asked to speak to Dr. Kim and she stated that because I was hostile, he wanted her to handle the matter. She then stated that if I didn't pay the bill in 10 days that they would send me to collections. She was extremely argumentative, told me she had paperwork I signed that stated I knew we were out of network. I asked her to send it to me, then she said it said I agreed to pay what insurance didn't pay. There business practice is poor and they did a lie of omission by not telling us they were out of network. Our insurance didn't even pay half of the bill because they were out of network. While trying to figure out why I wasn't informed that they were out of network, she stated that they are out of network for ALL insurances and that they make sure to tell patients this. That was not told to me, that is something I would have remembered as I know payment rate for out of network doctors is so low by insurance. They had recommended further services for my child, and told me that insurance covered it. I agreed to have the services performed and then get a bill for more than half of the services as the insurance didn't fully cover it since they are out of network. IF anyone charging insurance tells you that it is covered by insurance, then that is what you think. That its covered by insurance except for your copay. When you have a $0 copay that is what you expect to pay. If you go to this dentist, make sure you understand that your dental insurance will be billed out of network. Also she told me that if I didn't pay my bill in 10 days that they would send me to collections, however, the bill states due date is 30 days out. They are absolutely ridiculous. Be prepared to be treated like dirt with them.

My experience at Dr. Kim's office was by far one of the best I've had. Dr. Kim and his staff made me feel comfortable and at home right away. I would recommend Dr.kims office to anyone with 100% confidence in his practice . I can now say after going to Dr. Andrew Kim I am no longer in fear of any kinda of dental work .

Extremely not recomending this guy. He is a complete jerk,super rude and treated me and my wife like we were drug dealers.He was completely unprofessional and called both me and my wife names. Dr Kim all 6 of our family members are getting a new dentist because Dr Kim is unprofessional and I wish I could have recorded our conversation with him so that all his patient's can see how much of a jerk he is. That office should have been a veterinarian office, as they like to treat people like animals. They rather their patience don't speak....never have i ever been to a dentist or a doctor never or had a prescription in my life and this rude dentist treated me like a drug seeker... shame on Dr. Kim because your no doctor.....and your response down below is a bunch of bologne and you know it you don't care about your patients and the the day I called after hour with the number you provided you got all upset with me for calling your private line...news flash! You guave me the number yourself on my way out the door!....I'm going to go on any review sites or place where I can get my word across and let people know what kind of dentist/doctor you are. ...and again you are going to have your secretary call me and yell at me some more about my honest review..scolding me for over a half an hour like I was a child because she didn't think it was fair that I share my experience at your office. You're office should be shut down for good, you have no bedside manor and are moneyhungry. Thank you, Eddie Rodriguez

If I could make it a no star I would. My problem however is not with the staff but Dr.Kim himself. He is beyond unethical and has a horrible way of treating people who are in severe pain. He treated my husband like a drug seeker. I myself am I nurse and I could not believe the way he spoke to me. Telling me that pulling out a couple teeth that had infection or doing root canals don't cause pain. That is rediculous to say the least. He wouldn't even answer simple questions for me since my husband was having a hard time speaking. I'm still in shock that someone like this is allowed to practice medicine of any kind. And my family had seen him for years. He just isn't the same dentist I remember from years ago. Something has changed in him and all caring went out the window and all he cares about is money now. I'm so disappointed. I will never recommend him to any of my patients nor to any of my friends. Waisted time and money. Plus he bills for procedures that haven't been done and then doesn't finish them...as he did to my mother. What a horrible excuse for a human being.

I have been going to Dr. Kim's office for years now. I have good teeth and take care of them so I haven't had to have any major work done by him but I have never had any issues with the office or any of the ladies that work there with him. I've never had to wait more than a few minutes to get in and he spends time checking on everything at the end of your visit. It always surprises me how much he can remember about my family (we all go to him). I swear he has to take notes and checks them before walking into the room! Either way I am impressed! Nothing but good things to say.

Dr. Kim and his staff will provide you with wonderful care. He is an outstanding dentist with many years of experience. Each and every staff member are friendly, knowledgeable and a joy to work with. Believe me, if I could give him 6 starts I would. A truly great dentist.

Great office with quality personalized dentistry and a friendly professional staff. Unusual to find a office where the doctor spends one on one time with you. Convenient location with a clean office. Way to go!

I am new to his practice. Very impressed with Dr.Kim's thorough and detailed exam. The dental hygienist was also very thorough. They took the time and answered questions and concerns I had about general dental care.
